  1. I use chicken gizzards for catfishing. They stay firmer on the hooks than liver and it's harder for the turtles to steal the bait off the hook. I also have good luck with bread balls, but 1/2 the time turtle gets to first...at least bread is cheap.
  2. My spinning reels are all set up for the left hand. So when I bought my first baitcaster, I naturally went with a lefty. I never had the chance to try and get used to a righty so I guess ignorance is bliss I am very happy with my lefty.
  3. I know that it's not a bass, but I recently caught a catfish that I planned to keep and cook. So I threw it in a cooler on top of a bag of ice. 20 minutes later I looked in the cooler and the thing was still alive. So I decided it put it back in the water and let it swim away. So I am not sure how long bass can live out of the water, but a catfish can live quite a while.
  4. Good job. Now that you've caught your first carp, you'll be hooked. But they don't come so easy. When you want to catch them, they don't seem to cooperate Keep up the good work!
  5. Very nice. I've been catching some on chicken liver, but not quite as successful as you. I'll keep trying.
