Flick Shake Rig Largemouth Vs Smallmouth
The current might have drifted the bait into the fish and there is your foul hook. I don't know if hook type would prevent that. I don't really fish for large mouth so I don't know if the rig is different between them.

Flick Shake Rig Largemouth Vs Smallmouth
No. Do I feel bad about about hurting a fish? Sometimes. Does it stop me from using an effective technique? NO!!! If that were the case I'd never use a lure with treble hooks again. Ever caught a fish on a treble hook lure only to get the treble out of its mouth and have another one hook it in the body or fins?

If You Could Only Have One Bait For The Rest Of Your Life???
A bobber and a hook and some sort of creepy crawler on the hook.

Never tried the stout but I'm a big fan of the brown ale.

Rock Bass Are Fun
There fun but they always seem to pee on me which is not what I'd call a great time lol.

Trying To Turn Things Around
Congrats that's great news. Not to be a bummer but it might not be a bad idea to squirrel a few checks away first. Again though congrats.

Daiwa Td Pencil
I've had two these for a few years and probably only fished them once. They seem like well made lures but I'm confused on how to fish it. Is it a popper or walk the dog style? Or kind of like a gunfish? Any help appreciated.

Hookset For Tube Jigs
I was going to write a response but this hits it on the head. I would add maybe a better description of the gear you are using and if you missed the fish on the hook set or lost it during the fight.

Close Encounters Of The Human Kind
On a lighter note. I was fishing once and hear a commotion behind me. Look over my shoulder and there is a guy on a bike with someone chasing behind him. The guy tackled the bike rider right next to me and I see the badge swinging around his neck. The guy on the bike pleading he just needs a job. The uniformed officers quickly rolled up and took him away. Too funny.

Tell me about it. I'm really trying to go a month or two without heat or A/C and keep the dang power bill down.- Flipping And Pitching
I read about this a lot and it seems it's always geared toward largies. Heavy duty rods heavy baits etc. I was anchored up on a spot yesterday next to a drop off 6 to 19 feet pretty steep on the river. There was also a small rocky point. I saw this rock jutting out in the water about 10 feet from the bow and flicked my tube up on it and it felt like it hit the smallie right in the mouth. It's not something I do often but does anyone else flip or pitch for smallmouth? What are you using bait wise? And looking for structure/cover wise?- Spinning Rod "reeling Hand"
I've spent sometime reading on an Australian bream forum and it seems they are reel right pole left. I wonder if it has anything to do with the toilets flushing in the opposite direction? Anyways I'm weird. I wrote lefty; throw a ball righty. Hold the rod in the left and reel right. It works and fits me.- Air Conditioning
Up here in the Northeast it's finally getting warm. After another long cold winter the temps are up. I've had a battle for the past week with the girlfriend over air conditioning. She wants it I don't. We're talking 80's during the day 65-70 at night; low humidity. I get the fans going and create an air vortex. This is perfect sleeping weather for me. So without going into much more detail except that she has been on a cooking strike. When do you put the a/c's in or turn on the central air?- Buying My First Boat
I would second the comments on take your time and good deals go quick. It's a balance and I think the most important part is knowing exactly what you want. I looked for almost two years. Saw a lot of 60 year old 12 foot v hulls beat to crap and people asking 2-3 grand. Are you kidding me? One day I saw a nice 1448 with a 10hp. Called the guy and he said a guy was coming from Connecticut on Thursday to look at it. I took Wednesday off. Went and looked at it and it was mint. Mind you the guy was 84 he basically bought it and never used it. Wanted $1800, I offered him 1400 he said the other guy said he would pay full price walked away with it for 16. Having a stack of hundreds can play a big part in getting the job done.- What's Your Favorite/ Go To Spinning Reel?
I really like the stradic fj in 2500 but the pfluger supreme 30 (I've caught most of my fish this season on it)is growing on me. I learned after wasting about 30-40 yards of braid not to fill the spool all the way up. I was getting wind knots like nobody's business for a bit but it's good now.- New Citica
I hear they are going to replace the new curado with a 50 size and keep the citica.- Muskie On A Dropshot
Nice fish. Never know what your going to get in a river.- Best Way To Hold A Spinning Rod?
Split two and two or three upfront pinky behind. N- St. Croix Jerkbait/topwater Rod
I would say it depends. I throw jerkbaits and top waters up to 5/8's on a medium light fast st croix and love it.- What Sets The Hook? Length Or Power?
I think your correct here but I wouldn't say thicker hooks have more to go through but need more force to penetrate the fishes mouth which correlates to a heavier powered rod. I've been fishing a 6'6 light action rod with 1/0 light wire eagle claw jig hooks and have had no problems hooking fish.- Favorite Band?
That's a tough one. As far as bands go I like free. Fire and water baby!!!- Dobyns - New Contender For The $100 Rod Catergory
What makes these dobyns so special besides a guide, handle and reel seat layout that balances them?- 2500 Shimano Spinning Reel For Legend Tournament?
You can choose either size and it will be fine. The difference will be negligible. I would opt for the 2500 because they generally have more drag pads. - Air Conditioning
