New Design!
I think it looks good. Maybe I cannot find it but I miss being able to read a thread and with one push return to the forum home screen. Since the last update one has to back out of a thread into a grouping of similar forums and back again to the home screen. I like being able to go from the general forum to the everything else forum with a button click or the fishing gear to fishing reports forum.

Looking to throw finesse swimbaits
I've had some decent luck with a 4 inch easy shiner on a 1/8 ball head with 1/0 hook. Also throwing a fluke on a jig head has produced a few decent fish. Is a grub a swimbait ? Those always seem to work.

Favorite Shimano Casting Reel?

Makes sense....I guess the best answer we will get is here.....- Rainshadow Immortal Blanks-new prices
Makes sense to me. I wouldn't walk into the first car dealership on the block and pay sticker for a car. I would do my research and shop for the best deal. Thanks batson for giving the consumer the ability to do so.- Avid vs AvidX
I have both and prefer the 7'ml. I have two of that model. One I built and an old factory one. The one I built usually has a fluke tied on and the factory one is a bank beating rod i use pointer 78's, gunfish 95, flukes senkos grubs tubes the ned and drop shot the soft plastics usually have a 1/8-1/4 jig with them. I also have a 6'6 mlf sc5 I will build up someday. The 69mlxf is a great rod that I use for drop shot poppers small grubs and small jerkbaits. Its hard to explain the mlf is listed as fast but definetly has a almost moderate bend. The mlxf is not not a broom stick bit definetly gets into the backbone faster as it should. They are both great rods the best thing to do would be to try and handle both. I know that may not be possible so take my opinion with a grain of salt. We all have our preferences.- You need a new bow mount motor!
That's up to you and your budget and patience. Me; I would buy on sale or used. I did the later a minn kota edge 45 basically brand new for two bills. Remanufactured are about the same. http://www.boatersmarinesupply.com/m7/50838--minn-kota-edge-45-latch-door-foot-control-12v-45lb-36-remanufactured.html?gclid=CJOV2-HF5tACFUmHswodg_gCWQ more power in a tm is always better but this model has served me well on the river.- How long have you been bass fishing?
Probably about 20 years or so. Went on vacation in the Adirondacks every summer as a kid and would catch bass and bluegill off the dock and go dow.n to the locks and catch herring during the spring run. Didn't do a lot of fishing from about 13-18 due to other interests mainly baseball, wrestling and the ladies I remember being bored one summer day around the age of 18 and thought. I'm going to start fishing again. Went to dicks sporting goods and bought an ugly stick spinning combo. Fished that for quite a few years. Then got a smart phone and thought what happens if you google bass fishing and found BR and well been here ever since.- I need Alternatives to the LC Pointer 100
Side cutters work well....plus as a bonus if you ever have to cut a hook out of some flesh (yours or a fish) side cutters are nice to have.- I need Alternatives to the LC Pointer 100
Doesn't academy sell a pointer ko?- Rod, Real, advise needed
What's your budget? I am partial To st croix and gloomis rods and shimano or daiwa reels. 6.1 and 6.3 are good all around bait caster ratios to do a variety of techniques.- Reel advice for a St Croix Avid 6'6 ML
If the rod is a regular avid I would go with a 2500. The first stripper guide on my factory 7' mlf avid is a size 30, its huge! A bigger diameter spinning reel will probably make better use of that guide train. The avid x uses smaller k series type guides and a smaller reel maybe better for that type of guide train setup.- Pflueger Spinning: Are the Supreme and Supreme XT's Higher in performance enough to justify the price?

We all end up in the box or the sea but thanks for the reasurance- Owner Twistlock vs Do-IT Mustad Hooks
I had the same question awhile back.- 6'8" MH Duckett Terex For Jigs
What the difference between a spinnerbait/chatter bait and a jig ?- Ultra light spinning reel for St. Croix travel rod
Take a look at a shimano complex c2000s- 6'8" MH Duckett Terex For Jigs
Maybe...there are a lot of rods out there. I haven't felt many of them but I decided early on what components were important to me. Guides, reel seat and grip among the most important. Narrow down the reel seat and grip you like and buy rods with those features. I'm sure at various price points some companies blanks are better or worse than others but if the rod isn't comfortable to hold what does it matter? anyways that's my 2 cents on rod purchasing.- NFC 50% Off
Well that's a shame..... Hopefully the company can pull through. I'd hate to see a pioneer and a champion of our sport have to close down.- Perfect Senko Size??

Expect to lose some! Or in my case many!- Too Much Tackle
I know this is the antithesis of the tackle monkey but...I have to much tackle and I'm looking to unload some. I'm having anxiety over what to let go of, so I'm seeking advice from those who have purged before. How did you decide what to keep and what to part with? - Rainshadow Immortal Blanks-new prices
