Picked up my backpack at the local Goodwill for $1.99. This serves three purposes, (1) it's my new bank fishing bag,(2) it's a great way to reuse an item, (3) it's always a good thing to help the people of your community by recycling and reusing items found at the Goodwill!!
I use 12 lb Seaguar Red Label as my leader material when using braid. I tie the two lines using a double surgeons knot with a san diego jam knot tied to my lure. As with all flouro, you need to check the leader for knicks frequently and trim and re tie as needed.
This answers a question I've been dying to ask, you basically can put it on everything not just plastic. I have a tube of that coming this week, Spring can't get here soon enough!! Thanks for your insight.
I never hesitate to throw a spinnerbait , any time of the day under just about any condition. IMO it is one of the most versatile lures around. All kinds of different ways to present it with all kinds of different color combimations. Like all of the lures, a lot of it depends on the fish. I can't wait for my BPS and Megastrike orders to arrive then all I have to do is wait for the big thaw!!
Fished with it all summer with no problems. As a newbie I read a lot of info posted here and on other sites. One thing that stuck with me was a comment that braid wound and not fused was basically the same across the board. I don't no if that is true, but that was a deciding factor for me when you compare price points of the various brands. When I'm buying fishing gear I always check these forums for info and then try to make an informed decision based on that info and the fact that these companies will say and do anything to sell you their product. I beleive in the old adage never judge a book by it's cover, In this case the cover was Zebco and the performance was just fine.
Same here, started this summer using spinner baits and Texas riggin, gonna work on top water, shakey head and Carolina riggin this summer, if it ever gets here!! The information on this site is top notch. Thaks to every one who contibutes and thanks Glenn for doing great videos on bass fishing!!
