  1. What ever is going on in those bodies of water, catching and then mortally wounding and then releasing is not the answer in my opinion. That is not what I call catch and release. If it is allowed, I agree with red earth and release them back into the river if it can be done safely.
  2. They are all great anglers, of the current roster, in my opinion Jason Christie is above the rest because not only is he fishing both tours( Elite and FLW) but he is winning in both this year. That makes him truly elite!!
  3. That's how Gary Yamamoto recommends retreiving the senko. I have had limited sucess on that retreive and never thought about using it with other worms. Gonna have to give it a try on Sunday if all else fails.
  4. 1/2 oz Black Megastrike strikeback 1/2oz X-factor Blue gill 1/2oz Strike King Red Eye Shad White 1/2oz Northland Reed Runner Chart/White
  5. Bass are the only catch and release, yet there is an over abundance of walleye , pike and sunfish all of which are average size or smaller. I am not a biologist by any means but it seems to me that the predators out number the bait fish. With bass having an average abundance it seems to me that the walleye and pike may need thinning out. And as a side note I love the DNR's comment on the shore fishing area, what's the use of having it if your chance's of catching fish are so dismal.
  6. I would pick up some 6 or 7" ribbontails in the color that your fish catching senko's are in. Then peg a 1/4 oz bullet weight T-rigged and fish it until you catch fish. I don't beleive worms get outdated, add some megastrike( or the scent of your choice) to your outdated worms and see what happens.
  7. You did the right thing and the DNR must have been close by. I usually see them the following week after a call, once the word gets out that they did a sweep, I see fewer people fishing. Makes me wonder just how prevalent the sitiuation really is.(No license, Poaching)
  8. Nope. I figure they're just not in the mood.
  9. Senko- Green Pumpkin/blk flake Creature-Black Neon Worm- Black Neon Grub- N/A
  10. No problems with the craw here.
  11. Black megastrike strikeback, no trailer or trailer hook.
  12. I would definitely use those two colors in stained water, I use a black colorado from dusk to dawn. But that's just me, I'm sure some of the more experienced guys will chime in with some more thoughts.
  13. I've got some of the trick sticks, they are fish catchers and the scent makes me believe that Big Bite Baits are the manufacture. Not 100% on that.
  14. Two pair in my backpack at all times. A grey lens and a dark lens. Can't fish without them, I may need to check into the amber.
  15. Not so sure of an attractant, but the oil slick would let you know where you have already fished. LOL
  16. Braid with fluorocarbon leader. That's my vote.
  17. I definitely use scent on all unscented baits, so to answer your question, spray away young man.
  18. Last week carp fisherman came over to where I was fishing and started throwing bread to entice the carp. Bluegill immediately began eating the bread, my position was up on a observation deck and I noticed the quick flash of bass. Threw a t-rigged green pumpkin senko right after he threw the bread, wham-o, bass on the line . This happened three times, needless to say the carp guys moved on down the bank. I'd throw a t-rigged senko if I were you.
  19. As a shore fisherman most of the time. The challenge of locating and catching fish with lures is what brings me to the water. I refuse to become a bobberhead!!
  20. Check out the big bite bait tread, appears to be favorable.
  21. If it is the terminator T1 thumper, TW has them, although I picked one up in one of the $4.96 boxes at my local walmart. Hope that helps you.
  22. One fully loaded backpack for me, that's all I take land or water.
