  1. Lost total patience in trying to learn drop shotting, jigs and crankbaits. Sucessfully became addicted to weightless t-rigged senko's and knockoffs in July. Senkos became my bait of choice with spinnerbaits second. Not sure if I can commit to any new techniques for 2014.I may need a senko 12 step program it's that bad.
  2. 108 days between April 27th and November 1st. Considering Michigans Bass season started on April 27th, that's not to shabby!!
  3. Got carried away with weightless t-rigged senkos this summer and fall. Never thought about a bullet weight. Can't wait for April!!
  4. Since I really do not like winter, ICE would be my final answer!!
  5. This is a great thread. 95% of my fishing is from the bank. A well stocked backpack, 2 or 3 2pc spinning rods for spinnerbaits, worms&jigs, and crankbaits. A nice public park pond or lake void of development and I am a happy camper. Just my 2 cents.
  6. 1. Watch all of Bassresources videos. 2. Gather as much Information on large Bass from this website. 3. Go fishing!!
  7. When the water freezes until opening day, which is usually the last week of April.
  8. I'm sure most of us would not risk driving a car without a license, so why risk fishing without a license?
  9. Senkos and senko style baits, have now replaced the spinnerbait as my go to lure.
  10. 1/2 oz, double willow, silver and gold blades, Bluegill.
  11. Fished with them all summer last year, caught a lot of fish. As others have stated, they are available at your local Walmart for $1. These are what I used to build up my confidence in spinner bait fishing. Haven't used them this year, switched over to name brands in heavier weights.
  12. Great information in this thread. Glad none of it affects how or when I fish. When I have the time to fish, that's exactly what I do, I go fish!!
  13. Wow, what a fish!
  14. Didn't realize you were tying straight braid. You might want to try a flouro leader with the braid. Knot tying becomes a lot easier with that.
  15. With knot tying practice, your time issue will go away. If I could make one suggestion, I would use a 2/0 offset worm hook instead of the octopus hook. It takes practice, commitment and patience when learning a new technique, especially t-rigging. Sometimes you just can't go slow enough.
  16. Spinnerbaits , plastics and senkos.
  17. When I'm T-riggin, if I'm not bringing up some vegetation, I'm not in the right areas. Lately I've been bringing it by the bushels, so it seems. I've also caught my fair share of fish out of that underwater jungle. Weedless just means less weeds to me unless I'm fishing on a sand bar.LOL
  18. To answer the questions. No decals on my truck or boat . Makes no sense to pay for someones advertising. I know it's the trendy thing to do, just look at today's clothing industry, nothing but walking billboards everywhere you look. It's one of the greatest marketing and manufacturing gimmicks of all time.
  19. Not sure of your what type of line you are using. But for me once I changed to braid with a flouro leader my feel for the bottom increased immensely Suddenly I could tell the difference between going through the grass and being in the open. I use different retrieves all of the time, I do not believe that a worm is something that you can pattern. Craws and creatures maybe, but worms not so much. As previously stated practice and slowing down are the keys. And when in doubt swing away and remember the feel when you connect. .
  20. I use plastic shoe box's, labeled. Worms Fineese Creatures & Trailers
  21. Megastrike strikeback, Stanley vibra shaft, and Boo yah.
  22. I eat fish once every two weeks on average. None that I catch, strictly catch and release. And I hear a lot of flack from other fisherman about not keeping and eating them. Not that big a deal to me.
  23. Never crossed my mind.
  24. Hat, sunglasses and bug spray.
