  1. I've been out of the computer game for awhile. We got a couple best buy gift cards as early wedding gifts and we have decided to get a desktop. I've got a few requirements: Intel Processer Will be using it for some games, use with the new go pro. Needs a SD card reader, DVD drive Thanks in advance.
  2. Ya it looks like a key chain
  3. I got my Hero Black today. I can't believe these things are so small. I always figured they were larger. Got the WiFi set up on my phone. It's so much easier to control the camera with my phone ans iPad vs the camera. The SD card was shipped separately so it should be here in a couple days. Definitely need to get a few more batteries.
  4. I don't get too upset over move stars and them dying too often as its usually a product of their own doing, but I really liked this guy. I met him at a drift rally several years ago and he was a pretty nice guy.
  5. Agreed. Plus when you can talk with the owner of the company and get recommendations, it helps. I have a total of 7 now working on 8. I've narrowed it down to two rod manufactures right now.
  6. If you see them now, I'd grab as many as you can at the 30-40 dollar price. They are discontinuing it and replacing it with an updated version. All 4 local Academys here are sold out as is the website.
  7. Thanks Brian. I have a lite hook set more of a swing like when fishing cranks. I suppose if it ends up being too heavy I'm sure I can work a deal on a 744 or 734.
  8. Bulks up the bait. More skirt more movement and flare.
  9. Lately is the Berkley Havoc Smash tube and the Megastrike tube. Both float straight up on a shakey head. For the cold weather I like the Norm Blue or the green pumpkin. Both 4"
  10. I bet he will. Now he just needs a Core to go with it.
  11. Gary told me the 744 is a great jig rod for the 3/4 oz range with light to medium cover. I like a bit heavier rod than most like to use though. As long as you are not in some serious cover the 44 will be fine. Its when you want to get in the nasty that you want to step up to a 5 power. I guess what I'm understanding is this 735 has a deeper flex that most 5 power rods for casting with a heavy backbone.
  12. 20 pack of VMC outbard #6's are 6 bucks for 20 or so. Owner spit rings are 4-5 for 11. Even if you figured in 2 bucks for the hardware and the 10 minutes it takes to do it, its still a huge savings. I'm not saying one is better than the other as I have very limited experince with both baits, but if you are looking for a quality jerkbait under 10 bucks its hard to beat.
  13. Let me know how you like it if you don't mind. Mine should be here on Thursday of next week and I'm going to hammer some swims on the weekend. It's supposed to be super cold. That jig is hard to beat. I love it. The salsa with a watermelon red subwoofer has produced better than all other baits combined last and this season.
  14. Thanks Drew. Gary did the same with my tube rod as well. I've been reading and got a few messages from people telling me that the Dobyns XF is slower than most rod manufacturers XF.
  15. I've got 4 of them. Two suspended perfectly and two needed about 1/5 of a suspend strip. Split rings were decent but my rear trebel hook bent out when I attached it to the hook keeper and put tension on the line. I switched them out with #6 VMC outbarbs. I've had pretty decent luck with them. They are in my top 5 baits.
  16. They had it last week
  17. My officers said they were standing around and in their trucks this afternoon and about 2 hours ago when I went down town to get a sandwich there were a bunch of them.
  18. How bad do you want the rod? They will have the PQ on sale for their spring sale for around 80 or so but its a bit of a wait.
  19. Not completely. If you can guestimate how much main line you are putting on and be sure of it, just fill the spool with backing until you have what you need. Personally, I use the same diameter. I fill the spool with mono then strip off 65-70 yards. Cut, tie my mainline on and fill it up. Gives me as close to 65-70 yards that I can get.
  20. They are lined up at our local BP now camped out. They have been there since about 430
  21. my mistake sorry man. I miss read your original post lol
  22. Hooligan has the 702 in the flea market for 215 shipped.
  23. I only have experience with one brand and thats megastrike. I cant get the head to lay over when a platic is attached. Stands up everytime.
