Flippin....braid Or Flouro?
Mitch, No offense here brother, but if that were the case, braid would have been put to death a long time ago.

Blue Gill Swim Jig *update*
Let me know what you guys think if you don't mind. With Chris at North Stars shutting down web sales, I had to make my own I go through too many jigs. With the help of Glenn's video I think I have it sorta down. Here is the link to what the Blue Gill look like in my area. http://okiefish.com/TheBluegillPerch.htm And here is my jig I think I may have to much orange in the body. I was trying to get it on the belly of the jig, but I'm still learning.

Programing A New Siebertoutdoors.com
I'd like the option to see the colors of the heads and skirts in a large view. When ordering heads, anyway we could get a larger option for heads with a discount. Like if we bought 20 heads etc?

Lake Thunderbird, Norman, Oklahoma
I have never caught a Bass on there. The Crappie is supposed to be decent in the spring though.

Is Shimano Getting Rid Of The......
I can't see them parting with the Core just yet. The Metanium is at the 400 dollar mark so who really knows. They have been pushing the micro gearing pretty hard, so who knows. I sure as heck hope not though. I love my two Core's

Securing A T Rigged Tube With A Barrel Swivel
I can't think of the name of it either, but I've seen it used. Rippin, that hook or even better the Gammy Skip Gap hook works well too. It has the shelf the hook that holds it in place very well.

Couple Of Questions About Tubes...
- Thanks To The Majority Of You........
I frequent a few different forums and most everyone agrees that for the money the PQ is hands down the best buy. What gear ratio did you get?- Ugly!!!
One day an Audi and a Mustang bumped uglys……behold what arrived!- Stock Vs Clean Reel Video
Excellent info and video guys. I remember that video Franco. That is what made my start cleaning my own reels. Not to take away from DVT or any other pro tuners. Cleaning and properly lubing it will make it literally feel like brand new reel provided nothing else is wrong.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
I have pretty limited time with it and jerkbaits altogether, but it came pretty recommended for them too.- Chronarch Ch200E7 Or Ci4+
I don't think it will turn into a hate thread. At least that wasn't my intention. I want to get one really bad and still may pretty soon to bite the bullet, but I've been burned pretty bad in the past without letting the bugs get worked out. I agree with you on the G series DelcoSol.- Chronarch Ch200E7 Or Ci4+
Me personally and keep in mind I run all Shimano reels now, I'd go with the E6 or E7. I am still kinda leary on the new Ci4+. Nothing has convienced me or lead me to think its not a good reel, but the E series has proven itsself and had plenty of time to work the bugs out. The Ci4+ is still fairly new. Just my opinion.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
Thanks. Man I wish someone local had one. No one stocks Dobyns here. I guess I need to see how a 7 foot rod works for me.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
Thank you. This is what I was looking for. I want to switch up to braid for my jerkbaits with a mono or fluoro leader and want that extra flex.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
I had tried jerkbaits and walk the dog lures with my MHM Avid and I couldn't get the cadence down to save my life. That said, the rod loads like a wet noodle at the tip, but has a hellova back bone for cranking. That may be the only rod I never switch over to or get rid of as it is absolutely perfect for the way I like to crank. I almost never have to even set the hook. I just pivot my body away from the bait and it loads up perfect.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
Are you having any issues with the rod recovering too slowly when working the bait?- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
The reason I was looking at the 684 or 704CB was I've been told the tip is faster than most industry standard moderate?- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
Ive got the exact same Kent, except for I have a CU50E instead. Mainly off your recommendation and a few others. I have yet to land a fish over 2#'s. That fast action kind worries me with treble baits. I've had bad luck in the past with a fast action over a moderate. How does it handle for larger fish?- Jerkbait Rod Opinion
I'm currently using an Avid 6'6" MF with a CU50E and Sunline mono in 12#. Mainly off of recommendations here. I have been pondering switching over to a Dobyns for my jerkbait rod, but I don't know if I want the slower tip yet. I like the recovery as stated above when working the bait. It also doubles as my top water rig and I can work a KVD dog like a mother! I would like to have a bit longer length for longer casts, but I'm only 5'9" and fish on the bank about 75% of the time. The longer rod makes working the bait a bit harder for me.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
I'm actually using the 6'6" MF Avid for jerkbaits right now. I like how it feels, but I'm slowly switching over to all Dobyns. I'm not 100% sure i want to switch yet though.- Comparison Dobyns 684Cb V's St. Croix Avid 6'6"mf
I'm looking for guys who own both or either one. I want to try a 684CB for jerkbaits and topwaters, but no one around here has one locally to try or hold. I have an Avid MHM cranking rod and its just way to whippy for anything but cranking. I have been eyeballing the 684CB for some time but want to know how does it compare in flex to say the Avid cranking rod or better yet the 6'6MF Avid? Thanks in advance!- Opinion Needed W/ Rod
Sounds like a Dobyns 734 or 744 may fit the bill. I personally don't like the Cumara line of rods. Everything about them is great except for the grip. Its too short for me.- Oklahoma Guys.... Lake Hefner Tips
