  1. I would love to fly to Hartwell. Unfortunately, I live in Midwest. If classic was on Table Rock. I wont miss out on that.
  2. BogiEagle- Ice fish on the Bogi Lake and perhaps you'll see the truck that sunked last year. Correct me wrong if that ford is still under water.
  3. Im on their mailing list. Haven't gotten anything yet.
  4. Thats awesome. All I have is snow
  5. Sorry for your loss. I have a neighbor who is a volunteer EMT since my town is small to have a full time EMT, Firemans, Police. We have other town to come here. He is a avid perch, crappie, bluegill, catfishermen. He fishes for bass not passionately like I am. He tells me all kinds of stories when he was growing up. Its really neat. Spend time with your close neighbors as much as possible.
  6. Cant believe 2014 season is over for me. But 2015 is brand new year! When I was fishing Fall State in Dubuque, Iowa. I did a lot of lipless crankin, and froggin and pitchin on day 1. Day 2, I was with a different boater. He did alot of tubes. So I secretly got my Zoom tubes and texas rig with 3/8 ounce tungsten bullet. I started slamming on smallies. It got me hooked with fishing tubes. So next year, Im gonna start fishing tubes. Fish slower. I feel like I fish to fast. Im gonna focus on maps and topos.
  7. Bologna Sandwich. Powerbars. Gatorade and Water.
  8. I've hooked a bass and went through the eye. Fish had to gone blind. Im sure the bass is okay. I have caught fish and has gone through the gill. If its to hard to unhook it, I'll do the gut hook tip. Sometimes it works or doesn't. I had a fish this summer that did not make it. I prayed to god that fish will be okay in Bass Heaven.
  9. Got into tournaments. Fished Spring and Fall State for Iowa Bass Federation through BASS. First time ever. Didn't win or anything. I learned a lot and everything. I won a Wednesday Night Bass Challenge with 4 pounds and odd change. Got several prostaff and think of them as my family. Am thankful that I have great friends and especially my family, my mom, and my dad are very very supportive of my dream and fishing in tournaments. More to come.
  10. I've fished for years since I was just a kid. I fished for bass for 6 years and now am a tournament angler. Very competitive than before. Whenever I am at work, I think about fishing. Thinking of topwater, jigs, you name it. Im thinking about it. Every single day, I'm on bass resource lurking around, reading comments and learning. Everyday, I'm on Tackle Warehouse just hangin out on it. I work at 4 am til 1 to 1:30. Right after it, Im out on the Bass Hunt. One day, I bought my brother a bass rod and reel combo to start out with. He sure did got addicted. He wants to get into tournament angling but he can't. He plays NCAA Football. He'll text me, if Im fishin, or if I'm catching anything. Asks for tips, or whats this or that. Everyday, it's about fishing. On my facebook, everything if fulfilled with fishing stuff. Am I consumed with bass fishing? You darn right!
  11. That's awesome! Good luck! I hope Brandon Palaniuk takes this win. I'm gonna try enter as a marshal for the Elite series next year.
  12. I have never fished the Potomac River. I hear it gets very rough out there. Anyway, I feel like any river system in the fall. I'll hit the backwaters, slough, chutes, use Black and Chartreuse 5 ft squarebill or Shad color squarebill. Works everytime for me. Use the lure on lay downs, or timber or rocks. If nothing works, I'll go with Rattle Traps or Chatterbait but once awhile, I'll use Buzzbaits. Later of the day, I'll pitch a jig or beaver style bait. Good Luck!
  13. Thats what its called... Fishing
  14. Yep, I'll be there in Dubuque. Hope to meet you.
  15. Hes a big dude! I've seen his videos. Theyre hilarious and good gopro!
  16. Every time I hook a snapper, they bend my hook. They have strong jaw. It could be a bowfin. That has happened to me couple times
  17. I was up in Okoboji for Spring State with Iowa Bass Nation. Your right Iowa lakes allows 15 inch fish with 3 daily bag limit. Rivers is 14 inch fish with 5 daily bag limit. I think you cant cull til 1 p.m.
  18. Unfortunately, I rarely use sun screen. I get very very tan during summer. I never get burnt. Im no Cherokee but my skin is sun resistant. My family is tanned family. If it gets worse, I'll apply. I don't know when I'll learn. I guess im stubborn.
  19. I tag immediately and start culling at 1 p.m
  20. I'ved fished since I was 6. I live right off the Mississippi River. My dad was not a fisherman. My grandad took me out bluegill and crappie fishin. Until, I was 7 or 8. I watched Bassmasters on tv and saw some pro using a spinner bait. My grandad surprised me with a chartreuse spinnerbait and got 4 pounder on the spinner bait. After since, I've been fishing rest of my life. Recently got into tournament fishing this year. Just learning. I got my brother into fishing 2 years ago, hes been hooked since.
  21. Apparently, I just got couple things stolen out of my truck. Nothing big but makes me angry when people steal things. Anyways, I had to take my truck to a private mechanic to get couple things fixed. I usually put every gear I have in my truck but I took out my Denali Rods and 2 bags of lures and culling systems and everything I have. You name it. I took everything out of my truck expect a plano box of topwater that had Strike King Sexy Dawgs, Live Target Frogs, Jackall. I didn't think of it cause the box was in the back of my bed. Had 3 panfish rods, to take a break of bass fishing for a little bit while I'm on the bass hunt. I also got my spinner baits stolen, had couple of War Eagles, Booyahs, Strike Kings. Yep all of that stuff stolen. I'm just glad I got my rods and everything that I use every day I use in the battle for bass. Thing is my private mechanic shop is in a bad part so-called ghetto in my town that consist of gangs, druggies, thieves. You name it. I wasn't thinking at all. Now, it's time to make a trip to Bass Pro Shops in Des Monies, IA to restock on topwater and spinnerbaits. So, this happened to me. I'm now curious that did your gear or work horses ever got stolen?
  22. Lake Okeechobee Winter Park Lake Toho Kissimmee Chain Lake Fork California Delta
  23. Went fishing with my buddy in his 10 ft Aluminum boat with 30 thrust trolling motor. I didn't care about it. It took us to the spot where we wanted to go. I will always use a jig. Im a jig fanatic. Always pitching. No matter what, its my style. I make my own jigs and put on Xcite craw on the jig. Anyways, I told my friend to go the the spot that had gravel pit and tree hanging over the water. Had so much shade and very cool under that. so I knew that theres gotta be a 4 to 5 pounder. So I started pitching towards under the tree. Nothing. Did it again, nothing. Third time, I pitched a little bit over to the left. I see my line moving a bit. Hookset the pig hard. I use my Sunline FX2 with football jig. Braid has NO abrasion resistance. Hooked a 4 pounder. I was right Rest of the day nothing. Next day, we went out and try it again. I caught 2 beautiful bass. 2.5 pounder and 3 pounder.
  24. Look for docks to pitch a jig or texas rig style and pitch your lure under the dock. or look for submerged cover, do the same thing. good luck. take your time!
