  1. I think they did have it officially weighed.
  2. This one has been feeding on those small rainbows! 59.75lb, less than a pound off the Missouri state record!
  3. Yeah. I'd say just around 3/4lb I caught a crazy sunfish on a 10" power worm with a 5/0 hook before. Not sure what it was thinking. That one was like 11" and just under a pound.
  4. They really are my go to bait on my sister-in-law's pond though. When everything else quits working I'll put on a white senko weightless t-rigged and I'll catch at least a couple more. That lake has a lot, a lot, a lot of small bass in it though. Other lakes seem to follow what I said above.
  5. Sometimes I'll go and catch 10 fish on a senko. Other times I won't get a bite. Seems to work like that.
  6. There are lampreys in some of the smallmouth rivers in Missouri. They are in other places than just the Great Lakes. But yeah, your pond probably just has some sort of parasite in it that makes those wounds.
  7. There's all kinds of maps like that, and yeah, someone has too much time on their hands. They are called culture maps.
  8. I split the costs with a couple buddies. $5 for lots of fishing coverage that I can watch during down times at work is worth it to me...Only problem is only one person can use the account at a time so it kicks the other person off if they are watching it and you log on. No biggie though.
  9. You are missing out. The "tech" shirts made of the Dri Fit material are great for fishing. Cotton absorbs sweat and keeps it, making for saggy wet clothing. The Dri Fit will feel wet, but it lets you feel cooler without sagging and feeling heavy on your body, and it dries a lot faster. Even the long sleeve stuff works well in warmer weather to keep the sun off your arms without having to use sunscreen, while still keeping you cool since the air passes through it so well. Stay away from the Under Armor stuff unless you have deep pockets though. Get the cheaper Starter stuff from Walmart and the C9(Champion) stuff from Target, virtually the same material for much less...
  10. And it's very strange to me that a lot of the country calls it pop. Here in St Louis we call it, well, soda...
  11. Mine was shipped the same way. In a long box with just some packing paper lightly wrapped around it. I had a couple micro guides bent flat on mine that I carefully had to bend back into place. Didn't affect the way the rod handles though.
  12. These should offer better hook ups. http://m.basspro.com/Lake-Fork-Trophy-Lures-Frog-Tail-Hook/product/11111505010510/
  13. Brady was hardly a no name college QB. He won 20 of the 25 games he started. Just didn't get drafted high...
  14. Stanley makes a short arm compact spinnerbait that has worked well for me.
  15. Anyone know if its true or not that the Bionic combos (with bionic blade rods) have different reels than if you bought just the reel separate??
  16. Yes but at the time the Broncos needed a QB an were desperate. The Pats don't need a QB. Where is this guy going to fit in. He's not a true RB. He's more of a scrambler that makes things happen when the pocket collapses. Maybe they need a prayer leader before the game?
  17. Anyone using these? I got some gift cards to BPS and was looking for a cheaper setup with LH retrieve and a 7:1 gear ratio to put some braid on for a jig/frog/pitch rig. The Bionic reels seem to get pretty good reviews on BPS' website but was wondering if anyone here had any input. If not I'll just wait for the PQ to go on sale and get another one of those.
  18. Every team needs a water boy.
  19. This is a big bluegill (actually a redear which is technically different than a bluegill, still a sunfish though). It's the current world record at 5lb 8oz. out of Lake Havasu in Arizona
  20. The Reds sure looked puzzled in the 10th inning last night Cardinals----> <-------Reds Go Cards!
  21. My 3rd Gen Revo S has just started to do this. I also oiled it and it still has the noise. Not real happy with it.
  22. A buddy and I bought a bulk set of powder coated jig heads with gammy hooks on eBay for about .60 each. I then bought a bunch if skirt tabs on fishingskirts.com. They were on sale at the time for .22 per tab with free shipping. I use 2 tabs per jig so that made my jigs $1.04 each. Can't really beat that.
