I invite lots of my friends but like someone said above they always want to go till it's time to go, but I've had my papaw in the boat with me for the past few weeks of fishing and i couldn't ask for a better time when we go

i usually take november off to deer hunt but other than that i fish year round, there is just something about fishing in cold weather that i love, plus i love jerkbait fishing

My buddy is supposed to be coming to fish with me next week so i'll get to check out his ducketts after all, the only real concern i had with them are the micro guides i guess it's all in what you like though. Thanks again for all the suggestions

x2 i started fishing jigs heavy at the start of the year and had a few jigs but now i have 3 plano boxes full lol i can't seem to put them down now and they have def. made a difference for me this year

thanks for all the feedback so far i'm one of those guys that can't make up his mind on anything so i just wanted to see if anyone had a strong agruement for ducketts, i do like to try out different rods thats why i was looking at duckett but it would be really hard for me to not stick dobyns i don't have one bad thing to say about them i guess everyone has their favorites

well really just the dobyns rods in general i own three of the champion series 2 of them are the 7'3 H action i use for jigs and texas rigs and i just recently bought a 683cb for fishing jerkbaits and i really am impressed with this one i fish jerkbaits alot and this rod is exactly what i wanted i will probably get another one when they go on sale again, and the savy series rod i have is really versitle i mainly throw jigs with it but my last few trips i have used it for spinner baits and it works good for that to

yea he doesn't live close to me anymore, so i haven't got to try one of his out.

I own 4 dobyns rods and i really like all of them my buddy fishes with ducketts and he says i need to switch over i've never fished with a duckett rod but thought about getting one to try them out should i stick with dobyns or give ducketts rods a try?

I have a dobyns savy rod i like it just as good as my champion series rods and i throw jigs mostly on it but i have thrown spinnerbaits texas rigs and flukes on it its a 7fti MH rod

Cool temps for me to upper 50's to mid 60's at night and 70'si during the day i haven't got to gwt out the last few days but I'm looking forward to the cool temps the rest of the week

Spro mcstick jerk bait and black/ blue jig have been my two primary baits all year

the rapala dt series and xd series from strike king are the only crankbaits i use

they aren't talking about any of those guys because jason christie is fishing out of his head, it's amazing to me what he has done this year, and with the year edwin evers has had he deserves AOY

the lower end of one of the lakes i fish is always muddy, where the backwaters are. When the water gets up a little they will bite like u wouldn't believe but they will stay shallow in the muddy water, at least in this lake and i use a black/blue jig with rattles or a rage craw by itself

normally for me i'd say i spend 2,500 - 3,000 , but this year i've bought 4 dobyns rods and 3 shimano chronarchs among alot of other things. i need to chill out on the spending but i'm not married yet and don't have kids so i figured i will buy up all my fishing equipment now.

i'm a dobyns fan as well i bought one at the beginning of the year for football jigs and now i own 4 of them. i really love these rods i have the dobyns champion 7'3 H for jigs and t-rigs

i'm glad you did this i just placed an order for some of the new colors in the big o series, the Big O series is by far my new favorite jig

this may have already came up on here if it did i must have over looked it but i was wondering what kind of not you guys tie on your jigs i have been using a palamor not and i like it but sometimes it can get aggravating to me trying to get the loop over the jig,

Rage chunk or rage craw i used to just bite off a section of the rage craws but i like the chunks pretty good now.
