Are there any good uv/ blacklights that are easily adaptable to a track mount for kayaks? I have multiple kayaks so I would like something that I can move from kayak to kayak as needed. I found some from table rock black lights but looking at the Google listing it looks like they are permanently closed. Thanks in advance. Chuck

I bought 3 rods off amazon when the pricing was ridiculously low.... only reason I tried it. All 3 off them (separate orders) came packaged in only a plastic bag covering the rod. Needless to say all but one of them was broken and one even had the tip taped to the rod lol(honestly don't know how the one survived). And the funny thing about it was I had to argue with customer service because they wanted me to send it back in a box....I told them if they would have shipped it in one we wouldn't be having this discussion. I've had great luck with reels and have not had any problems with a couple of cheap 2 piece rods.

Pay attention to your prices in the cart on the spro sales guys.... everytime i added something some of my prices changed. Most are correct but some reverted back to full price. Might be glitching out for some reason.

Yeah you should have no problems with putting it in the back of the truck. I bought a bed extender when I went to pick up my ride 115 and didn't need it. Probably could even go a couple feet longer and still be good. I think the rudder would be dependent on which kayak you get, where you are using it and maybe your paddle stroke. I've only had the ride out in moving water and I see no need for a rudder at this time. Had a cuda and lure 11.5 out during demo days and didn't see a need for one on the cuda but would not have bought the lure without one, it didn't track well for me. Flyfisher is spot on on the anchoring in my opinion

In my original post I forgot to mention that I bought my ride new from a retail store. I'm now looking at a couple cheaper used ones for sale. Sorry for confusion.

Caught one on a senko last year, overcast and landed the senko on the bank. Saw something grab it but had no idea what it was til I got it next to my canoe.

Had a question about buying used kayaks. Really enjoying the kayak and thinking about buying another for guests. My question is, is there any necessary paperwork I need to get when purchasing used? I know when I bought my ride 115 I got my receipt and a statement of origin. Not worried about warranty or anything, but just proving its yours and maybe registering it if I want to put on a trolling motor. Just wondering what those who have bought used have done? thanks

I think they are pretty comparable. President has the history, Revros is newer so we will have to see how it holds up over time. Last 2 I have bought have been Revros but I've found some pretty good deals and they were cheaper

President and trion are great spinning reels for the money. Great workhorse reels. Really liking the Daiwa Revros in that price range as well.

FFO charges shipping. Think it was $12-15. The aetos was free shipping if I remember correctly. And yes the aetos is quite an upgrade from rods listed.

It's been a couple years since I fished it but I think you have to go back to the main entrance/rental place if you want to switch lakes. The boats are locked up and I think each lake uses different locks. I don't think they charged us to switch lakes but it's been awhile so not sure. I think boats the way to go on a lot of them because the ones I fished with boats had very limited shore access. I purposely stayed away from the more popular ones which had more pressure and easier shore access. Have also walked deep into woods for a few lakes well off the beaten path, a couple were pretty decent but had very limited shoreline access. mo_lmb is spot on with the lake descriptions.

6.3/6.4 reels are very versatile reels, can be used for a lot of techniques. I probably have half a dozen. It really depends on how many combos you plan on having.

7lb 3oz. Powell 703c with Revo STX spooled with yozuri hybrid 12lb. Carolina rigged big bites baits Kriet tail lizard green pumpkin.

I've gone 8 in a row twice. First time was on a bigger lake where I must have got into a school of dinks that went crazy for the wacky rigged senko. Got 8 in a row and about 17 in 20 casts total. Don't think any were over 12" Second time was a farm pond. Skunked all morning, sat in my truck to eat lunch and regroup. Came out and the wind shifted blowing onto dam. Walked over there and got 8 on the first 8 casts. All were around 3 lbs. if I hadn't seen them swim off in the other direction they could have been the same fish as they were all the same size. Eighth fish frayed my line. After I retied, didn't have another bite.

Really like the Winn grips. Only have it on my newest rod, but will definitely be considering it on all rods in the future be it custom or stock rods. Really liked their grips on my golf clubs and think they're going to be great on the rods as well.

I really like my revo winch.....it's the first one not the gen3. Very smooth and powerful, with plenty of line capacity. With the right rod deep cranks like the 10xd are no effort the cast and retrieve.

I'm sure that would help.....I think it was pretty expensive if I remember correct, think they told me it was another $250 or so. Not sure if there are other options besides theirs that would fit??

I was planning on buying one but after paddling it I changed my mind. It was a barge to paddle and it tracked poorly in my opinion. If I had the money and was able to get a deal like that and had the room, I might consider it as a second kayak. It was very stable and the seat was great. Seemed well made and solid. For something to stand up and fish or something for use with a little current where you're not constantly paddling I think it is a great kayak. Not trying to knock it, just my experience. That's a heck of a price so I'm sure if it wasn't for you you could easily recoup your money.

I narrowed it down to the ride 115x max, Jackson cuda, and Coosa hd. Thought the ride was the best combination of stability, speed/ease of paddling, and tracking for me. Plus I could take one with me right away, whereas I would have had to wait about a month to get either Jackson so it was an easy decision. Now I just need these 100 degree days to go away so I can really put it to use.

Pevely and council bluffs down south. Wilmour, carondelet, bee tree, Suson park in south county/south city and Busch wildlife in St.Charles all have decent largemouth bass populations in my experience.

I would highly recommend paddling as many boats as you can as well. I was fully planning on ordering a feel free lure. After reading a lot of recommendations to test paddle as many as possible, a friend and I decided to drive 4 hours to hook1 in Tennessee because they were the closest place that had a wide variety of fishing kayaks to demo.....and I am very glad we did. The kayak I was planning on getting was my least favorite that I paddled. It saved me a lot of money and frustration. All were quality kayaks but some just fit your needs better than others.

I would agree with this completely. Bought the 734 savvy to try as a jig rod. Horrible sensitivity. Became my spinnerbait rod, does fine for that. Plenty of other rods much better for jigs. Haven't used the Phenix so can't comment there.
