Line Question
Yes. Tie a leader as conditions or lure type dictate, but 30lb braid is my go to on bc gear.

Green Bay
As a guy who's been to a couple winter games in Green Bay, I don't know if I could do that cold. Honestly, its not hunting where you can pack it in if the first hour or two don't bag you a deer. Your more or less stuck for 4-5 hours, the bathroom got so crammed (they are heated) during a 20* game, I can't imagine one that cold. It gives a whole new meaning to fair weather fan lol. I love the Packers, but I really enjoy having feeling in my extremities!

Bass Pro Price Match??
What Darren said. I didn't know if Scheels would price match, turns out they would. Ended up saving about 60 on my Lexa 300 last year. If they don't match its up to you whether its worth waiting for it to come in the mail then.

The Road To The Super Bowl
High of 11 Sunday in GB, low around -6. Lots of time for that to change, but its gonna be tough to play in that. Hopefully it bothers the 49ers more.

What Type Of Jig Head?
3/8 brush in bluegill or similar. If you've got a lot of weed cover as opposed to brush I went with his grass and tournament swim jigs last year and did well with those.

The New Siebert Outdoors Site
The brush jig is excellent, very versatile.

The New Siebert Outdoors Site
Looks good so far. Threw me for a loop this morning though! I had visited earlier and you must've switched it over by the time I went back lol. Looking at ordering up some lighter weight jigs, might send you a pm later Mike.

Ms Slammer Color???
What I did with a few of mine is catch some bluegill or perch, take photos, get garlic marker pens and color soft bodies to resemble the forage. The same would work for hard body baits with painting them.

Any 1 Having Problems Finding A Fishing Pal???????
Help launching and loading is where its at for me lol. Those extra hands really help and with my pos trailer I'll take it anytime. Fishing alone can be a form of meditation, but I hear what your saying. Sometimes you feel awfully alone out on the lake by yourself.

New Swimmy :)
12"er? I really like how the fins stand out, like target zones saying "eat me"

Mixing Skirt/jig Colors
Mike Seibert owes me at least 3 plano boxes, his jigs have taken them over! In all seriuosness, I agree with A-Jay, nothing wrong with multiple boxes for your jigs. I sort mine by weight and head shape.

Braid Color?
I'll use any color of Powerpro, slick or regular. Although for heavier line (50lb plus) I think I'll avoid the slick in the future and try more of the 832. Color to me isn't overly important, and as others have said, I use whatever works well for line watching.

Terminal Tackle Store
I did the same with the extendable paint roller. For $5, I had to gamble it would work, and it sure does!

Shimano Sahara Spinning Reels
I love mine as well. It's on my trig rod that was a custom build from Mike at DVT. 7'6" MH with enough tip to really reach out and fling that weighted plastic. Between the smooth reel and long casting rod it feels like you can cast the whole lake from one spot!

I Quit..............
Hang tough, and like others have said we're all pulling for you. I've been checking this thread on a consistant basis, and its really inspiring. I'm hoping to kick my smoking habit in the new year and knowing that other people are going through the same process, or have gone through it really helps.

The Road To The Super Bowl
I'd give a small fortune to hear what McCarthy said at halftime. Whole team turned it on for the last 30 min. Hopefully they play the whole 60 the next couple games or I might have to visit a doctor! Lol

Jerkbait Rod Opinion
Be careful about pain in the fingers, could be a bigger issue than just fishing and worth getting checked if its bothering you. I moreso palm my reels than hold the rod and the trigger usually lays between the ring and middle fingers and work the bait with a wrist motion.

Jerkbait Rod Opinion
I use a st croix rage I got a deal on last summer. The RC68MXF. 6'8" medium power extra fast does the trick, and because I'm taller (6'2") and my boat sits higher I don't have any issues slapping the water. Good weight and performance, and can be found very affordably usually.

Asking For A Response From Every Member
Be patient, give your bait a chance to do its job Be diverse, if what your doing isn't working change it up and be familiar with and try new techniques Don't be a jerk, some people don't have as many chances to get on the water, be patient and helpful. If your one that doesn't get out much, be mindful of others and aware of them.

Savage Gear Glide Swimmer
I like the bluegill and perch options savage has. Hopefully some of you southern guys get a chance to use them and then I can benefit from your research when the ice goes out

Savage Gear Glide Swimmer
I hope to see some responses here. They are pretty new, but as you said look good.

Better Deal Versus Local Store
If I can find it online and at the local store and its a more than say $50, I'll ask the local shop how close they can come in price. I'd rather support a family business, but at the same time have to support myself and my family too. Recently picked up a rod from the local guy, marked $220.00, Gander had it on sale for around $170 and the local guy matched it. If he hadn't matched or came down I'd go with Gander. On baits and line, its more of a as needed basis. If I plan ahead I order online, if not its the local shop.
