Budget Jig/worm Rod
I was using a 7' W&M Skeet, I know some guys dont like these at all, and other's cant stand the color combination. But for me this rod is a keeper I have 3 Skeet models total. Have only had it for 3-4 months and reason I saw "was" is cos I bought a 6' 9" Duckett for spinnerbaits and it currently has a jig tied on it. But thats not what Id consider a budget rod.

Life Vest Suggestions....
You guys make valid points about the auto, my thinking was in the fact that Ive yet to go over and the price. Ive gotten pretty good of just dropping to my knees or sitting down when I feel the slightest wobble. But after hearing your tales I have to admit auto sounds like the only way to go.

Sounds interesting but how does it fit a guy walking around with a pony keg for a gut?

Life Vest Suggestions....
How about the manual version? Seeing that everytime I go to this one lake it rains on me! Plus honestly that the ones Im looking at, I know it shouldnt matter but $100 is enough for a life vest imo.

Life Vest Suggestions....
Recently I acquired a 8' Pelican boat, and I need a vest. Im not the worlds strongest swimmer honestly I probably havent actualy went "swimming" since 94-95. I want something I will wear as Im setting this boat up to fish solo, mainly cos the guys I fish with that would be on the water for any amount of time already have boats and the other guys well thats for another day. Im debating on getting one of the $100 inflatable versions, but if I dont wear it is it worth the money? I thought about buying just one of the floating squares, but then if I fall out who's there to toss it to me? I had a traditional style when I had my other boat, and it was uncomfortable(probably help if I lost about 30lbs). Would you guys suggest one of the inflatable versions, maybe even the fanny pack type? Who's used them, anyone have to inflate one? What should I watch/look for?

I Need A New Reel!
I cant say much about the exact reels your asking about. But Im taking the oppurtunity to jump on the Lew's wagon. I use the $100 Speed Spool model, bought 1 liked it alot, bought 2 more continued to really like so I bought another. Previously I was using BPS Pro Q's, and they are very similar imo I just like how the speed spool feels in my hand a little better. Plus Ive gotten mind off ebay for $80 new. Its like Pro Q's on sale all the time!

Stolen Gear.
Im sure they'd give it back against facing receiving stolen property charges. Years ago there was a booming pawn shop here, after getting busted for having sold stolen firearms, they almost lost the shop. Go into it today its not much more than a thrift store and they dont have any firearms. Had several other pawn shops that are no longer in operation for moving stolen product.

Bps Extreme Spinning Good Or Bad?
68 ml/xf was my ideal rod for shaky/drop shot, but hey when your trading sometimes you take whats available.

Like Xcalibur Lures?
I enjoy the 50's also, been looking to add some 25's might take em up on it. I also like the Zell Pops and use their tungsten weights.

Single, No More
Yea, Ive never been married. Engaged twice before now and never made it. When we got to this point I heard, ring ring ring. Then once we buy them she tells me that you dont have to have a ring. My first reaction was seriously! Lets take em back lol. Needless to say that didnt fly. And I'll admit when she said that I was thinking new fishing reel!!!

Bps Extreme Spinning Good Or Bad?
Yesterday I acquired a 6-6 M/f BPS Extreme rod. Now first off, I HATE spinning gear with a passion. However, I miss throwing a shaky head and drop shot effectively. And with the potentinal of fishing tournaments in 2013. I felt the best way to get back to using it was to up grade the rod to something that I really like. A few months back I headed to BPS with $200 to blow on a good spinning rod, picked up several, a few was carried around the store before being put back on the shelf. In the end I ran over to Dicks and got a 7' M/f Berkley Amp. Just couldnt justify in my mind spending more than $50 on a spinning rod. Ok back to topic, anyone have any experience with the Extreme rods? Was it a nice pick up over my Shock and Amp rods? Think it'll work for what Im planning on doing with it? Im debating on taking the balance kit off as it just makes it weigh a ton. I left a Abu Garcia Soron on the table when I aquired this rod. Thinking if it doesnt work for me and the guy I got it from hasnt bought a replacement rod yet(and hes not fishing now). That I could take the rod back to him and get another casting rod.

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
Ive been using that for my frog/toad needs. Its performed well but Ive not hooked up in the filth yet. It has a pretty soft tip which makes it almost to easy to skip with. Im debating though on switching it out with something with a bigger backbone for the slop cover area. In the past Ive used a 6' 10" Quantum Tommy Biffle flipping stick for frogs, I'll probably go back to that for the time being as I know the Biffle can pull out a 5# fish covered in 5# of slop. And Im thinking of useing the senko/toad for all my weightless plasitics, toads, senkos, flukes etc.

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
I had the 621, not really a complaint to be bad about it if I hadnt taken a gamble on a Lew's Speed Spool Id probably still have it. I also have 3 Skeet rods, crankbait, jig/worm and senko/toad all 3 have performed very well for me.

Bowfin / Dog Fish
We get alot of them localy Ive caught most of mine off rooster tails and 3 hook twist worm ala bass assasins, we have a local guy here that make them so turn so tight its just sick. Biggest one I caught was about well over 10# on a flipping jig.

Baseball Cards
I rember a bo jackson game but I dont think mine was for sega. You mentioned Griffey Jr, I should of had that in my list. I rember when Upper Deck hit the market $1 for a pack, unheard of. I was with a buddy one day though early into the season and he got 2 Jr's in the same pack right next to each other. I did adventually own several of that card but never could pry one out of his hands. The Thomas rookie I recall chasing was out of Leaf, finally tracked it down to. Traded some diecast peices for it.

What Song Takes You Back To The Best Times Of Your Life?
While I enjoy a large range of music stuff ranging from old jazz & blues like Billie Holliday and Robert Johnson all the way to hard core scary metal like Slayer and Pantera. The era that means the most to me was the "Grunge" era. I have a portrait of Kurt Cobain on my shoulder blade. Nirvana inspired me to play and write myself and there was just a escape in the music of the generation for me. I use to take my lunch money from school and instead of eating would run out and buy new cd's and cassettes. Recently after leaving a band due to a conflict of lifestyles. I tried for months to find some guys that would like to rock out timeless 90's classics. It just wasnt going to happen, not for a guy looking for sober band mates anyways. So I decided I was done and refocused my spare time back into fishing.

Duckett White Ice Casting Rods
Arnt the White Ice rods technic specific designed by his pro staff pals? I listened to Duckett on *** radio a week or so ago and he discussed them briefly saying that it took Scroggins almost a year to get all the kinks out of the flipping stick he was helping with.

How Do You Buy Lures?
When you go to buy a new product, be a lure you havent used alot or if you want to try a new model of one you already use what is your approach? Do you buy 3+ hard baits or bags of each of your go to colors? Do you pick up 1-2 of several diffrent colors to make sure your covered, and then if you decide to switch over buy multiples of the colors and sizes you'll throw most often?

Yesterday my fiance and I went and sealed the deal. We've been together or going on 4 years and have a 1 year old baby(I dont do months) together. Got one question for you married guys though. Why does a wedding band seem to weigh so much more than other rings? Im being serious its like its sitting there saying "Hey Bud!"

Baseball Cards
Just curious what are some of the most memorable cards of your day? You didnt have to own them. Mine? 1. 1988 Fleer Billy Ripken "F" Face card. Has to be one the most notorius opps issues ever. 2. 1989 Score Bo Jackson "Bo Knows" I think it was 89, it was the black and white card with him in shoulder pads with a bad across his shoulders. If I recall correctly that card hit $10-15 in Beckett for a short while. 3. 1985 Topps Eric Davis rookie card, pick em up for $5 a pop all day long on ebay now days but as a kid growing up a Reds fan when this card was at its peak I beleive $15-$20 it seemed like a far fetched dream to obtain one. 4. 1975 Topps George Brett rookie card, like I said offered my sister for one. 5. 2006 Michah Ownings topps, you think a releif pitcher who's floated around MLB. Heck I dont even know where he is at now. What makes this hit the list is I use to send cards through the mail to get autographed, not only did he sign it but he personalized it to my now 6 year old son. Ive ended up owning every card on this list. Some of them several of each card. But those are the cards for me that recalls the most memorys.

Baseball Cards
I should of added, the best way to potentialy find guys that collect in your area is to join The Bench http://www.thebenchtrading.com/ I was there in 2006 was the quickest at the time to join there HOF. I was able to find a few shops within a hour or so drive as well as 4-5 collectors in my backyard. I wouldnt go there and try to sell, but if you wanted to get back in the hobby this is a great place to start.

Baseball Cards
I collected in my youth as well. The first real cards I rember buying was the 1986 topps, I used a photo album to keep my favorite players sorted. From then till around the time I graduated (96) I was pretty hardcore in baseball, football and basketball and tinkered in NASCAR die cast and cards. In high school I worked at a card shop(anyone rember those?) and was known as a walking price guide. People use to test me all the time grabbing the latest issue of Beckett and just selecting a card at random, rarely was I off and never by much. My 2 biggest pack pulls was I once paid $20 for 1 pack of 1984 Topps football, think the box said 35 cents a pack. The card before the gum was a perfectly centered Dan Marino rookie, the shop owner cussed me for that pull. I later traded it for a tattoo. My 2nd biggest pull was from a more recent issue. 2006 topps baseball, local shop owner bought the only left was giving me grief for buying retail said Id never pull nothing. $20 blaster box proved him wrong, as I pulled a Cal Ripken auto redemption card which I sold for $150, plus a Adam Wainwright auto rookie. No clue where that topped out at as he was still just a prospect in 2006. I returned to the hobby in 2006 when my son was born. Thought Id build a collection together with him, but the hobby wasnt the same. So much new stuff out like #'d cards, game used swatch's and autographs among others that its next to impossible to collect one specific thing. When I left the hobby for good, Topps had a product out that was around $200-300 a box I beleive you got something like 10 packs and 4 cards per. Now there was some really cool stuff in there, could get cut autographs of alot of old timers, as well as swatch cards with guys like Pujols, Babe Ruth, Arod, Mike Schmidt on one card which I thought was really cool. No way I could afford that product though. When I finally walked away and sold my collect I kept 2 small player collections. First one was Ron Gant had over 6,000 cards total and around 80% of every card beckett recongizes. My other was Scott Rolen which was about 3,000 cards deep and around 40%. Now days, when I want a peice of memorbilia I turn to bobble heads, and my 6 year old thinks those are alot cooler than the cards where. If I was you, Id talk to your boys. If they are not old enough yet then hold on to them till they are. Let them decide what to do with them. Plus keep in mind late 80's-early 90's had to be the worst period for cards they was cheap and the volume of those cards far out weighs the desire. Ive been contacted by people still today who has "Nice big collections full of star rookies", only to look at it and honestly be able to tell them they'd do well to get $20-30 out of a huge collection. No one wants volume they want high end stuff.

Vicious Pro Elite Flurocarbon
Anyone have any experience with this line? I use to use the plain Vicious Flurocarbon and really liked it. Was buying it at a local shop untill all of a sudden I ran into 3-4 spools in a row that had just loads of memory. Dont know if it was a bad batch that the store got or what. They no longer carry it either. At that time I was also using Vicious Co-poly, and really liked it as well. So needless to say today I decided to try to try the level up as Ive been debating on using a line that at least reviews better than the Berkley Vanish Ive been using for years. Only time Ive not used Vanish is when I was using Vicious.

Lew's Tournament Pro, Inside Out!
I dont have any of the Lew's you mentioned. However recently I picked up 2 speed spools SS1HS models. My review is simple, a 3rd one is on its way. Id like to get myself a few higher line models, such as the Tournament Pro. However, for what Im preparing for and my current budget the Speed Spools will more than get the job done. Im full on board in my dedication and support to this company as long as no hanging curve balls are thrown at us. I have to ask though, anyone use their rods?
