  1. Follow me at Ole_KiingCole !! I post only fishing relate pictures and a lot of cool shots. From small mouth to musky!
  2. Slow it down! My biggest mistake was tryin to act like ish Monroe and constant walk the frog over the stuff. Pause it a lot!!!!! Frogs in the wild don't constantly swim. Most of my strikes come when I pause it between pads
  3. X2... I know boulders and rocks that would love to add that 10$ to their collection of baits wedged between em..
  4. This is definitely a technique oriented question, depending on what your throwing, where, and with what kind of tackle all will be different.
  5. Depends what collum of the water you want your bait in. If I'm trying to get a spinnerbait down I'd definitely keep the rod tip down. But if I want my buzzbait to plane on top of the water right away ill pull my rod tip up. But overall my rod tips are generally down, due to comfortability.
  6. A cheap but excellent rod is the 723 powel diesel! The rod does it all!! I have 3 and I have yet to find something thing it doesn't do well
  7. I fish all techniques but I don't catch fish on all of them hah
  8. Isn't is cool how every pro knows their equipment so well? Like they know every rod reel line on each and use for each one
  9. Hope recovery goes well, and best of luck fishin too!
  10. River fishing and lake fishing to me I fish totally different. Rivers I do try to use colors that stand out more due to rivers usually murky, but also remember that fish position upstream and I have way more luck casting up stream with smaller or bigger baits. If they wanna ambush, they by all means will.
  11. War eagle 1/4oz double willow in silver. It's the only clear water spinnerbait i have, for good reason.. But if I had money I'd buy a lot more of others
  12. Haha... I cut off the hook on a 1/2oz jig and my dog thinks it's a you so he'll run after it and bike it, gets him exercise and gets me practice.
  13. Glad I'm not the only one...
  14. I've bought 4 custom musky baits all costed 45$.. But reason I justified doing it because they flat out catch fish and no other company makes what this guy does.. Now if I were to snag it, I'm grabbing my 100lb braid and swimming down to the sucker
  15. I love and hate pike. The "hammer handle" size I'm not a fan of but catching pike 40" plus is a crazy cool thing. And they do a good job of regulating the lakes around here. And the guys always put up a great fight!! But to the pike that bite my line and took my 7$ tungsten weight today, I'm no fan of him...
  16. Loons do bite baits.. I've heard stories of it.. The lake I fish mostly has a loon family who loves to come see what you your up to cruising around
  17. I'd love to get girls, fish hard, and have money. Now that's be the life.
  18. My mepps #5 is impossible to fish wrong and always catches a variety of fish...
  19. As far as punching goes, I see a lot of pros and people just throw a flipping bait on a TK130 and add a 1oz tungsten weight and call it good. But whats the whole punch rig idea? Being the jig skirt added or siebert makes his punch rigs with a weight and skirt together? does the skirt make it harder to penetrate through the cover? I'm just lost as to whether I should throw a whole "punch rig" (skirt included) or just throw a pit boss on a Tk130 with a tungsten bullet weight and have at it.. any advice??
  20. I've taken a piece of wood and spent the time to wrap braid back over it to use the other end of it to get twice the time/use out of it.. Anything besides braid I wouldn't ever try...
  21. I love how hard smallies fight, especially ones stacked up in a fast river waiting to ambush..I don't have a scale or a tape measure on me but I caught 9 in a hour all off the shore by this rock wall in the back of the picture. If I were to guess these both were 18' around, any idea on a weight?? Baits ranged from Bomber Square A cranks to cavitron buzzbaits.. Anybody else find a group of bass that just will hit any lure they see?
  22. The more I look at those 3, the bank account keeps gettin shallower..
  23. Just bought a lews tournament mg for 106$ normally 130 on TW.
