  1. Either a spook, or a bait I feel is overlooked which is the rapala skitter walk
  2. And everywhere in between
  3. 15 inch C-Mac worm or 12 inch jelly worm with a 7/0 hook, MH casting Rod and some quality braid. Has caught me hundreds of quality bass including my pb
  4. I recently purchased two of the x-rap sub walk 15 (6 inches 2.4oz) to fish for stripers during the summer that I usually spend on Long Island. However, the hooks that come on the bait are not saltwater hooks unfortunately. Will changing the hooks to something like owner st-66s affect the action? I'm worried the bait won't walk properly, but then again I wouldn't want a hook breaking on a thirty pound striper. Thanks
  5. For me: Spinnerbaits, jigs, BIG worms, and a big spook/frog on top
  6. I always look forward to your reports, and am never disappointed. Nice fish!!

  11. Hey BR! So, I was fishing the pond in my Florida community behind my house, and I got one cast in before I saw a bolt of lighting less than a mile from me. Unfortunately for me, I had walked from my backyard to the other side of the pond so I had to run back in the rain. But, luckily, that one cast in front of a reed patch with a 10.5 inch black ribbon tail worm yielded me this hog. Any chance you could give me a weight estimate? I didn't bring a scale since I figured i'd only be out for a short time because of the storm. Oh and by the way, this bass is definitely my new PB. Just not sure how big…I have no idea what I was looking at in the second picture LOL.
  12. I like a lot of fishing youtube channels but I personally enjoy John B of FTMW the most

Arrived to my Florida house last night, and stepped outside to take a look at the pond. I saw bass busting all along the reeds on the shoreline, and saw lots of fry in the water. I went back inside, grabbed my rod, and proceeded to tie on a gambler big EZ with a 1/4oz 5/0 weighted hook. This big girl swirled twice on the bait before I finally got a good hook set. I had a 7'3 mag heavy rod and 50lb braid and I still struggled to haul this beast in. Unfortunately, I didn't have a scale and I am conservatively putting this fish at seven pounds. It looked like it was about to explode with eggs. Also, does anyone know if the marks on her body are a parasite? Or are they just wounds from the upcoming spawn? I will be buying a scale today!!
  14. Guacamole and a whole bunch of other dips, wings, and a crap load of barbecue
  15. Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans
  16. I started seriously lifting about 2.5 years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. It is amazing how much I learned about how the body works (hormones during and post workout etc…) and chemistry. The muscles are just a bonus
  17. 2015 was awesome. The bass in the pond behind my house in Florida grew into giants, and I had some spectacular days fishing for peas. I caught my PB I fished the everglades back in april and caught tons of nice bass on a jig, which is now one of my confidence baits! One of my better years for sure… Most importantly, I learned more about bass fishing in the past year than any other!
  18. Thanks for all the replies! This day was truly something special.
