  1. It's a 16 ft. The only problem is the carpet's. But I can just pull that up and redo the entire boat. Paint's dull but that's expected out of a boat that age. I have pic's of it but cant seem to upload them from my phone?
  2. Looking at buying my first bass boat. A friend down the road from me has a 1994 Triton Rick Clunn edition for sale. Runs and is in pretty decent shape. A little dull on the paint job and the carpet will need to be redone. But the engine runs good and all electronics lights work. Gonna get a mechanic to do a conpression test on it. Its a 60hp evinrude. My question is if the top end is good is $2, 000 a decent buy? Trailer and all comes with it. Any input would be apprciated!
  3. What he said for sure. Cant go wrong with the PQ
  4. I'd go with the BPS PQ/CARBONLITE set up. I have the original Carbonlite rod and reel combo and I love it. Honestly the BPS Carbonlite rod's are a really good rod and not just for the money but period. I'd go with it if I were you cause I just ordered me the same combo two week's ago! I got the 7'6 H with PQ reel and I absolutely love it.
  5. Wow man those are some nice hog's! Just placed an order for an Okuma Guide Series Swimbait rod. Hopefully I'll catch some hog's off it!
  6. Honestly didnt have a scale but it was every bit of 9lbs. Caught in Brown's Summit, NC out of a farm pond. It may have been double digit's but I try to stick with the lower end when guessing haha.
  7. Thank's for all the info man. I know who to turn to when it come's to swimbait's now! Haha
  8. What about the reel? I see on *** the Okuma Millionaire S reel. It's cheap but it has some good reviews.
  9. Well I'm gonna have to get a swimbait specific rod it sound's like. Maybe the Okuma Guide Big Bait's rod is what I'm looking at for a starter. Pair it with a Daiwa Mill. S to start off and learn with.
  10. Yeah I like the size and look of that 68. What kinda setup do you throw it on? Line?
  11. Thank's for all the info guy's. The only rod I have now that I even think would handle the huddleston 6in. is a 7'6 H Carbonlite with a Daiwa Millionare S Reel. I bought it for a first swimbait setup would that be decent to start off with?
  12. Does anyone here use an Huddleston swimbait's? Was thinking about getting the 6in. version to fish here in North Carolina just wanting some feedback on how you like them and how you rig them? Thank's guys!
  13. When you buy a pack of new soft plastic's, How long do they last? I store mine in a closet specifically meant for just my fishing gear in the house. Do they go bad?
  14. Got one paired with an original carbonlite reel and love it. My favortie combo. Planning on ordering a new one paired with a PQ reel. Great rod's and a great price!
  15. Actually it was your video's I was watching Mikey. I been checking em all out and seen you throwing it. Seen how you rigged it on a twistlock hook too. Your video's are killer man. Watch em everyday after work haha.
  16. Thank's for the info, The reason I asked was cause I was gonna get a new rod for jig's, flipping, pitching and swimbait's and was looking at a 7'6 BPS Carbonlite Heavy action with a PQ reel and wasnt sure if the heavy would be a little much for this setup since I'm new to jig's and swimbaits
  17. What kinda setup do you throw these on? Ratio and Action and power?
  18. About how deep do these bait's run on a weight hook?
  19. Anyone here have any experience with these soft body swimbaits? Seen a video on Youtube of a guy fishing them over grass and in shallow and was killing them. Was throwing them on a twistlock weighted hook. Was thinking about buying all three sizes. Anyone have any input or tip's on rigging these? Thank's guys!
  20. Well I'm not gonna be fishing anything like they would see down in Florida, but there are some lilly pad's grass and structure that I would be fishing. I was gonna be using soft swimbait's on a weighted hook like a Gambler Big EZ as well as jig's and f/p. You think a Heavy action would be a little much for that?
  21. What Ratio did you get? Are you using your's for the same applications as I'm looking at? Thank's for the info!
  22. Yeah I was wanting a the 7'6 MH/F but it's out of stock and doesnt give an eta.
  23. I was looking on the BPS site and was gonna order the Carbonlite/ PQ combo in 7'6 MH but they do not have them in stock. They do have the 7'6 H XF action in stock though. I was gonna use this as a jig, flipping, pitching, swimbait rod. These are all new applications for me so would that rod be any good for those apps? Thanks!
  24. Thank's for the info guy's! I'm thinking about getting the Mod Package and then ordering some single jig's to match up with some color's I love to use. I love that the colors seem to match up with the Rage Tail craw color's! Cant go wrong there!
  25. I've had alot of success with a rage rigged Rage Craw in pretty much any natural color. Caught my PB on that rig. Any type of creature bait or worm Texas Rigged should do pretty good. As other's have stated shallow running crank's are a good bet too. I also like to throw weightless plastic's just hook and lure.
