  1. Lots of questionable things happened.....like taking pictures with the cops for one....not worth debating on here really. and just because you can afford them doesn't mean you do, it is a power thing.
  2. last time he played the former philly coach, Raplisberger contemplated retiring lol
  3. Pittsburgh must be ticked about that loss last week....they are really putting it to the walrus.
  4. I do, and i switch to football heads as they are less prone to snagging. I also use dragging heads as well which are also very snag resistant in the rocks.
  5. you lose 40 weights in a day? i am not sure i have lost 40 weights in the past 2 seasons.
  6. Adding the truck bed liner is going to add a lot of weight to the boat and also since it is textured i also imagine it would increase drag on the bottom. I'll second the 3M5200 for the sealant as well
  7. I do it all the time. I prefer fishing for smallies with the fly rod and certain situations for largemouth. Also to whoever said there are few rods that can handle the heavy cover, you couldn't be more wrong. There are plenty of rods that can handle the thickest cover you can manage and while the fly line may be rated to "only" 30lbs, there is so much shock absorption in the system i can pretty much guarantee you will break your rod before your line breaks. I have caught 20lb class carp that took me to the point i could see the spool three times on my 4 wt and the line never broke.
  8. I do have an ATAK and I love the boat....what specifically would you like to know?
  9. Different presentations for different situations. I use a weightless weedless rig quite often for the situation you mentioned. You also have to remember that not all fish are looking up to eat. There are also situations where you want to work a weighted bait through cover like a downed tree or to get through some heavier vegetation or in lilly pads. Bottom line for me is weightless plastics have their place but it isn't to replace weighted rigs.
  10. if i am pitching i might get a few before i get back into the groove since i don't do it a ton but otherwise i may see one small one each full day of fishing.
  11. They aren't a proven team at all but Pittsburgh was and every expert but one picked them to lose at home to the Steelers.....and not only did they win, they dominated. Their defense is stout and continues to show it each week. I am ticked we have the bye week next week though....
  12. So what are the excuses this week as to why the Eagles won.....they dominated Pittsburgh from start to finish.
  13. I have a few lakes i fish with limited access points and long paddles (4+miles) to get to the water i like to fish and having a pedal drive would be nice to be able to make those trips a little faster but i have yet to break down and get one.
  14. nobody in a plastic sit on top boat is that much of a purist anyways...reminds me of the dry fly only guys that used to frequent the fly shop i used to guide and work out of....they would always be upset when i asked if they knew that the first fly was most likely a streamer or a wetly, not a dry fly
  15. you are the man!!! and getting some good use out of that boat for sure.
  16. yeah you're right...except for the 4 teams part.
  17. I have never had a bass pull that much line out. The only time i have ever been spooled in freshwater was when targeting carp with my 4wt fly rod and i was deep into my backing on three separate occasions.
  18. Nah...but he also didn't have the benefit of watching teams walkthroughs or videotaping signals and stuff either. I am pretty sure he was an all pro punter as well.
  19. He only played for the for a few years but he is in the HOF at least and is the only QB to beat Lombardi in the playoffs...
  20. that reverse seems gimmicky to me though....while i have yet to fish in a pedal drive kayak i can imagine that the times you want reverse would be when fighting a fish. so i am supposed to take a hand off the rod and pull a cord and get it to flip around, use it in reverse and then land the fish. Seems more like something to say they now have reverse more than anything
  21. Bradford looked pretty good last week. I am not ready to go all in on Wentz just yet either. He is showing some promise but he has yet to play a decent team. Pittsburgh will give him a test but he does have some history on his side since Pittsburgh has a real tough time wining in Philly for some odd reason. I think the offense will be fine so it will rest on the defense. They need to get pressure without sending everyone on a blitz because raplisburger will eat that up.
  22. I don't see the ATAK 120 as a good river boat myself but i haven't paddled it. Not maneuverable enough for me. I want to get another coosa at some point for my river jaunts or maybe a cruise.
