  1. Zoom magnums and standard sized ones and Stankxbaitco jerk shads are what i use. As far as colors go, i like moccasin blue and watermelon candy or mardi gras for the zooms and the Stankx I like their blugilla.
  2. if it is that much of a concern either buy cheaper baits or buy a bite leader or find new places to fish without toothy critters.
  3. Only the Shadow Rap shads are designed to be slow risers, the standard shadow rap are slow sinkers.
  4. Yeah just charged it last night and everything looked good. I'll try another factory reset when i go out tomorrow.
  5. Personally, I would go to a demo days or rent a kayak from a shop fora few trips instead of buying a 1k boat and hoping you like it. I do think that 1k might be a little high because yo are going to see a lot of used boats on the market soon when the new boats are released and available because lots of people like to get the new boats and pro staff and the like have to get rid of their old ones.
  6. I recently upgraded my transducer to the HD transducer and it made a huge difference but I was having some issues with the unit not returning a signal for the bottom past 13' for some reason. So on the water today I reset all factor settings and everything was great except i could no longer use my cursor while on any of the DI/SI/Sonar screens. It worked fine on the settings, menu etc...but not when viewing the images. It worked prior to my reset so I am assuming there is some setting i messed up when i was setting up which screens i wanted to see etc... This is mounted on a kayak as well if that matters.
  7. that is different though. That is the bank/lender making the decision that you could get into debt over your head based on high credit limits. Your credit score/report is used by lenders to determine how much to loan but how they use the report and it's information is different for each bank for the most part.
  8. i have found that toothy critters bit through braid easily no matter the weight. Heavier is a little harder but it still doesn't beat the bite resistance of nylon lines. I currently throw mine on yozuri hybrid. The first one i had a pickerel bit me off when using braid, and i saw him jumping around for a while with the bait still in his mouth but i never saw the bait floating or anything so he has some new lip jewelry for a while i guess.
  9. yes you can but the angle of trajectory is different for sure. That being said, there are probably as many if not more kayaks that give you the ability to stand so it isn't as much of an issue as you would think.
  10. I know it isn't true, most likely but all i can think of is that the guy who owns the land is a dick.
  11. The stability of the ATAK is pretty amazing. i always thought the commander was the most stable and easy to stand in boat i have been in or owned and i was flat out wrong once i got into the ATAK. I have no problems standing, turning around and flyfishing while standing up. I am kind of itching for a boat that I can use in rivers more easily though....
  12. i think he is saying more because you will want to buy them all
  13. I use a crate and have it full with various sized plano boxes. I then keep a few bags of plastics up under my seat/foot area. The crate is stored in my tank well area behind my seat.
  14. I have the black orochi and it has done me well. I honestly don't get too worked up over colors for topwater baits other than is it light or a dark colored bait. Also be sure to look at the belly as that is probably the majority of what the fish will see.
  15. I have never heard of this in any of the credit score analysis i used to do, is this a recent change? your credit report has no idea what you charged on your card. What it does know is at the time the credit card company reports the balances to the reporting agencies is what the current balance is and if there are any payments that are 30+ days late. Which is something else to think about, a late payment of a few days is no big deal, other than the fees as long as it is current 30 days out.
  16. i don't have experience in the Ride 115 but i do in the ATAK. It was designed to not be impacted by the wind as much as other boats and i can attest to that feature. It also tracks pretty well and while it isn't a speed demon by any means, paddling at 3-4 MPH is not hard at all. It's biggest downfalls are the weight and crappy seat mounting design (which i think has been fixed in newer models). I cartopped mine on my wrangler for over a year and learned it was more about technique than strength. Now i have a trailer though, so no concerns with weight anymore lol.
  17. I have used them heavily, caught a bunch of fish and haven't had one crack. I have also seen that video of the dude trying to break the bait. I's a joke to me but there is another thread on here about that... I would contact rapala and let them know and i would bet you get them replaced.
  18. In regards to your credit score you want to have high available credit, meaning less than 20% used and no missed payments. Over time, that will increase your credit score. I would also just pay it off each month but honestly, unless you are getting rewards, there is no reason to use a credit card other than slight differences in protection should their be fraud. Your credit report/score doesn't know that you charged items and then paid them off, it just knows what the balance is at the time of reporting and if your payment was made on time.
  19. I guess it depends on your stubbornness (is that even a word) level. For me, I don't see myself as learning anything when the bite is on fire as such as when i work for my bites. You do build confidence though by fishing when the bite is on fire, just not my style per se.
  20. gotta thread it through somehow. I have used a wire coat hanger with a hook on one end
  21. yeah you could tweak them by using pliers. I know i have bent some back on trebles after pulling them free from snags and having them get bent out some.
  22. As i think about it more, I bet it is your bank flipping that is bending the hooks as that is the only thing that is different than what i do.
  23. I hear lots of people also say to only use a particular bait for a day. I disagree with that myself. I would say do your research, find out what types of conditions the bait you are trying to learn works best and find those conditions. Then you can learn the new bait in better conditions. Don't just throw it out there when the bite is on fire and they will hit anything because what are you really learning? It really helps to keep a log of your catches with conditions and bait etc....i am not as vigilant at tracking as i should be but when i do it, i see patterns quickly and that alone build confidence.
  24. that was going to be my next question lol
