I had the same experience with the hobie while being a cyclist...felt way too unnatural to me. I decided when the NK180s came out it wasn't worth getting a pedal drive anymore as I primarily am working against current in the river and the motor makes it way easier and i can cover more qater more quickly and then paddle downstream. win win. Great to have lots of options out there now...way more than I did when i started kayak fishing 20+ years ago

I wear my breathable waders with whatever boot i feel like when on the kayak, usually my wading boots though. Gotta be prepared for a cold water dunk and just a pair of boots isn't going to cut it. Once the weather warms up to the point I don't need waders I use my neoprene simms socks with my wading boots. Those simms boots look pretty nice though.

I haven't used a passport but I have heard good things about it and I know a buddy of mine has one and likes it and he also has a PA for comparison. I wouldn't personally get a 10' boat unless it was designed for maneuvering tight spaces and river use. On lakes no matter what it will waggle some and not be as fast. don't get hooked on the name either. I would also be sure to test pedal any boat as some people do not like the hobie pedal motion, i was one of those people. Another option in the same general price range is getting a different boat ad motorizing it instead. You could put together a package with a boat like the Wilderness systems recon and a NK180s motor and battery for a little more money than a pedal boat.

Whatever I need for the situations presented. I use braid, copoly, flouro, mono (rarely) when conditions dictate. On my fly rods I use a straight copoly, flouro or mono leader.

keep in mind that the UV damage that will occur over time will negate any warranty that you might have. I had to prove to them my kayak wasn't UV damaged on my warranty and that it was just dirty becasue i washed it maybe 1 time in the 7 years I had it and that dirt made it look like UV damage.

So much room in there though it probably isn't a big deal......lol

They actually make stripping baskets just for that purpose. you'd be surprised at how casting a fly rod isn't as bad as you think. Once you understand that you aren't casting what's on the end of the rod and casting the line itself it begins to make more sense. I can usually get people casting decently enough to catch some fish in about an hour.

It can be a concern but once you learn how to cast you can manage those issues pretty easily.

Calling out one fan base is silly and ignorant at best. There are morons in all fan bases but philly gets all the press. Vikings fans stab people in parking lots and are just as much a fool as any. I am also guessing you never even went to a tailgate in philly either because you would be invited over to have a beer too as long as you're not a moron you will be fine, I am guessing you would fall into that category though.

I forget who you are a fan of but if it is Minnesota I can't blame you for hating the eagles fan base. My favorite beat down in recent history being the 2017 NFC championship game when their fraud fans came to philly thinking they were gonna get a win and doing that stupid azz SKOL chant on the art museum steps. Then they got to watch them get trounced 38-7....... Eagles will beat the niners and you'll have to get used to the fans for another 2 weeks and then the entire off season.

Chiefs game is all about Mahomes health. If he is healthy we are going to see a good game but I think Reid will coach them to a win. It is kind of amazing to me how many people talk about the san fran defense yet ignore the eagles defense which is fine with me. Eagles defense is as good if not better than San Fran and they had a more difficult schedule. Eagles can win in a multitude of ways and I don't think this game will be as close people think. San fran will get a late TD on the Eagles prevent defense but Philly is gonna win convincingly.

Tuna from a can is good when prepared right but not into that tuna melt garbage. Anything else I will pass with the exception of canned chicken. I use it for a bunch of different things when i don't feel like cooking my own with the plans to shred it.

there is a video posted on here that basically showed a study that 40% of fish are in places that many call featureless or places people wouldn't fish. Fish have a brain the size of a peanut, they go where they want when they want because they want and nobody knows why they just know they do.

Niners have some great players but stacked, eh not sure. They had the easiest schedule in the league. The Eagles are stacked with talent and can beat you from all kinds of ways as we have seen all season. Bosa isn't going to run free like he has against other teams. There are 3 on the line that can handle him 1 on 1. Eagles on offense are way more rounded and have beaten teams on the ground with hurts, on the ground with sanders, on the ground with gainwell, through the air with goedert, through the air with Brown etc.....They can get to the QB from all places and rotate guys in and keep them fresh. Niners are a good team but playing in one of if not the weakest divisions in football benefitted them and I promise you Purdy will be wishing he was still holding a clipboard. Eagles are gonna win handily
