  1. Maybe my math skills are lacking but how is March to September almost a year? Give them a call and they will take care of you.
  2. Awesome!! Any type of boat is better than being on the bank. have fun and rig it up and post some pics.
  3. Just because they are made by the same company doesn't mean it is the same quality. A lot of times the quality of the parts are not the same even if they are made to the same tolerances.
  4. I thought they called them smileys because of the shape of the bruises they leave.... If i ever lived in a place that i thought i needed a 5lb piece of chain with me to feel safe i think i would move and i have lived in some pretty rough spots without having a weapon or any sort.
  5. Just once can you post up a pic of a small fish you catch so we know you are human like the rest of us? great fish.
  6. I know in some places if you put your two weeks in and they tell you to go ahead and leave they have to pay you for those two weeks. I know where i work they do that if they have concerns about an employee but no grounds to fire them.
  7. 1 1/2lbs tops....but it is hard to tell since you are holding out so far from your body.
  8. Unless you are going really long distances i wouldn't look at a trolling motor. I am not sure about your state but putting a trolling motor on any boat here in VA requires registration and then you have to factor in the cost of a battery and charger too. And i wish i had a roommate like you in college.....buy a boat so i can go fishing.
  9. unless it is deep clear water
  10. why no topwaters? And if you give us a little more info on the water type you are fishing that would help.
  11. Cast out reel in fast enough to keep it on top and hold on. You may need to figure out what speed they want but it is an extremely effective bait in the right situations.
  12. To me it is not about how they respect you as much as you respect yourself. I have always given two week notice because you never know what down the road will happen. And not giving adequate notice does come into consideration when hiring. Granted, if you are the perfect fit for the job then maybe it isn't as big a deal but most employers will wonder if you would just drop them if something better came along just as quickly. I also do not know how tight your particular area and industries are but you know word of mouth can make or break you at times.
  13. Those are the easiest catch....a pocketfull of ones and you are golden
  14. Interesting. Were they both pedaling or was it like a rickshaw? I guess it wouldn't be to hard to take a tandem recumbant and just widen the rear wheel area to take two wheels... The bigger question would be....why? http://www.terratrike.com/tandem.php
  15. Fishing will be picking up in that area here shortly. Keep at it and go with some moving baits or active topwaters like buzz baits and spooks.
  16. huh?? Were they side by side?
  17. You can add in tandem bikes too.....
  18. I never have used an A-Rig. I lie the money minnow and I use it with a weighted screwlock wide gap hook, i use trokar or gammy. Weight and hook sized is adjusted for the size but i usually go with the 5/0 for the 5". Big key is rigginit it dead on straight or go with the Doug Stange method where you rig it on it's side.
  19. Tandem kayak fishing is way less than ideal. I like kayaks so i would say go the two kayak route becasue then you would always have one to lend out and loading and unloading it by yourself is easier than a prowler. And let your buddy buy his own kayak lol
  20. I am not as concerned with ratios as i am in IPT (inches per turn). It is pretty straightforward stuff but if you want baits to move faster or pick up line more quickly, buzz baits, frogs, etc... higher IPT. Something you want to move slower, deeper crankbaits, swimbaits etc.. you go with a lower IPT. Just like everything fishing related though, people have their preferences. Some like the super high speed reels for everything while others are prefectly content with slower speed reels. I don't own any high speed reels. Mine are all in the mid range 23-25" per crank except my one cranking reel which is 19" per turn. I think most people. myself included, find it much easier to speed up a retrieve rather than slow it down and this is where the lower IPT helps out.
  21. Business or marketing classes won't hurt either,as many people want to open their own shop one day.
  22. I like the xraps too but i change out the hooks for a little heavier to help them suspend perfectly. Seems like out of the box they always sloooooowly float to the surface
  23. Crazy fish caught on a cane pole and hand lining at the end.
  24. I go after trout, usually native brookies up in the mountains and browns in the spring creeks.
  25. Luck is the real deal.....
