Last Time I Ever Help The Michigan Dnr
I completely see your point but to make soemthing electronic is not as easy as you think. And to Dwight's post earlier it is the law so either abide by it, go against and pay the penalty or try and change i through the appropriate channels. And believe it or not, not everything is out there to try and make money. THe DUI example is a poor one really so i won't even acknowledge the absurdity of it all.

I bet you don't forget it again though.....excuses are not up to the officer to determine if applicable or not in most cases, that is what the judge is for.

Last Time I Ever Help The Michigan Dnr
I am actually kind of surprised at how many people are complaining about the law and the requirements. Is it really that hard to have a license on you at all times? Do you leave your phone, wallet, keys in your vehicle when you fish? I have an electronic vesion on my phone and a paper version in my wallet. I was asked once to show my license and i asked if my phone would work and he said that's fine even though technically it doesn't count because you have to sign the license. To many people have the us against them mentality with any kind of authority and it drives me nuts. My dad told me when i was young, unless authority figures are asking you to do something illegal or immoral you need to comply as they are there for a reason and resisting anything will not end up well 9 times out of 10. It is funny how much more smoothly things go when you take that approach.....even when you disagree.

Small Stream Smallies
If you aren't wading or canoeing then what are you going to be doing?
-
Small Stream Smallies
Small poppers, walk the dog type baits, shallow cranks etc....in smaller streams the bass don't generally have the same amount of food that those in a larger stream would have so they are more apt to hit anything but they are also usually more skittish for the same reasons. I usually take my fly rod on small streams and throw poppers all day long.

So I Got My Knife Sharpened Today......
Wow.....i am not even sure what to say there.

Why?!
I find it is tough to get a solid hookset with that short amount of line out. Chalk it up to experience and i can bet he will be right there again. I know in college i caught the same fish behind the same boulder for probably 4 years and i got to see him get larger with each catch. He was eventually gone but i had a good time catching him almost every time out. ALso i have never left because of a lost fish but have definitely been pretty ticked off before...i tend to go the other way and get super focused on catching that fish. My largest brown trout ever i caught in january after he showed himself to me back in november. I was out there every waking moment that i could until i caught him. I have done the same thing with a few bass too.

Casting Accuracy.
You can feather a spinning reel and i do it every cast. Like has been mentioned it is all about practice for either set up. You can have the most unbalanced set up but if you practice enough you can become proficient. Same goes for spinning versus baitcasting.

Tips For Quitting Smoking.
Agree with cold turkey and for me it was about not putting myself in teh same situations where i smoked. I was pretty lucky in that i never had an addiction to the nicotine as i would go weeks at a time without smoking and it was never an issue. I stil light up once in a while but i have never gotten to the point where i need one.

To Boat Or Not Boat?
Wear your life jacket and you wil be ok. It never hurts to know how to swim though and i would highly recommend learning. Being I fish fomr a kayak i pretty much always wear my life jacket unless i am in a shallower river and paddling upstream in a paddle up float down scenario. I actually feel strange not wearing one and even wear it when i am in my dad's jet boat. Kind of like wearing a set belt, once you get used to wearing it something feels off if you aren't.

What Size Stradic Fj To Get
I think the 2500 and 3000 are the same body size and the spools are interchangeable. I could be talking out of my butt though and i am to lazy to look it up myself....

Kayak Transport
Be careful using the scupper holes for transport as this is a notoriously weak spot in pretty much all kayaks. I only use my scuppers to hold my kayak with a take out pole if i jump out to fish a spot while floating a river. On flatwater i always use the anchor trolley.

Who Uses Yum Money Hound?
I fish mine on braid so the long range hooksets are a little more productive.

Could You... One Rod/reel?
would be tough but doable for conventional gear that is. I would probably go with my 6'8" MHF casting set up because i could throw pretty much everything needed to on that one rig. Now for flyfishing it would be a piece of cake. Either the Sage 9'7wt XP or BASS II and i would be prefectly fine since i rarely take more than one fly rod with me on most trips anyways.

What If A College Angler Wins The Classic?
Fishing is not NCAA sanctioned as has been mentioned so he can keep the cash. That is also why they can get individual level sponsors and not break any rules.

Kayak Transport
I haven't built this one but I have heard good reviews... http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.com/2011/04/diy-bulletproof-kayak-cart-build.html?m=1

Big Fish!! Wrong Species..
Nice carp!! One of the most under appreciated species out there.

Kayak Transport
You mean like a cart to go from your vehicle to the launching area?

Who Uses Yum Money Hound?
I have used them and will echo the hook up percentage isn't great but 40% is better than 0% because you can't really throw to many things where these will go. They do cast a mile and are completely weedless and surprisingly easy to walk the dog with.

Help... I Think My Dog Ate A Jig.
Interesting banter here...I am also in the I love my dog but not enough to spend thousands on his health. As a matter of fact I put my bulldog down when he was around 7 because e basically went crazy and would go after people he didn't know and when you have a 80lb bully it can be pretty intimidating. Vet said I could use meds but he still wouldn't be safe around kids and the meds would basically be like putting kids on some of the adhd meds where it makes them semi comotose....oh and they cost 300 a month. I said no thank you so we put him down and the vet said wise choice as hard as it may be.... Anyways...so where is the result of the OP vet visit? And for the record, if I think my dog ate something there is no way I am posting here first. Now afterwards I am sure the story would be good to share though

Supporting Mom And Pop
I support the local whenever i can which for me is mainly Surf Side Bait & Tackle here in Mechanicsville outside of Richmond Virginia. They have a pretty good selection of tackle although i do wish they were a St. Croix dealer but i am pretty set for rods for a while..... My fly fishing stuff i order pretty much everything online except for the things i need right away then i head to Bass Pro.

80K-100K To Be In The Pro's?
At the 2 minute mark i think was the best statement. It is about bumping into the right people and being at the right place at the right time...
