Do You Struggle?
Swim jigs are an entirely differnet animal and i have had some really good success with them this year. I like to think of them as a silent spinnerbait and they come through cover very well. Also depending on teh trailer it is really a skirted swim bait and it gives you the opportunity to let it fall into pockets as you reel through an area.

What Is Your Preferred Gear When Fishing Smallies?
Depending on where you are fishing i am probably 90/10 spinning to baitcast. The rivers i target smallmouth don't need the heavier gear but i do keep one baitcaster for the larger topwaters or crankbaits. Usually though i take my Sage 9' 7wt XP fly rod and call it a day but i do have my eyes on a Sage Bass II series for having an additional pattern rigged and ready to go

Parenting Help/insight
Yeah i will say he is overstimulated in his bedroom. For my 3 year old, who has been sleeping in his room since he was about 4 months old, we kept his room for two things pretty much. Getting ready for the day and sleeping. We didn't want to get him to play in there as this spot was for sleeping. He has the living room and subsequently a play room as well now for his toys. When we transitioned him to his "big boy" bed the first night he wanted to get up but after that he is fine. I will also echo the light thing. My son has one of the dreamlights with the Eagles logo and when he is a little ancy i have him turn it on and ask him to count the stars to me that are shining on the ceiling or walls or whatever. That usually distracts him enough to get tired and relax. Bed time is all about patterns, routines and expectations. Kids will adjust....eventually-no matter how hard it seems.

Kayak Fishing
An anchor trolley, stake out pole and some sort of standard anchor (i use a 5lb dumbell on a dog leash) are staples in my fishing. In the rivers i do switch over to a drag chain if conditions warrant but usually i just use the stake out pole to stop the boat and i get out and fish an area. I will also agree that an aluminum canoe is probably the worst thing for the wind out there with my Coosa being a close second

Do You Struggle?
I am learning to fish jigs and have a few plano boxes full of them just ot give me extra motivation While i have been no means super succesfull the few fish i catch seem to be larger than other techniques. So to me, it is a big fish bait that may be slow action wise but a few decent fish can make the wait a little longer. I still have a lot to learn and every trip out i have a jig tied on and try it in al lthe usual spots. One thig that has helped me a lot is going out and working on what everything feels like. I take one of the seibert brush head jigs and toss it in the laydowns and stick ups and go super slow trying to feel every limb and when it gets hung a little, how to get it back out again. While i have caught a few fish doing this, what it has done is helped me to stay in contact with the jig and tell the difference between somethign that is stationary and a fish. I do the same thing in the grass and in ledges. It still amazes me how much of the bottom contour you can figure out just by dragging a jig super slow through an area. One place i do pretty well with jigs is the smaller versions for smallies. Seems like no matter the time of year they flat out produce.

Elevated Seat In A Kayak
As always Chuck is right on the money. Wind is a big factor with an elevated position as has already been mentioned. Stability is also a concern but from what i know of the ride 115 it is super stable and has no issues with it being too top heavy but it does depend on your comfort level. I have a jackson coosa for the rivers and i have never even put the seat in the lower position. The high position has to be a good 8-9" off the deck of the boat and after i became accustomed to the secondary stability, i have had no issues.

What Rod/reel Would You Buy If Money Was Not An Issue?
Tough one there....for me it would probably be one of the new Sage method elite rods in 9' 8wt matched to a custom Abel fly reel. Of course i would have to cast the rod first but from what i have read they seem to be a pretty nice set up.

Eagles Accuse Patriots Video Taped Practice Prior To Preseason Tilt
If the eagles have a shot to win games this year it will be because they score a ton of points and make the occasional stop. This type of team is so different than what I grew up watching where defense dominated but they couldn't score.

Powerpro Super 8 Slick Hi Vis Yellow Line
I have used the hi vis yellow for a few years with no leader and have not noticed any issues with catching fish even on super clear rivers and streams. If you are concerned just go with a leader like has been mentioned. For me, i don't see the need to add another potential fail point into a system hence the reason i don't use leaders 99% of the time.

Eagles Accuse Patriots Video Taped Practice Prior To Preseason Tilt
Yeah they did. Kelly has already come out and said they are not going to run 90% of their real offense this pre season so the first game of the year is going to be a big surprise to everyone i believe.

The Big Green Egg
It is on my short list as well but they are pricey. I have a friend with one and that thing is incredible and probably the most versatile grill out there. You can get it super hot and sear steaks or go low and slow for shoulders and brisket. The other thing i like, since i have an overactive 3 year old is that it never really gets to hot on the outside so chances of him burning himself is pretty low. For now i have a weber kettle and it does a good job of smoking meats and grilling and for the price, there probably isn't anything better out there. I have also found that while the wait time to get started is a little slower it really isn't that much. If i am grilling some burger, steaks chicken or whatever i just go outside, get the chimney starter going then go back and get all the meats ready. By the time i am done that the grill is ready to go so really no more time in my mind just an additional step to do while you are preparing everything else.

Bulking Up
No excuses not to train if you just use your imagination a little bit. Some of the training Rocky does in Rocky IV is pretty ridiculous. Of course they were all on HGH and Stallone freely admits it and advises that everyone over 40 should be as well.

St. Croix Rage Rods
I picked up 3 of them when they had the whole buy 2 get one free deal going on. I have fished them well over 50 days this season and i have absolutely no complaints. I wasn't sure how i was going to like the neoprene handles but i actually really like them now. The micro guides, haven't noticed a difference one way or another. They are definitely lighter and more sensitive and better balanced than the Mojo series i was replacing. All in all a very good rod and i would not hesitate to buy another one.

Bulking Up
I have to disagree on a lot of what you are saying here.....If you take a multi vitamin 3 times a day there is a good chance you are going to be ticking out the majority of the vitamins. With the exception of protein, your diet should have pretty much all the vitamins and nutrients you need but i know setting up a meal plan that has everything that is needed is not super easy so supplements are ok. Also not stretching before a workout is a bad idea. You should warm up and stretch any muscle groups you will be working out that day prior to and after working out. If you aren't stretching before you increase your possibility of injury not to mention you are limiting the motion and flexibility of the muscle groups which again, can lead to injury. I actually do Yoga once or twice a week and while i originally thought this is the stupidest thing ever, downward dog this, warrior I, II or III that.....i will tell you that it is not easy, you will be sweating buckets by the end and your range of motion and flexibility will increase and your strength will increase a lot more than you think it should.

Eagles Accuse Patriots Video Taped Practice Prior To Preseason Tilt
Honestly i don't even remember seeing him come out there.....I was flipping between the eagles, phillies and the local little league team playing for the honor to head to williamsport so i probably missed it.

Brand Loyalty
When it comes to fly rods i am pretty brand loyal with Sage and i do own a couple St Croix as well. As far as fly reels, i have my likes but no real loyalty and have owned or currently own, Ross, Galvan, Lamson. SA and Sage. For conventional gear i have kind of settled mostly with shimano reels and St Croix and Kistler rods. Mainly because i know what i am getting and the warranty is pretty good. There are certain rods i won't even consider because of previous experiences.

Eagles Accuse Patriots Video Taped Practice Prior To Preseason Tilt
With a new defensive scheme, coaches and personnel i am surprised the score isn't worse. I will say that the first quarter pretty much was score at will for both sides.

Career Change Time....
Well the deed has been done....I start my classes for my masters in teaching for grades 1-8 with certification on Tuesday. I have also decided to keep my current job and work as long as i can and find the 20-25 hours a week to get everything done which unfortunately means fishing time will be extremely limited for about the next year or so but after that and i start teaching.......well i think we all know i will at least have a few weeks free in the summers
