  1. Hello, What is the proper way to trim the motor upon hole shot? I know it should be trimmed one way for the hole shot, then adjusted while cruising. thanks Larry
  2. Hello, What do you think about keeping the rods on the boat deck using the black rubber straps while trailering down the road. I am not sure they will fit in the rod box.
  3. Have you tried Craigslist? I have sold several items. lb
  4. Hello fellow anglers, Any suggestions on how to best clean the livewells? I realize chemicals should be avoided. Is dish soap OK? thanks for your suggestions. Larry
  5. Has anyone used the above? It is a gadget attached to the trolling motor with sharp teeth. While weeds/grass spin around while stuck to the prop, this thing cuts them off. BPS sells them. thanks Larry

  8. Hello, Does anyone have any experience/opinions of the above DF. We are about to buy our first boat, 1997 Lowe Roughneck 170. We plan on mounting the new deptfinder on the bow. It has one already in the console. We're very excited about our new boat. Buying a new MG wireless trolling motor; 24v 75 lbs of thrust. thanks Larry

  12. Hello, Just got back from a Crappie fishing trip to Ky Lake. We caught 90 Crappie in 2 days (just the fish I kept). The min size is 10". The largest were 17"-18". My question is what do you consider a "big" crappie? thanks Larry
  13. Lets see if this works: Well, I was able to attached a pic of a jon boat. It is very similiar to the one in the pic. thanks Larry
  14. Hello all, My fishing buddy and I have an old jon boat; sort of narrow but works OK. We currently use a transon mount trolling motor; the type that clamps on the transom. Is there a way it can be modified to mount at the bow? It is obviously easier for boat control with a bow mounted trolling motor. thanks for your help Larry
  15. It may be too late for this one, but keep it in mind for the next time. You have to tell her that there was a life threatening event. Boat was leaking, people shooting at you, etc. Get her so wound up and happy that you are OK, she'll forget about being a little late. I have actually used this and it did work. good luck
  16. A guide turned me onto a Carolina Keeper. You avoid using a swivel and 3 knots. It is basically a round piece of hard plastic you thread on your line. When you squeeze it with pliers, it opens enough to slide it up/down your line. You put your weight above the keeper. It allows for real easy changing of leader lengths. If you fish in heavy cover/structure, use 2. Bass pro has them. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=23166&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults this is the link for the product on bass pro's web site. good luck Larry
