St Croix Legend Vs Shimano Cumaro
Hello, Thinking of adding another rod/reel. Here is the scoop: Spinning rod; Medium action used primarily for texas rigged worms. Likely matched with a Shimmano Stradic CI4F or a Daiwa Tierra. Both would be the 2500 series. I have the Tiera and like it, but the Stradic sure seems nice. My main question is in the rods. What do u think? I luv the warranty of the Shimano. Lifetime exchange at retailer. It also seems very sensitive. I have never owned a St croix. I would get the 6'8" Medium Action with Fast action. I appreciate your thoughts. If you have thoughts on the reels, that would be great as well. Thanks Very Much Larry

Fishing The Meramec River In Sullivan
Hello, Going on a float trip next week on the Meramec river next week. I have never fished it before. Any suggestions on what to use? Don't have much experience fishing rivers. Should I look for deep pools? Are plastic worms a good choice? What about rooster tails? Any help is appreciated. thanks Larry

BOAT TAKES ON WATER
Thanks for the responses. Please note that I get water in the bilge even when I don't use the livewell. Often, I'll plug the drain hole up and not use the livewell. I still get water in the bilge. Thanks again Larry

BOAT TAKES ON WATER
Hello, I have a 97 Lowe Roughneck Alum bass boat. Boat is in good condition. However, it is taking on more water than I think it should. I run the bilge pump every hour and it pumps out water every time. What are the likely causes? I try to put the plug in as tight as possible. I don't know if that is the cause or if there is a crack in the hull. There are no obvious holes but the water is coming in somewhere. I just don't know where to look. thanks Larry

BOAT TRAILER WINCH
Hello, Time to replace my trailer winch. I have a 17" alum bass boat with a 50 HP motor. I am guessing a 1500 lb to 1800lb winch will suffice. I read some negative reviews on Bass Pro's web site on their winches. Is there a difference in quality in one brand and another? Any info on Fulton winches? thanks very much Larry

We have a 3 bank on board charger for our 2 tm batteries and 1 starting battery. My friend used the onboard charger overnight and the starting battery still was not fully charged. He then added a portable charger to the battery and now has both chargers charging the battery. Is this OK? Any chance of damage from this? thanks Larry
