  5. I fish spinnerbaits quite a bit, even when it's not windy but the wind is definitely a plus. And it seems like whatever the weather says the wind is gonna be, its always twice as much when I get to the lake.
  6. Depends. Usually when I fish I get off work around 1am, stay up, and then fish from around 430-9am. By the time I get home, get showered, and get to bed it's like 10 so on days that I fish, I'm usually only getting about 5 hours of sleep before I have to go to work the next day. Since I know I'm gonna be really tired for work that night, I'd like to catch at least one fish (preferably more than one) to justify it. If I don't it can be sort of irritating. I've been fortunate so far this season though and haven't gotten skunked much. I know it's all part of the game though and it happens sometimes. I try to take it all in stride and just enjoy my fishing time. If I have the day off or work, it doesn't bother me at all.
  7. Congrats on the new PB! Next time try to get a pic for us.
  8. I mostly have KVD 1.5's but I also fish Bandit 200's and I have a Rapala or 2. I'm always experimenting with new colors. If I end up losing one, I'll often get a completely different color when I replace it. Although I have done really well with Sexy Shad 1.5's and Bandits in the Mistake color.

  10. The one I had wasn't huge but it was a decent size. It wasn't bleeding or anything. I think I just had it out of the water too long trying to get the hook out. Should have known better. I think I'm kind of unclear as to where to go in through the gills. I was going through the largest opening but I was trying to be as careful as I could so as not to injure the gills.

  12. That's probably it right there. Even though they're small, they have all been really robust good looking fish and they're all nice and heavy so you can tell they've been eating good.
  13. For the past couple weeks I've been fishing a private pond that is rarely fished. There's lots of smaller bass in the 12-14 inch range but it seems like these fish are putting un quite an extraordinary fight considering their size. I've caught lots of similar fish at the other lakes that I fish (these lakes see a lot more fishing pressure) and the ones from the private pond are much more feisty. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and why this might be.
  14. I think I've seen a couple here and there too and I'm sure there are some that slip through the cracks but religion/politics are both off limits here. Here's a link regarding political/religious posts. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/53719-politicalreglious-posts/ Granted its referring to 'posts' and not 'signatures' but I would imagine the same rules would apply.
  15. That's crazy! I'm lucky if I can get 2 out of them. Sometimes I end up tearing them up just casting and retrieving without even catching a fish.
  16. I don't have a problem with it but they're pretty firm about the no politics thing here. Not that you actually said anything political but the mods may (or may not) take issue with the 'Member of the Democratic Party' line. But like I said, it doesn't bother me. I'd wait til you hear from a mod before you change it.
