Thanks some spots there seem very largemouth-ish

I'm assuming you have to get to this place by boat right? If so I can't get to it but i appreciate the great spot!.. And is it possible to catch African Pompano from the sea wall and dock at my grandfather's place? I have caught lookdown, if that has anything at allto do with pompano..

Is it possible for snapper to become large in the intercoastal waterways? I have caught small ones on shrimp but I am curious if there are larger ones that dwell there.

I know of some good spots near greenfeld but they are probably to far away though. One spot that is good to drop a canoe or kayak in for a few hours is lincoln pond, right along 101 in amherst, my dads friend has caught several 3.5+lbs fis in there and he has claimed to have fish next to his conoe close to 5.5lbs. Lots of great underwater cover for big bass to hide in, I have been once this year and plan on going again, probably couldn't work a crankbait in there, i would suggest rubber worms and try to work them in deep gaps of cover, i think it will produce more bass in the spring but i think you should definatley give it a try if you are in that area. (you park right along the road then a path leads yu right to the water, can't miss it...)

Chipped guide or knots are the probably the problem, chipped guide has been a problem for me aswell.

How are the largemouth in Bow..? I know Bow is known for the smallmouth but just curious..

I prefer fishing the waterway anyways... i would like to try the beach some day, i love to surf cast up here for stripers and bluefish. How was terror eyes jiggin'

Get a pier net definatley he SirSnook recommended one for me for fishing in florida intercoastal waterways....it will be good investment

Funny you say that, went to bow lke about 2 weeks a go and came up with 1 small smallmouth, but i did find a dead smallmouth floating on the surface and decided to weight it....3 pounds 7oz! not bad for a smallie!

Yes they are lighted, and i have seen some HUUUUUGE snook swim under the dock but haven't landed a big one yet. Speaking of big fish, under the same dock, i saw what looked to be an 8 to 10ft shark swim right under me...biggest fish iver ever seen in my life! Do you usually target snook and jacks or do you go for and assortment of snapper, trout, redfish, etc...

Another pond close to there is honey pot... which ive heard from a couple of friends holds some decent 4 pounders... heard of a 5.5 lbs but not from anyone i'd trust, never know though. I would suggest using slug-o's or any of your favorite rubber worms along the edges of the pads later in the day. Personally I have been there once for about a half hour before it started to storm and managed to catch a 2lbs LM.

I've never fished from the beach in Florida, do you think i would have a better chance doing that or fishing from my granfathers sea wall and dock right a long the river flowing into the intercoastal waterway along with a few canals? Or perhaps there are better areas you would suggest. (By the way his place is in North Palm Beach right across from singer island)

By the way do you know about fishing during certain tides in the ICW i usually fish a spot where a small river flows into the waterway...see lots of big jacks, ladyfish, and i have seen a few tarpon that swim in and out of it including lots of snook at times...

I used a terror eyes last year and caught 3 barracuda... and i looked up what a pinfish looked like and i have caught them on a sabiki jig, i will use those this february... Good luck and let me know how you do.

Yeah, happened to me today but in the opposite way...i was "absent minded" not expecting to catch a fish in a certain spot. Then i thought that "hey usually when i think this i get a fish"...i didnt end up getting a fish during that moment haha but i definatley know what your saying.

You'll generally have to go deep for bass during the summer during the day, not fall...water temp usually isn't an issue until it gets really late in the year.

I have caught redfish,barracuda, and jacks on them.....never used any bass baits from them..?

I like when I try to cast somewhere and it is waaaaaaaay off, and then you get a fish on a retrival that is 5 times as fast as what you would usually do.

I have caught Jacks and Redfish on shrimp but never a snook...What is a croaker and how would i catch them?...(assuming that they are not supplied at local bait stores)

Up north i use light tackle for Striper fishing the 2 biggest this were 11pounder and a 27pounder my PB... also enjoy to fish inshore in florida...(great jack by the way!)

North Palm Beach, the view across the waterway is singer island...my favorite bait shop around there sells live mullet at times would you suggest using that?

Yes,ive decided i am going to get one of the two suggestions, just last year my friend tried to heave up an 8 lbs red drum and the line snapped....and you definatley know what your talking about considering i hooked the 2 snook last year on a bucktail jig....what else could i catch whille intercoastal fishing besides snook, drum, jacks ,rays, lady fish, sheepshead, and tarpon if im lucky.
