  1. What is a good line to use for top water in a heavily weeded pond with some huge bass?
  2. The cabelas pro guide rods are pretty sensitive, I've had mine for years
  3. Haha I found the jersey I want now, thank you for the suggestion
  4. Thanks
  5. Just picked up a champ 766 flip a week ago and used it once and absolutely love it for punching and pitching, tons of backbone with great sensitivity
  6. I have many finesse set ups and by far the best IMO is my dobyns champion 702 with 10 lb flouro and a quantum energy reel,
  7. In my experience I've had large spotted bass slam the ds bait, other times its just weight, it's a 50% chance IMO that you will feel the bite
  8. I felt a recon gen2 at the ISE in sacremento and loved it. The downside was I couldn't buy it since I got a dobyns champion there only a few minutes before seeing the recon, but I will never regret buying a dobyns rod since they're the best In my opinion
  9. And I'm obviously not going to say I'm sponsored, that is just dumb to say that you are if you aren't
  10. Pretty much going to put the club name, my last name, local made lure companies that I love to use and maybe a few companies that have products that I'm proud to own such as my dobyns rods and lews reels
  11. What brand rod,dobyns?
  12. I would be having the highschool fishing team logo and our sponsors and maybe a few other logos
  13. Also how effective is punching the ca delta in January, and what are ways to fish it in this time of year
  14. Okay so I'm considering about making a custom jersey and I'd like people's opinions on it, I'm not sponsored but would it be okay to use logos from companies on it and stuff like that?
  15. Yes and no, they are finicky but I can still catch them as well as I did in Missouri , I just fish way different here in Cali then the Midwest
  16. Go with A dobyns, I have two champions and love them with another champ flipping rod on its way , and I have a crucial and they don't have as much sensitivity and weigh more IMO, can't speak for Powell rods
  17. I have an Allstar gt40x I use to punch, and 2 dobyns champion spinning rods both 702s, a shimano crucial dropshot, cabelas pro guide, st croix avid, and about 15 others, so I'm looking for a flipping specific one, also does anyone know how the kistler klx compares to the zbone, I may go with a zbone along with a dobyns if its a good rod. I'm probably looking at the. 765flip
  18. I'm debating on getting a dobyns champion flipping rod or a kistler klx. I know dobyns are very good rods because I have one but the kistler sounds pretty good. The rods are going to be used to flip and pitch the California delta, I'd like to hear some reviews on each.
  19. I'm leaning toward a dobyns since I love mine and I'm not going to punch as often as I will pitch and flip
  20. I need an opinion between a st croix legend tournament bass in 7'6 MH or a dobyns champion in 7'6 MH, I'm going to use this rod to flip, pitch and punch the CA delta. What's better, I already have a champion and love it but I may try a st croix.
  21. im thinking about a new rod for smallmouth, what would you reccommend? im thinking about a dobyns savvy spinning in med light and 6'9 long and have 8lb fluorocarbon on my reel. how does this sound and any reccomendations? need answers fast, going to buy that setup tuesday, if not told otherwise haha
  22. my personal preferance is a 6'9 dobyns savvy rod in ML with a quantum kinetic reel and 8 lb test for smallmouth and spotted bass
  23. the fluke is the best way to go. that happens my local lake all the time with the shad and the bass and occasionally striper nail them. try pearl or i think its called smokin shad as colors
