Seaguar Braid
After hearing from fellas much more knowlegeable than myself, I'm going to give Kazen a try. Thanks, Mark and Carson. I got to thinking about what J Franco said about negative posts. There's nothing to stop someone from bashing a product if they've an axe to grind. My wife told me that she has heard of this type behavior on the internet. Thanks to all for your input.

Bank Fishing In The Dark?
Trapper, check out the Manns Seizmic Toad in white or southern toad color . Great nightime topwater bait........those two colors are the ones that float.

Rod Setup, Tackle Switching Question...
The part of your post that caught my eye was using a snap swivel for topwater baits. I'd suggest doing away with it since it will have a tendency to drag the lure down. I generally tie a loop knot to allow as much movement as possible. Good luck.

Seaguar Braid
I checked TW and the reviews wern't very good. The majority of replies were awfuly critical. Maybe I'll just stick with 832.

Starter Jig Selection ?
I was blown away by A-Jays offer. What a guy. I want to publicly thank him for his generosity. There are some awfully good folks here. Hopefully I can pay this gesture forward to someone. Thanks again A-Jay. I very much appreciate the offer.............."Stitch"

Starter Jig Selection ?
My resolution for 2013 is to catch fish on a jigs. They're definitely not a confidence bait for me. That being said; I'd like suggestions on a starter set. I'm prepared to set aside a 3700 box for jigs and trailers. I need some guidence on types, weights, sizes, colors, situations they're used in....etc. I thought Seibert may have such a beginners offering but apparently not. That might be something they'd consider putting together. From the comments I've read here, they appear to have a good following. Thanks in advance.

Best Fishing Prank
We were trolling off Hatteras, tuna fishing. The mate yelled , FISH ON ......and handed the rod to a first timer. Buckled him in the chair. Kept yelling encouragement in his ear. After about 5 minutes the fisherman landed a really nice 5 gallon bucket . ...He was ticked .....lol

Tying Hair Jigs
When tying hair jigs, does anyone prefer squirrel tail over bucktail? I would think the squirrel would have much better movement in cold waters than bucktails. Another hair I've seen tied is calf tail. I'm just looking for some opinions. Thanks , folks.

Fallen Off The Radar
I'll second the original slug-go. Another one that was very productive for me, and definitely no longer made is Galidas Grubs. The smoke color was a killer on smallies in the St Lawrence and Black Rivers.

Wife Just Shakes Her Head..............
For some unknown reason my wife decided to count my rods yesterday. She came up with 34. Good thing she didn't ask how many are in the boat or open up a travel tube..........And here I am perusing new rods on the internet..........

Rage Tail Baby Craw
Okay , folks ...I'm having a difficult time finding the Rage Tail baby craws. Who sells 'em ? Bass Pro, Cabelas, TW,GM,Dicks......all these don't let me pull up this size. I went to Strike Kings website, they're on there but no place to order. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Spinning Vs. Baitcaster
I prefer to use a baitcaster whenever possible. It's just my personal preference. I like the convience of being able to conviently keep a finger in contact with the line. Grown over places I fish from shore, don't always allow enough room for a proper backcast.A spinning rod is much easier to use in such situations. Just another thought when considering which to use.

Owner Twist Lock Hooks?
I've not used the Owner hooks but have used Trokars. I like the spring screw holders. I had the same problem as you. These seemed to have solved most of those issues. Owner makes a centering pin spring. I tried those but found out that they're only applicalble on flat eye hooks. I will occasionally add a drop of super glue to the holder as well to keep the heads from tearing.................good luck

Shakey Head Jigs
I'd appreciate some input about MegaStrike's pro shakey head jigs. Has anyone tried them? A buck and a half seems steep to me. Are they worth it?

Major League Fishing 2013
When Ike first became prominent on the fishing scene, I couldn't stand him. All his screaming and antics were absolutely abrasive. I attended a "Bassmaster University" weekend. As luck would have it, Mike was one of the featured anglers. I almost skipped his part of the presentations. He came out and the very first thing he did was ask all the kids to come right up front and sit so that they could see it all. He got down on one knee and chatted with them. Within that first session, he changed my opinion of him 180 degrees. Yes, he's still loud and can be irritating but I truly believe it's all driven by his passion and drive. I was glad to see that he's advanced to the next round.

Bank Fisherman's Backpack
I was leafing through my new 2013 master, BPS catalog and ran across a new item. It appears to be a good idea for those of us who do a considerable amount of bank fishing. It's a fishing backpack designed with us in mind. A certain Texas based company is also making a fishing fanny pack with padded sholder straps. These might be worth ckecking into. I just thought someone besides myself may find these of interest.

What's With All The Rage About Rage Tail?
I've never used these. There are places I fish in the dead of summer that are almost completely covered over with grass and moss mats. I use a technique I'd call..."topwater finesse". This involves using a true floating plastic and letting it rest for up to a minute between ever so slight, teasing twitches. My question is: do any of these RageTail baits actually float. If so, I'd like to give them a try...............thanks, for an answer.
