  1. I'm a retired , broken down old construction worker. I spent some time traveling and installing electrical systems and equipment on the tall stacks you see across the country. If it has anything to do with electrical construction, from homes to nuclear reactors, I've probably done some of it.
  2. Yesterday,I had the opportunity to drive south into Virginia. I didn't see any solid water there..........LOL
  3. Thanks for all your input, folks. I'm anxious to try this stuff. For the price I paid for that 4 oz. bottle, I surely hope it's a lot better than plain old food grade silicone spray. I can buy that stuff for around $4 a 12 0z can. That's what I've been using for years.
  4. Is there any advantage to using this conditioner on braid ? It's not even mentioned on the spray bottle................thanks .
  5. Does anyone have any personal experience on Yatesville for bass this time of year? Thanks in advance.
  6. I've never used a rod with micro guides. Is this just a gimmic or is there a definite advantage to them ?
  7. I broke the tip on one of my Compre rods. Does anyone know if Shimano honors somekind of warantee on them? Thanks.
  8. Just a ""heads-up, folks. Our local Dick's has slashbaits for $7.99 At least a buck cheaper than elsewhere.
  9. "Frugal".....yea that's what I am ......lol.....sounds a lot better'n CHEAP............... ..............I've been using the backing trick for years.........As for size, I found an old one pound spool of 25lb. fenwick Lunkerline. It's worked out fine for me.
  10. Next time you crawl down in the manhole and do the soaping..............
  11. Next time you offer to soap it.............
  12. Copper or aluminum ? Three times in 45 years I had the pleasure to install million cable. I feel your pain........lol
  13. Topwater baits are my hands down favorite. It's just fun watching the strike! For ease of use and productivity I'd suggest a "Zell Pop" in bone color.
  14. You stated that you have an airbrush. Have you considered an air eraser, they're like a mini sandblaster. That may be an option .
  15. Thanks, guys....................maybe I'll just pass on this idea.................You've confirmed my suspiscions. Thanks for saving me from myself. That's another great thing about this site, you get honest poinions.
  16. I have questions about starting to pour plastic baits. Is this really worthwhile ? I see that there are kits for sale that provide all you need to get started. Is this one of those things that tends to blossom out of control once you start ? I tend to go overboard once I get into a new hobby. Thanks for your opinions and thoughts.
  17. I'd also like to add another pro to spend a day with. For a purely enjoyable time I'd choose Bobby Murray.
  18. Congradulations, great fish, Casey. Keep at it and you'll soon be measuring a bigger one!
  19. The two confidence lures I see in your gear are the Pop-Rs and the lizards. Hang in there they'll all catch bass. Just keep plugging away. .................Much Good Fortune to you.
  20. I'll agree with the Cabela's Guidewear. There's nothing better than being dry and comfortable when the weather turns sour. I put off spending the money for years, then finally just did it! I've never second-guessed the decision.
  21. I use the 1 oz. in talapia color in Mexico. I like them.
  22. Mine is a Ranger brand with a 6 ft extending handle with a rubber net. It's easy on the fish.
  23. Consider it done. May God be with all of you.
  24. Catching bass on jigs and building confidence in that tactic.
