"super Tuned" Reels
Have any of you folks had experience with having reels tuned ? Is it worth the expense ? Is the operation of the reel that much better ? I have several older Shimanos that I may consider having tuned. I've seen some costs as much as $80 including a gear ratio change. I'd appreciate some advice on the whole process. If you have a place to reccomend for such a service , I'd appreciate that as well. Thanks .................Stitch

Too Cold, Please Say No!
Dang fishing in the winter is exhausting. Cut a hole ....drag the boat, cut another hole, ....drag the boat.

My Head Is About To Explode
Another simple bait you may try is a weightless sluggo. They are in my humble opinion , the easiest of the soft jerkbaits to rig straight on an offset hook. For some reason they have seemed to fall from favor over the years. When I first started using plastics, these were what gave me much confidence. Good luck to you and Happy Thanksgiving.

Scales, Electronic Or Manual?
I have two older Berkley digital scales. The worst one is almost 5 oz. light when compared to the test weight. I'd be interested in one that's accurate as well.

Learning How To Cast With The Opposite Arm
I guess I'm a "work in progress". Born right handed forced to learn fishing left handed. Two incidents seperated by only several months debilitated the use of my right hand and sholder. I had to learn quickly how to cast. It was frustrating at first but with no option what was I to do? The fact that I had already paid for a week of fishing at El Salto proved to be a great incentive. It's been 15 months and I still struggle. Keep at it ,scaleface it will eventually come around.

Tampa/st. Pete..........bass Fishin' ?
Thank you, FishingDaddy. That's exactly what I was afraid I might hear. I'm not hauling my boat down just some gear. I thought there might be some small lakes in the area fishable from shore. I very much appreciate your reply.

Orange Park Country Club
Being newly retired, I'm afraid cabin fever is gonna get to me this winter. I'm considering loading up my truck, driving south and being a fishin' bum from time to time. I might be interested in sampling some Florida fishing.

I agree with the braid but I prefer a flouro leader. Just my personal preference.

Post Turnover In Weedy Gravel Pits
Yampa River brings back sweet memories. Never fished down around Grand Junction. Caught plenty of trout flyfishing, up in Steamboat. Thanks for bringing back those memories for me.

El Salto, Fishing In Mexico
I certainly wish you a great trip. Who are you going with? We go to "Angler's Inn". If you don't mind a small tip, I wouldn't take any line lighter than 20 lb. Those mesquite trees can be awfully abrasive. Made those misjudgments on the first trip.
