World's Greatest Fishing Show
That's almost like the Superbowl. Too bad Shaw Grigsby, one of my all time favorites, is teamed with Roland Martin. I can't stand that guy.

Swim Baits
I don't use the fancy type swim baits, but have tried the soft replaceable Lake Fork Live Magic Shads, and they are KILLER! They are an exact copy of the Imakatsu Javellon (Spelling?). They smell so strongly of garlic, your fingers will reek of it for hours. If I go out with a two packs of these shads (4 per pack) I will not come home with a single one, they get torn to shreds. You should get 2-3 fish per bait, more if you use some glue...

Let's see your fishing gadget
Cool! That's a great idea! The only thing I've really gerry-rigged was recent. This past summer I was crabbing and my trap line broke and the trap sunk out of site about 10 yards from shore in the muddy oozing jersey marsh... Instead of swimming for it I used another spool of twine and tied a bunch of weights and hooks together and made a grappling hook type thingy. I threw it in a bunch of times like that crabbers on 'The Deadliest Catch' and eventually snagged my trap. It saved me from having to spend 10 bucks for a new trap.

Great lure.........for some.
I have never caught a fish on a jig. I haven't even tried one for years... I have only caught 1 fish on a Chatterbait. I have given them a ton of time and money - no more. I will sell them on Ebay closer to spring. Before last summer I would have but the IKA on this list...I had only caught a few fish on the Fat Ika until I started using it rigged skirt down and walking the dog with it just under the surface. I can't catch a fish on it any other way. Believe it or not, I have not caught a fish on the Helicoptor lure.

Cordell Jointed Spot
I had some jointed baits just like that one, don't remember what they were. I don't know if I lost them in the water or they are in a forgotten box somewhere... They were good, but I don't remember them being better or worse than the regular Spot.

Cool. I haven't tried other norman baits based on my experience with the Thin N, but on your recommendation I might give some DD22's a try since I need some really deep baits for a lake near my house. If I get a bad one though, I'll send you a bill...

Is this an old Bagley...?
Maybe. But he took me for some sort of idiot telling me to compare it to the other B1s... Either way, it doesn't matter now, he took the auction down.

No, red hooks can induce a reaction. The shallower the better. Over 6 feet in stained water, or 10 feet in clear water though, and they just look kinda gray to the fish. What the other post was talking about was the red line which is translucent. The red line lets light through, and supposedly disappears at depths between 6-12 feet because the red light is filtered out... I say supposedly because something will still show up. Clear/translucent line still shows up at 12 feet, but is pretty difficult to see. At 12 feet the red line will show up just like clear line would at 12 feet. Very difficult to see for our eyes, but still visible to a bass's eyes, which are superior to our own.

Kinami Hardbaits
Last spring Walmart had a promo rack with lures from several different companies each for a buck. I loaded up on bandits and the Kinami Popper. Only got the white color because there was no selection, but I love it. It is a great bait, I don't own any high end poppers, but I would bet this one is right up there with them. I can walk it on very light line, and it spits and chugs just fine.

Is this an old Bagley...?
I was pretty sure it was a bandit footloose, but the guy is adamant.

I would like to add Norman Lures to that list - I have not gotten one that runs true from the box yet, and many are completely un-tunable... Also Yo-Zuri Hybrid line. I keep trying it because everyone swears by it, but it kinks and snaps on me every single time I use it.

I stay away from Mann's, Storm, Gulp!, Matzuo Cranks (spinnerbaits are first rate), Yum/Riverside, Renegade, Lucky Strike, Berkley Frenzy, and anything Roland Martin endorses.

Just ordered new stuff...opinions on this stuff?
You can't go wrong with Gamber, Yamamoto, or Roboworm. I have some sabertails from last year, and didn't catch a thing on them. I am going to give them a good shot this year because they just look like they should work. Good haul.

Is this an old Bagley...?
Yeah, bagley has 2 firetiger patterns, one normal and one matte finish, but that isn't it. But maybe back in the day they used a pattern like that, they used to have all sorts of patterns available and maybe that was one of them...

The Best Frog?
You left the two best frogs off the list! #1 Gamber Cane Toad #2 Sizmic Toad #3 Horny Toad Best of everything else is the Scum Frog.

Is this an old Bagley...?
...Or a Bandit Footloose? Just wondering. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180209447033&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 The fellow swears it's a bagley, got a little sore when I asked, but it sure looks like a bandit to me... Maybe it's just the camera angle that's throwing me off...

Net Bait finesse worms
The Netbait worms are not bad. I have some in the bullfrog color. They work as good as the Zoom version and come in some neat colors.

BPS 5 for 5 free shipping
The Lews rattler is a good bait, and you'll also probably get a BPS Deep Crank (which caught me 3 bass in one trip before I broke it off), a Square Lip BPS Crank, and a spinnerbait and jig of OK quality. The three cranks are worth it to me. I think BPS cranks are very under rated.

Weedless Wacky Rig Hooks
I found some Eagle Claw weedless 5 pack hooks at KMart in the bargain box for 20 cents each that look just like those ichiban ones in the first post. I bought them all, and they've served me well. I also have some just like it by Mustad, and they're good too.

BPS 5 for 5 free shipping
I ordered this same sale last year, and got some decent lures. That little Lews Rattle Trap is on a $3 bait, but it is a great lure.

BPS tornado spinnerbait
I have one, I don't care for it. I got a blue/black one, but changed to the skirt to Green/White... My favorite color for spinnerbaits is Green and White and I usually throw either tandem willow leaf, or tandem colorado blades. The tornado doesn't come close to matching the production of a normal spinnerbait. I tried to give the tornado a fair amount of time versus my regular spinners, but I grow bored quickly and switched up.

Flat Sided Cultiva Crankbait.
I use the 115, I can never find the 95s on Ebay, or if I do, it's too late. It is a big heavy lure and casts a mile.
-
Flat Sided Cultiva Crankbait.
I don't have pics like T-Rig, but I love the Tango Dancer by Cultiva, it is a topwater like the Sammy, but IMO, Better than the Sammy. Easier to walk, better hooks (there's nothing better than owner hooks...), cooler colors/finish, and a better crafted bait. When the topwater bite is on, I throw the TD before anything else.

Please help!!! Looking for Timber Spin by Strike King
The Strike King Timber spin and the Timber buzz were both inline baits. I can't find any tackle places online that sell the Strike King Timber Spin or Buzz. I have had some great success on inline buzz baits, but they are difficult to find. I use the Uncle Bucks inline buzz made with bucktail hair. In many situations, especially up north, this is a great bait... If the Timber Buzz was like the Uncle Bucks, an inline with bucktail, I found mine with the muskie baits (can't remember the store), you may want to try there and you might find something similar...

Flat Sided Cultiva Crankbait.
Imakatsu makes a Cranking Shad that looks pretty similar to that. Check Ebay out and have a look... $18 apiece though...
