  1. Ordering a few spools tonight/tomorrow. Just to clearify with you guys so I don't screw up lol 6# invisx for spinning 10# abrasx for baitcasting Also if I can find absrasx in 20 and 50# gonna order some to try out in salt.
  2. Haha he actually said his limit was $100 but got the Cumara on sale. I saw it on TW for $129 it was like half off but still, great gift.
  3. Awesome gramps, its a good rod, congrats.
  4. @iabass well u know what I meant lol Shimano Daiwa and G Loomis are household names as well as high demand.Dobyns and the like majority of people don't know such brands exist.
  5. The hook up tackle * has 20% off as well all month
  6. @ Tugs I mentioned Premier made in USA
  7. Hey iabass8 lmao @TW the coupon states EXCLUDES: everything worth buying lmaooooo smfh every brand listed is basically all that matters for most people.
  8. Gramps any chance you live in CT? I own a premier 6' M/F I'd be happy to let you use for a day.
  9. Premier trumps the triumph no pun intended. As far as Veritas vs Premier I'd say St Croix USA.
  10. What knots you guys run with InvisX and the AbrasX? For salt leaders I always snell to hook and surgeon knot for loop. In fresh water polymer is pretty much only knot I tie and 1 more but I don't know name of it.
  11. Thinking about trying it for my first FC mainline application. I use Seaguar 25-50# FC for Salt leaders so I already have trust in the brand. Thanks for feedback guys. Tatsu looks awesome except the price lol
  12. How you guys like it? Spinning or Baitcast reels as use for main line.
  13. I'm dedicated to 6# Spider Wire mono but def thanks for lure weight recommendation. I think my worms with added worm weight come in just shy of 1/4.
  14. Thanks kicker. Can't wait to get some time on the water.
  15. I've loved XT for salt, but what you just said is exactly how I felt about "Tough Red" 17#. Something they did to make the color f'd the line up.
  16. Try oiling the wheel the line passes through/against on the bail. If that thing is sticking and the line isn't rolling right that could cause the problem.
  17. Awesome to hear! I may use this for throwing worms. Read this rod by model # is for drop shotting. See the curve in the rod is to the left a little bit not away from the guides as how it should be, made in china what can I say. Other than that the craftsman ship is nice all around and feels light as a feather
  18. 6# Spider Wire EZ or Ultimate Mono
  19. My brother just surprised me with one for my bday, few weeks late but hey, I can't complain. Any of you guys use these before? Think i'm gonna throw the CI4 2500 on here. Super light weight.
  20. For the wealthy weekend warrior status quo? Lol
  21. Sonora is good, I have a 2500 in my collection. Just make sure u keep it oiled. Good luck!
  22. St. Croix Premier 6' M/F I own. Love it! $100 +/- retail
  23. I try to give stuff I don't use away. Only prob is I only have so many friends and family members that fish a lot. Another prob is giving it away to people that will actually appreciate and make good use of said equipment. As far as whens enough, enough. I'm always for upgrading! Lol
  24. I really don't understand why people shy from the polymer knot on Fluoro. I've been making my own leaders with fluoro for salt water since I could remember. I do a over hand loop on one end for the snap swivel and polymer to the hook. Only time I've lost fish with my leaders is when blues hit and they bite through. This is also with 20-50# fluoro. All the different knots I've come across other then snell come undone at some point from my exp.
