  1. I haven't heard a single bad thing about the Veritas. The Winch version seems it would be perfect for what your looking for. I almost got one myself but ended up splurging and got a Dobyns. Keep us updated!
  2. @ The next kvd Lol that made me think of back in the day putting a nickle on the needle of a record player to keep it from skipping... Dam I just dated myself smh lmao
  3. I am not knocking other brands just going to speak on my personal exp./preference/usage. Shimano Sienna $30 range (own 4000 series for light salt water, porgys, weakfish etc.) Shimano Sonora $50 range (own 2500 series, my go to trout reel) Shimano Symetre $100 range (own 2500 series, great for bass, walleye, perch, etc) Shimano Stradic $200 range (own CI4 2500 my go to fave largemouth bass spinning reel, flawless) I own all the above listed, they all serve different purposes and haven't had any issues with any of them.
  4. Yea, well I can return it and put $ towards something else. Don't know what to go for.
  5. That's the thing 1 have it already so say she surprised me with a stradic fj I would be pulling the battle off and stuffin it in closet. Rod is Crowder E Series Lite 8' MH/Mod. I average maybe say 13-15# fish on this set up. -- all the local forums guys live by $15 reels and Ugly Stiks.
  6. 15+ not 15o - stupid phone
  7. Sat 3 LMB + 1 sunny I snagged somehow. Sun Nothing Mon Nothing 15o hours on water 3 fish. I tried soooo many different colors techniques nothing. I think Sandy either really messed up my local lakes or someone kidnapped all the fish lol. Serious tho. Sat had luck on Chartruese Rooster Tail. Today had a few Bass follow in a purple spinner bait. Idk what's going on I usually have great success every year around this time at my local spaots. Colors tried with various baits. - white/blue - white - white/yellow - red - black - green pumpkin - maroon - lime green/black - crawfish pattern - silver - yellow perch pattern - black/burgandy
  8. As a few of you know today was my Bday. My fiance bought me another reel she got me another Penn Battle 5000. I remember looking at them in the store while she was with me before I purchased mine earlier in the year. My theory was its a salt reel, its gonna get the crapola beaten out of it on a daily basis and it seemed best bang for the buck at the time. However it is heavy as hell and I would like to get something lighter. I have several Baitrunners we chunk with. I like to have non-chunk reels for throwing swimmers and plugs to kill time while chunkin. I was thinking a Stradic FJ but don't want to spend $200 on something I will literally drop to the ground to grab my BR when the drag starts buzzin. Any of u guys who SW 5000-6000 size please chime in. Sidenote I just realized with this one its made in China and when I bought the other one I couldve sworn it was made in PA, USA. Does anyone know if they were always off shored or just recently? If mine was made in China I'm shocked because its really not that bad of a reel. I've had some great fights with Blues and Stripers on it.
  9. I remember just seeing a St Croix travel rod 3 or 4 piece. Comes in a soft case as well.
  10. 1 pear gold 1 willow leaf silver
  11. Cranks, Spinnerbaits, Top water, Worms etcetc
  12. Forgot to say that would also be perfect for worms and small lures. I would be careful going Mojo series all the ones I've seen have micro guides which is something to think about regarding what kind of line you throw. Everyone loves the Mojos from what I see around the threads but then again they may fit they're needs better than ours.
  13. I have a symetreget that and get a st croix premier 6'6" Medium Fast that is a great setup for $200
  14. What gear ration do you guys prefer for spinner baits?
  15. Gonna put buying a spinning reel on hold till I get some time on the water with this set up.
  16. LMG I passed on the Veritas and ordered a 5'6" Ugly Stik! Lmaoooo No seriously I passed on the Veritas ordered Dobyns Champion Series CS684CB Steve hooked me up with a site that has 20% off
  17. I am now a proud owner of a Chronarch so LMG can't hate me anymore. Haha if anyone has any input on spinning rod for spinnerbaits please throw me ur opinions
  18. I'm in same boat as you. I have had great success with M/F but I would think M/Moderate might be better. I'm all ears to what people have to say.
  19. Goin for chronarch! Hey while I have everyones attention. Lol I switched out my SC Preimier to my Symetre (for worms and top water) and wanna put a new rod on my Stradic. Can't afford to blow $300+ on a Loomis right now. Originally was going to find use for my Crowder but not for this app. Debating between Wild Black Carrot and a Crucial maybe another SC. This set up I want as my Spinner Bait specific combo.
  20. And LMG yes this reel/rod... This setup is gonna be my crank specific combo. As long as I get the hang of BC. Lol
  21. Just emailed him. I thought he sold it I was trying to 'buy it now' when he put it on ebay but the tab wasn't showing up. As soon as he calls texts me to confirm I'm ordering it! UPDATE Cart at $100 My Birthday is Monday so I'm treating myself
  22. Lol I typed w. T. F. And it auto matically put I don't understand lmaoooo
