Revo Gen 3 Vs. Chronarch 200E
I'm not a Shimano fan boy. I own a Penn Battle because my other Penn fell apart after a year. I own a Okuma with a bail that won't close upon reeling anymore. But I own a bunch of Baitrunners and Stradics because they all work great even if a few of em are a decade old lol.

Rod Or Reel, Where Should You Put Your Money?
Hate to just barge into convo... Again... But if you HAVE to spend $800+... On 1 combo... You either A) suck at catching fish, are in the wrong sport or C) have recently hit the lottery. Lmao yup that just about sums it up.

Finesse Spinning Reel...suggestions?
I'd pick up a Sonora for $50 and wait and save up for a Stradic. To me all the inbetween reels are too similiar to justify any price jumps. Sonora is on par with sahara sienna symetre etc

Rod Or Reel, Where Should You Put Your Money?
Sorry steered off topic but my point was whatever works and works good I have a $300 rod $200 reel setup then I have a $200 reel $40 rod set up. Several rods in the $80-150 range and several reels in the $50-400 range. Really depends what your trying to achieve but if you only fished once in a while and just wanted a all around good combo that is reliable then I'd have to say pick a price point and go 50/50.

Rod Or Reel, Where Should You Put Your Money?
One thing a lot of people don't realize is with how fast technology advances, what's "cheap, junk or average" was just top of the line 3-4 years ago. On that note I'll be willing to pay more for Made in USA/Japan, Better warranty, etc. Then buy something equal in quality for $20 less made in a sweatshop with a 30 day warranty, but according to marketing dollars its still good quality.

Crowder Rods!
I own a E Series lite for one of my salt rigs. I absolutely LOVE the rod, the action, the weight, the strength, the sensitivity etc. Anyhow.. Today at baitshop I noticed he had a 5'9" light and 6' medium. You guys MUST check these bad boys out! American made and GREAT quality! I had no clue they made fresh rods. I'm def grabbin one soon as I get some extra cash. That is all lol

Nanofil Fraying Experience
What are you comparing the castability to? Braid, fluoro or mono?

Few Questions About Braid.
For fresh I just started using Berkely vanish 110yard spool was like $4 at Dicks. I use a no name brand my local shop sells for my salt rigs. No probs with vanish so far tho im sure some of these guys may know better. Make sure you spit on your knots before you cinch down!! Youtube is your friend!! Lol

Few Questions About Braid.
@riverrat316 Here's a perfect example of what 6# test mono is capable of and why 65# braid is way too much overkill. Last week LMB hits my sz3 weedless Gamagatsu (spellcheck lol) hook with a rubber worm. Bass went thru some downed branches and got hung up on some line someone cut. I ended up pulling in the fish like a 2 pounder, the branch 30lbs of dead weight and all the crap that was tangled to it from 20+ feet away. Yea it took me 5 extra mins. Fish was released alive thankfully he made it. All it took was patience and skill. So for me to say I would have needed braid or I wouldn't of been able to land the fish due to the situation you would think d**n this guy doesn't know how to fish. The whole digging into itself thing must be a baitcaster thing which I know nothing about. Most of the guys I've ever spoken to around here live by Fluor for BC and Mono for spinning. Salt water is a whole different animal, I wouldn't expect anyone to catch a 400lb Marlin on 6# mono lol.

Few Questions About Braid.
@ZooB I'm not against using braid persay, I just want to give the fish I fighting chance. You don't go deer hunting with a AK-47 you use a single shot rifle or a arrow. Now if your eating every fish you catch then no argument but for sportsmanship ehhh :/ BTW the rod I snag bunker with is a Ugly Stik the guides are as good as new and yes that is the same clinch knot for years that hasn't been retied. I've had some huge blues and stripers nail bunker while I'm snagging too. That knot is awesome for me. I have it tied to a snap swivel and to that a steel leader. From what I recall other braids years ago frayed bad and that's what got me into using spider wire. Their stuff rocks. Let me know how the power pro works out for you. Would love to get a general idea on the abrasion resistence of the current gen of it.

Few Questions About Braid.
@roadwarrior it was def 6# idk my rod just didn't like it. We used it for dropping jigs off the boat as well as trolled (lake trout) and it held up great. Maybe the lures I was trying it with weren't beefy enough. :/

Few Questions About Braid.
Only time I use Braid is to snag bunker I think its spooled with 30#. Clinch knot has been on there for 3+ years no prob, and if you know what snagging bunker intails then you know the line has been beaten to ish. I just don't understand the point of 65# braid against 2-4# fish. I really don't. Smh That Yo-zuri Hybrid stuff could not cast more then 20ft on 3 different poles for me switched back to Spider Mono 6# 50 yards easy

@rockchalk06 Thanks for alll the info. Prob with the BPS is its a 3+hour drive from where I am. 1 is actually opening about a mile from here in the next year or so tho. Anyhow, gotta run to work, gonna go over the rest of your input later on. Thanks!

Baitcaster 101
@gramps Yea they were def casting reels, drivee is longer than I thought so prob next week. @Islandbass LEFTY!!!!! lmaooo I was debating it like crazy but made up my mind. My left hand is useless to do anything other then spin the retrieve. Lol I think I'm gonna go with my gut and grab the Chronarch. Its Shimano, made in Japan not indonesia, I'm saving $100 and resale will be higher if I say to hell with this. I have decided on going with the 5.0:1 and plan on having this exclusively for Crank baits.

Baitcaster 101
Bump post* Ok guys pullin the trigger this weekend. Got a dilemma. Zillion or Curado From what I've been reading they're very comparable and if I can save $100 that would be cool. If searched some posts comparing the 2 but from 2010. So here 2+ years later what are those opinions like after more cast time is under your belts.
