How long do you go fishing?
It is really different now than it was BF(before Florida) Now I have my boat exactly 8 step from my back door so all I do is lower the lift and trolling motor and I am fishing. This time of the year I do not fish on the weekends unless I am on them real good. I often in the winter go out 3 or 4 times a day. I do have 1 saying tho.."Fish at least 5 times a week, and no doctor will you seek" CPR ;D PS Thit is a Phishn Phool original LOL

Knots? What type, action and lure.
I basically use the same as Raul. I do have one other I tie because of my mistake eyesight I have learned to tie in the dark. It will not work on braid or flouro tho. Here is the best site I have run across to learn to tie knots. Someone else had posted it before. http://www.grogono.com/knot/indexfishing.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg CPR ;D

Best Bass Fishing Magazine?
I like a mag that noone has mentioned. I think it is only published in some states. Here it is called "Florida Game and Fish" and I know I subscribed to the same thing back in MO. I liked it because it was always about fish and hunting in your state and quite often about the waters you are fishing. CPR ;D

trolling for bass
I remember when I was younger, I was fishing Lake Norfork, Ar and I would yake a weeks vacqation and go fishing the week after Christmas and that is how we would locate the bass alot. We would troll a 600 series Bomber and troll the bluffs at different depths. Often we would locate fish like this and the switch to a jig and pig. I have caught some nice bass doing this. CPR ;D

Pressure and Rain
All of this is very interesting, informative and great for argument and discussion BUT...........I have found that if you read too much on these subjects you are wasting fishing time. My best advise is, IF there is no lighting.......GO FISHING CPR ;D

Slow or fast presentations
I have said this on here before, but when I'm fishing buzzbaits around dock U will tune 1 to run left and another to run right. Then on thr left side I fish the right runner and try to hit the dock, as soon as I get to the other side of the dock I pick up the other 1 and do the same. It has worked for me quite often. BTW Nick I learned that from an ol'timer at the Lake of the Ozarks about 35 years ago. CPR ;D

Lightning on the lake
I had a good friend of mine struck by lightning years ago/ It was the only lightning strike in the St Louis area that day. It didn't kill him but he had a big hole in his stomach and it blew the bottom of both feet off. I now live in the lightning capital of the world, central Florida, believe me at first sound of thunder I head for the house. CPR ;D

top water frogs
I have been using 50# Power Pro and a 7 ft heavy flipping rod. My trouble has not been getting them out cause everything I have caught has been under 2 lbs. I will keep trying and you all will hear me yell when I horse out that first 10lber CPR ;D

C-Rig Baits
CJHooker...I agree with you, that Paca craw is a new found friend. I have been catching them on the junebug color tho...I also have been catching some on a Yum Dinger. I am curious, I am fish moving water at the mouth of a river that has alot of water running, what size weigh do you use??? Thanks CPR ;D

What state are you from?
Originally from Missouri...Now I fish everyday on the Harris chain of lakes in Florida about 35 miles north of Orlando. And Paully 5lbr's are not easy to catch here either, moved here in Dec of last year and only managed 4 over 5 so far, and I have not caught "THE ONE" yet, but I am having fun trying and they are here. In the BASS tourny here in Feb the biggest fish was caught by a co-angler from Chicago and it weighted 11something. CPR ;D

Introductions
If you are going to stay with U/L and commit yourself to that style of bass fishing then I think you need to invest in better line. Either 4lb Power Pro braid or 6lb Yo-zuri hybrid. Either of these will keep you from breaking off as much, and they will both help with thw hook set as there is little or no stretch. Good luck and welcome CPR ;D

Fishing guest coming from Georgia
LBH That is very good of you..Ryan, you are very young and good things have a way of coming to good peaple. I don't know if you read all the post. but I once had that kind of problem as a younster, and it took a couple years to straighten out, but eventually I got back into fishing and for the last 20some years I have been a partner in a fishing business and been guideing several times a week in the summers. Now I am older and fish almost everyday as much as I want to. You hang in there and never loose your dream CPR ;D

Opinions on painted blade spinerbaits
When I was up north on the river awhite with white blades was one of my favorite lures for catching SM bass. I have tried it down here and not done much on it, but then I have not done much on anything LOL CPR ;D

Fishing guest coming from Georgia
Playmaker I agree with you 100%, but we never know family situations. At the age of 14 I was left to live on my own, first you have to get someway to feed yourself and at the time fishing was not paying me anything, so I had to give it up until a later date when my life stablized a little. I hope this is not what is happening with Senko, but you never know.
-
Who would you want to fish with???
George Cochran...We have something in common...AGE..LOL.also anyone who can win a 1/2 million dollar tourny on a buzzbait is my kind of a guy CPR ;D

WEEDS
I myself am just learniing to fish the heavy weeds down here. I recently have been having fun buzzing a zoom horney toad over the top of weeds or pads and just as I clear the weeds or come to a hole in the pads I stop it and hang on. I have caught several like this in the last couple days. Try it CPR ;D

Fishing guest coming from Georgia
I hate to see any person get out of fishing and especially a young person with so many years ahead of him. I had that problem as a kid I was forced to quit fishing, but when I got older I was rewarded with a wonderful lady who let me fish whenever I wanted. Hopefully something good will come of Senko77, he will never loose the bug to fish. All I can say young man is be patient, and don't be afraid to dream CPR ;D

Too hot for topwater?
Here in central Florida where the water temps are nere 90 I am having a hard time catching fish on a buzzbait, but I am catching them on a Devilshorse. I think the fact that it is a little slower is what they are wanting now. CPR ;D

Live bait
I agree live bait is NOT cheating. I want to see this guy catch "little bluegill" on a 12 inch wild shiner. If you fish a red wiggler you catch bluegill, but guys fishing large wild shiners are not catching bluegill nor are they cheating. I just wish I could do it a little better CPR ;D

cheap lures ($1.99)
I caught my biggest bass on a homemade lure...probably cost about 50 cents to make at the time. CPR ;D

New big bass baits from YUM!!
If you download the site that LBH put on his original message. LBH have you used them??? I am going to BPS in Orlando in the next couple days and I am going the try some. I have always been a fluke guy, but with the big bass and stripers here in Lake Harris I am going to give them a try. I have been using, with some success, a double fluke rig. I think this will be great as the trailer. Will look like a big fish chasing a smaller one. Thanks LBH CPR ;D
