  1. First off do you have suspending or sinking cranks like rapala countdown? 1 turn per 30 seconds? On a normal floating crank your crank will be in the surface and you aren't covering any water at all. Did you mean something else? I'm not sure if your phone is auto correcting or your grammar is off but people are having a hard time understanding you.
  2. Yeah the T3 and T3B should have been tested by the same person because they made a point of comparing the two reels when they was going to test the T3B. Also it was tested on completely different elements. I agree that they are entitled to their opinion, just like motortrend and car and driver which the article is based on the writer. I don't agree with them not even making a complaint on The Revo's max drag when it's half off from advertise. 10lbs is plenty for LMB but in such a competitive market false advertisement makes a difference. Back on track I've been casting the T3 I just got in the back yard. Right off the bat I can tell I'm going to like this reel. At $215 jump on it over the T3B.
  3. Just want peoples thoughts and opinions on these baits. I haven't had much luck on them but every time there is a sale on them I tend to buy a pack or two just collecting colors I guess . I've had much success on their line up of senkos, D shads, swim senkos, and Hula swimmers. Have you guys had much success on them? How do you rig them up? How do you fish them? What kind of structure are you fishing them in?
  4. Those guys on TT are great at their reviews but some of their reviews leaves me scratching my head. Example like stated above the T3B and spiral wrapped rod. Another one is the MGX got a pass on the reel falling apart because it was used in amazon fishing peacock bass. Why even take it out there and do a review and give it positives on it and disregard the negative? Another one I can think off the top of my head is the Revo Gen 3 lineup. AG advertise these reel to have 20lb drag but TT tested the STX and the Winch and it only came out to around 10-11lb of drag. Almost 50% off. You would think they would question it but they gave it a free pass too.
  5. Great choice! If you ever want a lighter reel for your next reel then try the Stradic Ci4. The 2500 one is 7.0 oz and the newer Ci4+ is only at 6.8oz. I could really feel the difference. The Stradic FJ is known to be a bit more refine in the retrieve though. Might have to do with the material on the body for the feel. Either one is a good choice.
  6. Ummmm why wouldn't he know? He posted pics of it and used it already.
  7. I have a friend that has a Revo STX gen 3 on a *** 7'1 MH. Balances superb and the color scheme seems like they were meant to be together. It looks sick!!!
  8. Just bought a second T3! That's two reels in two days. I've gone mad! If anyone wants to get the deals as good as mine and extra info PM me.
  9. The new ones are very light, all three top models. I am surprise there hasn't been much media coverage or advertisement from Pflueger on the release.
  10. Trust me you won't have a problem with Braids. I was using some cheap suffix mono and the reel made some weird rubbing noise on retrieve. I switched to braids for pitching 3/8oz jigs and it performed very nice, no rubbing or noise. Just that my hands are not big enough to pitch and use my thumb to close the hood. It would have been nice.
  11. I haven't used them but even a Daiwa rep I know said they are heavy and he recommended the Cielo over the Ballistic. This was at full retail though. At $50 I would think its a good deal. Thinking about getting a spinnerbaits model just because I don't want to spend a lot of money on a reactions rod for spinnerbaits.
  12. The T3 platform is a hate it or love it reel. I had the T3 Ballistic XS at 8.1:1 ratio. I've been following this platform for a long time and it has some mix reviews, and some issues that has now been fixed, and some false issues that just won't die. I'll give my personal review from an unbias user as I'm not a brand loyalist yet. T3B, if there was a version to get it'll be the XS at 8.1:1. Some have said they believe these models are more like a 2nd generation. Handle is different, some old issues has been resolved. Some likes it, some hates it. I didn't like mine. Wasn't smooth as I had hope, cast just barely further than my Lexa and wasn't the best for light lures. I am not a reel junkie just yet so I haven't been opening up reels and work on them. After a few outings I bought a Chronarch 50 series, fell in love and sold my T3B. The guy I sold the T3B to said he opened up the reel and cleaned the extra grease (I think) and said it's similar to his Zillions in smoothness. He really likes it. So that just shows you the love hate mix reviews on this reel. At $125 it's a killer deal. No braid grooving issues for me, it has been address by Daiwa so have no fear. The 3D brakes are very nice. Plus for this price you can tune it and buy all the typical Daiwa accessories for it. There's a lot of talk on this T3 platform on other forums. The more expensive T3 I would say most people that owns it like it from all my research. A $450 reel selling for $215 is a killer deal. I am going to use it for my light setup for smallies and river fishing. I have not used this reel so I cannot give a review on it. However I just ordered one from TW. Add the promo code and this $450 reel cost me $193.50!!! I am rewarded for being patient on Black Friday lol.
  13. Up north I wouldn't dare use Megabass 110's with Pikes and Ski's lurking around. The RC is good enough. Of the 4 I had I did have one that didn't suspend right.
  14. Thanks for the replies everyone. It's not a big deal but yeah I do find it odd that they are inconsistent with something like this on such a competitive market.
  15. So this might seem to be a stupid question or post but I just had to. I check the classifieds often for used reels and would always see people post that reel comes with box, bag, manual, and OIL. In the last 2 years I bought 2 brand new Shimano Chronarch 201E7, 1 51E6, Daiwa Lexa, Daiwa T3 Ballistic, and a Pro Qualifier. I have not gotten any supplied oil with my reels. I bought 2 reels at a big name tackle shop, 2 of them I order through TW, and the other 2 though other sites. So I was watching youtube and this guy called "Keepingitreal" has a channel and he was doing a review on his Chronarch 201E7. When he unboxed it he showed what came with it. Sure enough he pulled out a small bottle of oil. I'm not making a big deal out of this but I'm puzzled by this now. Just wondering if people get a bottle of oil or not when they buy brand new reels $150 and up.
  16. IMO if your using it for square bill and using it to bounce off structure like what square bills are truly made for I suggest MH crank rod. Even at MH a crank rod is still very flexible with its moderate action. If your using square bills for just a typical shallow diver than MM is fine. That's just my opinion.
  17. I've used the Phenix X10 MH, skeete Reese glass and now Gloomis GL2 MH and the one I liked more was the X10. I hated the glass rod feel but that's just me. The GL2 is very similar to the X10 but I thought the X10 felt a bit more sensitive. However I never had these rods at the same time. Sold one for another. Also I never used it much for what square bills are meant for. Banging off stumps and limbs. Only on occasion so I can't really say which one is better for that purpose. Wish I kept the X10. I'm thinking about the idea of using my *** medium fast action rod and putting mono on it.
  18. I'm using a 7'3 rod for casting distance and better long hook sets. Paired with a 201E7 with Bocas. Nothing more fun than frogging IMO.
  19. Get a $100 rod and look for a used Shimano Symetre for around $50. Great setup. Unless I'm fishing with brushes and trees behind me but I like longer rod since it cast further. Mine bank spinning setup is 7'2.
  20. I may try your suggestion on the rod.
  21. My guess is a ML will work for 1/8 inline spinners but will it be too weak for KVD 1.0? Everyone thanks for the feedbacks. Much appreciated.
  22. The GL2 was really for my square bill 3/8 to 1/2 setup and will pair it up with a lews bb1. Just haven't bought it yet. My 51e is really for my weightless fluke setup but I'm just messing around lately because LMB season is near the end up north. Now focused on Smallies before winter dooms us. I've just recently been chasing Smallies and it's so much fun that I want a dedicated setup for them even if I'm just splurging
  23. Hummmm I'm hearing that the ci4+ is a superior caster vs the CH50. Plus I just want the reel. Spring season comes I'll be chasing those walleyes and white bass so it'll be used often.
  24. Since you got a cranking setup I suggest getting an all around setup. $300 is a good price point. $200 reel and $100 rod. Mine is a Chronarch E and *** *** MH. You'll like this combo. Balances great. This is a very versatile setup.
