I'm probably no help but I was trying to figure out the same dilemma last week. I already had a carbonlight that I love so took a trip to bps to manhandle them both side by side. I ended up with the veritas but it took me over an hour in the rod isle to decide. They feel almost the same to me in weight. I like the grip better on the carbonlite but liked the overall feel of the veritas. Either way you will be happy.

Yeah I have some concerns on the veritas breaking. We're yours the regular or micro guides? I have a carbonlitght I use for crank baits and love it but really like the feel of the veritas.

Heading to BPS tomorrow to get a new rod. Going to primarily be a soft plastics rod. I'm thinking about the veritas or carbon light to pair up with a new baitcaster I got for Xmas. Any other options I should be considering? Price max is $100.

Hey guys and gals. I've been stalking this site for a few months and have learned a ton of info. I'm relatively new to fishing focusing on bass fishing. At the moment I'm shore bound but hope to fix that problem in the spring with a kayak. This site along with fishing has turned into an obsession. I started out with a cheap rod and reel and now have a total of four and more to come (as long as the wife doesn't find out). Just wanted to officially say hello. I thank you all for all the info that's posted here. I'm sure ill be asking a ton of questions along the way.
