  1. yeah shimmy my friend had an 80 fish day on that pond. So they are definitely in there.
  2. Thanks guys you made me feel a lot better haha. Yes that's me in the picture. I have been fishing for about 3 years, I was out of it for one spring and summer when I got into flying rc planes. I will try to cover more water and find fish, but that is really hard on a 6 acre pond with almost a mile of shoreline. What should I use as a search bait?
  3. Hey everyone I just got skunked again today. I know there are fish in the ponds I fish because I have caught them before. Yesterday, I went to a small drain pond, and my friend caught 1 fish on a weightless space monkey. it was really warm, about 65-70 degrees. I got skunked. I threw a jig, a wacky senko, a shaky head, a small crank......everything. today, I went to a different pond. My friend had caught 3 fish yesterday on a tube. It was down to 50 degrees and extremely overcast and misting rain. I fished for 2 hours with 1 bite (using a small tube), and no fish. He caught a fish right after I left. I had thrown everything at them again. Is it me or do I just have awful luck? I'm sick of getting skunked and I'm starting to think that I'm just a bad fisherman. I have gotten skunked at least 5 times in a row, and when I do catch fish, I never catch more than 2.
  4. +1 never liked his attitude.
  5. actually, I did a little digging on that a while ago and what actually happened was that little creeper wasn't doing so well and skeet reese offered to make a mass-produced version. Berkley bought the rights to make it. There's more info in the review section of the sick fish on the TW site. Back to the topic: I am hoping to start my own business. I need a TON of materials to make this bait. Balsa, hook, bills, epoxy, paint, wire, soft plastic, colorant, injecting materials, an aluminum mold......I do not have the money or experience to make this bait high quality. I would be better off selling the idea.
  6. Its a new kind of crankbait that has never been done before. I don't want to give to much info away right now but it is definitely pretty innovative. I'll work on a prototype over the summer and hopefully I'll have it to market before next season if not halfway through the summer.
  7. don't patents take years? O.o
  8. I'll see what I can do. I'm selling some rc airplane electronics soon so I will have a good $475 to spend on equipment.
  9. Hey everyone, thanks in advance for reading this. I am trying to make a name for myself as a lure designer and I think I have quite a few innovative things. I would like for a company to produce my lures and have my name on it to get my baits more well known. Would I have to produce them first and show them off to get noticed or would companies produce a bait they liked? I want to earn at least 10% of profit on my baits and have my name on them, but I just do not have the resources or money to start my own company. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cullen
  10. i fish a lot of stained ponds and a green pumpkin bait with a lot of vibration does well. i would use watermelon with clear water. i also use junebug on cloudy days so the fish can see it better.
  11. They rock. Great finish, awesome hooks, and they stand up perfectly. I was fishing a partly iced pond and I made a bad cast that landed on an inch of ice, and bounced 2' in the air. Reeled it back in, not a scratch!
  12. I use an old school backpack. 2 plano 3700's in the main pocket for my hardbaits, my 4 gallon bags of soft plastis go in the 2nd pocket, and my box of hooks and weight in the small front pocket.
  13. what a rig! If you don't mind me asking, how much did that all cost?
  14. If only I had WFN :'( fios took it away a year and a half ago and to get it you have to uprgrade to a package that costs an extra $150.....my parents say I would half to pay it
  15. JP DeRose......he seems like a really chill dude and he shares my powerteam lures addiction 2nd would be dave mercer, his laugh cracks me up and facts of fishing is my favorite show.
  16. Coffee tubes, and my personal favorite, the Powerteam lures craw tube.
  17. Is laser lures still around? Everyone was buzzing about them a few years ago and I haven't heard anything since. Did they go out of business or something?
  18. Yeah right. You wouldn't catch me buying from that webite. I like my lures to catch fish, not melt in my box like most cheap lures do. Not worth it to possibly get ripped off.
  19. Well you pick it up. And then you throw it. jokes aside, wacky rigged or weightless texas rigged on a 2/0 EWG hook when I need to cover ground faster or if I'm skipping under docks.
  20. Craw baits I use as jig trailers when they get ripped up, and I will melt down worms and repour them into a trick worm mold I made out of plaster. Don't try to melt down anything by roboworm, it turns into a nasty, sticky jelly-like substance.
  21. Got a bassmaster subscription? Next time you get a renewal thing, there is an option you an select for a free member bag. Perfect for holding bags of plastics.
  22. You would be surprised at what you can get away with. I have 2 rods. A 6' spinning and a 6' 6" baitcaster. I throw lures 1/4 oz. and under on the spinning setup and 3/8 to 3/4 oz. lures on the baitcaster. No issues yet. I would like to get a better spinning reel though, I'm using a POS shakespeare 3.6:1 gear ratio! Too slow!
  23. I like the little WFN comedy skits. Idk if that counts as a commercial though haha.
  24. Try 4-10lb berkley nanofil. Its a fused line, its as strong as regular braid and its completely clear.
  25. Are you teamrippinlipzz on youtube?
