Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I know this is an older thread, but I've searched though it and also other threads - looking at the 10e NXT, but none to be found. Local Academy as the standard 10e however. Is the only difference between the standard and NXT the seats and color, or are there other differences? Thanks

Thanks I will check them out - they don't appear to have anything listed now but I will keep checking.

Any NRX sales - most shops exclude them due to Shimano. TW would be 10% but if I can find a better deal... :).

Well dang I've been waiting 36 hours :(. I tried to subscribe again it says already subscribed. Already checked my junk/spam folders. Not a huge deal it's only $5 , but I know as soon as I order it will pop up in my inbox lol... maybe I try different email and see what happens.

Nice, picture shows the new style with better zipper handle, but at this deal I suspect they are closing out the older models. Either way good price I picked up a 30, (20 would have worked probably) but have been wanting to grab a do-all size soft cooler for a while now.

:). Local Academy doesn't carry any high end stuff... $99 lews reels are about as good as they get.

Agreed, I was going to post the same - their BM prices are really high to start with, not much of a deal compared to TW and the other popular online tackle shops...

That was disappointing... we had two here locally that had a decent selection before they went out of business. Their online presence is lacking, at least for fishing gear.

I swung by Academy today, picked up a few bags of Sweet Beavers and Skinny Dippers @ .98c a bag, plus a couple Columbia PFG shirts and shorts for almost 60% off. Didn't look at rods or reels maybe I should have lol.

Thanks, another JDM Steez 8:1 on the way... Can't decide whether to put it on my punch/flip setup or my CR setup though

Website for ethanol free gas locations
All the Wawa's here (jax, fl) have EF, but it's spendy. The Gate stations also have it and the price is within a few cents of Mid-Grade. I've actually started running it full time in my Ram 1500 5.7L and see about 3mph increase.

Best Line Spooling Station ?
I've tried a few over the years - the suction cup with spring/wingnut type, the old original Berkley, and recently the American Premier that is sold under a few names - got it during a Memorial Day sale for pretty cheap. Have also used method similar to the bucket (dish drainer for sinks that has ridges/spaces on bottom to keep spools from moving around... The Suction types never seem to work well, either the suctions fails or the cheap rod bends. The Old Berkely works ok for BC's, if you find one cheap on ebay or garage sale, etc... Tons of bad reviews on the new Berkely so haven't bothered with it. The American Premier type (there are several under different names) works OK, it's kind of a hassle to setup and keep oriented correctly but is one of the better ones for spinning reels, but takes longer to setup than to spool a reel most of the time. Also it doesn't like filler spools too much. I've got both the large and small plano boxes, even loaded with spools i find they can move around if you don't anchor them someway (feet, weight on top, etc) The Pro Strike System looks interesting but is costly and better suited for bulk use I would think. I just ordered the Jewel Baits pro spooler (http://xacttackle.com/pro-spooler.aspx) during the BF sales - simple design with hopefully weighted plate to keep it from moving around, but haven't received it yet. Honestly the bucket/drain tray deal works fine for large spools, not so much for filler spools although I rarely buy filler spools anymore.

Bass Pro Excel monofilament
I use it mainly for backer/filler, but it's OK line for bargain cost - I usually have 6/10/15 bulk spools around at any given time.

I've seen a lot of McCoys sales/clearances over the past few months at various online sites - wonder if McCoy is going out of business?

Angling Edge/Lindner DVDs
I noticed Lindner's Angling Edge has their set of 16 Bass related DVD's on sale as a set - anybody watched these and found them informative? Or are they just re-hashes of the In-Fisherman Bass Fishing DVDs from previous years?

I figured that was it :). yeah I used BTD a lot when they were still around, some folks over on TOF had issues with them, but I never did. Too bad they closed shop. Now it's all another site or TW pretty much, so I'll check out Tackle Supply Depot

yeah the double stack really helps, I picked up some more jackhammers and some 8xd's, really cuts into the cost of those, and free shipping to boot. Although I don't know why I bother buying 8XD's have no idea where I'm going to throw them in NE Florida lol...

DSG anything ending in .x3 or x7 qualifies for the buy 5 get 5 free deal. Local shop Senko's were not included, and yeah a ton of clearance stuff was dotted (excluded) as well. I was there returning something and they give you a $10 of $50 good for 3 hours so I was roaming the fishing isles and had a pile of clearance stuff but none of it actually qualified

Tackle Box Tray Census : ) What do you use ?
Little of everything, was all FTO back in the day, the original system, but Plano ruined them. So using Flambeau's for storage at home with the blue anti rust deal, and mostly Bass Mafia now on the water. I do use one Plano.. well Tackle Logic (it's old, lol) 3750, which makes a great Frog box. It's normal rows/dividers across top half, and open on bottom half, so room for plenty of hollow body frogs on top half, plus bagged horny toads in the bottom half, kind of a one stop Frog box. Also just started using a Lg. Bass Mafia Boss bag - keep plenty of spinnerbaits, jigs, chatterbaits, buzzbaits etc in the windowpane envelopes, plus also plenty of room for trailer plastics. Basically another "one stop" bag for lead headed baits in general. Then a bait coffin for terminal tackle, a couple caskets maybe for any hard cranks depending on the day - and all fits in one of those Flambeau "reusable grocery bag" type bags. Then a small Gamakatsu Dry backpack with some extra soft plastics, tools, rain gear, lunch, etc. Thus I typically show up as a Co with a few rods, a "grocery sack' and a small backpack
