  1. I know this is an older thread, but I've searched though it and also other threads - looking at the 10e NXT, but none to be found. Local Academy as the standard 10e however. Is the only difference between the standard and NXT the seats and color, or are there other differences? Thanks
  2. Thanks I will check them out - they don't appear to have anything listed now but I will keep checking.
  3. Any NRX sales - most shops exclude them due to Shimano. TW would be 10% but if I can find a better deal... :).
  4. Well dang I've been waiting 36 hours :(. I tried to subscribe again it says already subscribed. Already checked my junk/spam folders. Not a huge deal it's only $5 , but I know as soon as I order it will pop up in my inbox lol... maybe I try different email and see what happens.
  5. Nice, picture shows the new style with better zipper handle, but at this deal I suspect they are closing out the older models. Either way good price I picked up a 30, (20 would have worked probably) but have been wanting to grab a do-all size soft cooler for a while now.
  6. :). Local Academy doesn't carry any high end stuff... $99 lews reels are about as good as they get.
  7. Agreed, I was going to post the same - their BM prices are really high to start with, not much of a deal compared to TW and the other popular online tackle shops...
  8. I was hoping for a SuperBowl Sunday coupon but nothing :(.
  9. That was disappointing... we had two here locally that had a decent selection before they went out of business. Their online presence is lacking, at least for fishing gear.
  10. deleted, word filter kills it.
  11. I swung by Academy today, picked up a few bags of Sweet Beavers and Skinny Dippers @ .98c a bag, plus a couple Columbia PFG shirts and shorts for almost 60% off. Didn't look at rods or reels maybe I should have lol.
  12. Thanks, another JDM Steez 8:1 on the way... Can't decide whether to put it on my punch/flip setup or my CR setup though
  13. Looks like another eBay code for today - PICKUPSALE - 10% of tech, 15% of everything else...
  14. All the Wawa's here (jax, fl) have EF, but it's spendy. The Gate stations also have it and the price is within a few cents of Mid-Grade. I've actually started running it full time in my Ram 1500 5.7L and see about 3mph increase.
  15. I've tried a few over the years - the suction cup with spring/wingnut type, the old original Berkley, and recently the American Premier that is sold under a few names - got it during a Memorial Day sale for pretty cheap. Have also used method similar to the bucket (dish drainer for sinks that has ridges/spaces on bottom to keep spools from moving around... The Suction types never seem to work well, either the suctions fails or the cheap rod bends. The Old Berkely works ok for BC's, if you find one cheap on ebay or garage sale, etc... Tons of bad reviews on the new Berkely so haven't bothered with it. The American Premier type (there are several under different names) works OK, it's kind of a hassle to setup and keep oriented correctly but is one of the better ones for spinning reels, but takes longer to setup than to spool a reel most of the time. Also it doesn't like filler spools too much. I've got both the large and small plano boxes, even loaded with spools i find they can move around if you don't anchor them someway (feet, weight on top, etc) The Pro Strike System looks interesting but is costly and better suited for bulk use I would think. I just ordered the Jewel Baits pro spooler (http://xacttackle.com/pro-spooler.aspx) during the BF sales - simple design with hopefully weighted plate to keep it from moving around, but haven't received it yet. Honestly the bucket/drain tray deal works fine for large spools, not so much for filler spools although I rarely buy filler spools anymore.
