  1. Happy birthday! I wish my loved ones would take a cue from your wife when they choose my presents.
  2. Congratulations! You got yourself a fantastic reel. I love the 2 I have and will probably add another down the road.
  3. We have carp in the United States. I would try using a lipless crankbait, or even a spinnerbait. The jerkbait would also be something I'd throw. Tight lines!
  4. You'll love it! I can't go out on the water without the urge to use this real.
  5. I'm wondering if those of us that aren't concerned about the costs of soft plastics are more regularly fishing tournaments were we have a potential paycheck looming vs recreational fishermen who don't have the possibility to cover the costs? Not pointing any fingers. Just curious.
  6. Go smaller on the jig, 1/4oz + trailer. The size you're using is better suited for water 10+ feet deep, IMHO.
  7. They are a really good rod for $150. Amazing at $100. Are you sure you're not getting the Ghost for $100?
  8. The front paddles look like the type used by gambler on their ugly otter in that it has a line you can cut to split it.
  9. Silverthread is a good fluorocarbon line for a great price.
  10. Junebug is awesome!!! When buying soft plastics my choice in colors goes black (with or without blue flake), junebug, and then green pumpkin. Like others have stated it works great in stained water, but can be used in all conditions.
  11. Seaguar smackdown really impressed me.
  12. As good as the Roboworms are for dropshot I've done just as well using them t-rigged. Martins Magic is my choice of color.
  13. I meant the pixy type r. I believe they can be bought for about $350 on fleabay.
  14. Get a type r and you'll have both!
  15. Thanks, but I cannot take all the credit. A low hanging branch helped me.
  16. I have a few silent trap type baits. One of them being the Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap. Never caught a fish on any of them. I'm going to remove them from my tackle box by the end of the season. I'm sure they work somewhere, but not on my lakes.
  17. Is English your second language? Not poking fun. I've read a few of your posts and they are difficult to understand.
  18. Power Team Lures Hawgtonic for soft baits. Megastrike for hard baits, but I've been also using it as lube to get tube jigs into tubes a little bit easier.
  19. Zoom finesse worm, black. 5" senko, black with blue tip. 1/4oz jig in pb&j, junebug GYCB flapping hog trailer.
  20. I fish out of the central basin between the vermilion river to geneva in 20 to 30FOW. It's stained, but even on the western basin by Kellys Island where the water is shallower and a bit more clear it works well. I believe smallies just like the color.
  21. I got one of these in the gold black color through the flea market from another member, and was floored by how well it worked. Nice little bait even with the rather steep price. You won't be disappointed!
  22. I completely agree with you, Raul. I used to think that rattle trap type baits were all one in the same. I was proven wrong in a club tournament 2 years ago. I was throwing one of my Rat-L-Trap brands and not getting a bite. The boater I was with threw me an extra one of his X caliber xr50 (out of pity) and I started bringing them in. I now have a wide variety of brands, sizes, and colors at my disposal.
  23. Smallmouth bass on Lake Erie devour pink/bubblegum/cotton candy colors. If they're good enough for 4# and larger smallies they are good enough for me.
