  1. I second the kits. Jann's Netcraft has a good one for about $20.
  2. I'm with you on this. I bought a few bags to try out last season and they did nothing to make me want to continue using them. There are way better options out there.
  3. Daiwa zillion are going for a good price. Check it out.
  4. I just picked up my 2nd zillion. Enjoy it.
  5. I agree. I have two, and both are on a Duckett. Great match!
  6. You'll love it. I have that exact same rod. I've used it for so many things like topwater, flukes, and jerkbaits.
  7. Congratulations on the purchase. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Daiwa PX-R so I can relate to your excitement. I hope the joy meets your expectations.
  8. Just grab any 6 War Eagle spinnerbaits, and those are what I would choose.
  9. 1/0 or 2/0 size should be what you use.
  10. In thick slop I don't think it makes a difference, but in open water it may.
  11. They have a 6'6" med rod for jerkbaits in the MicroMagic line.
  12. How doesthe Reaction Innovation Bass Harasser fish? I got a bunch of sizes for $5/ea during black Friday. 4" through 8" sizes. Varying between all three fall rates. I'm not expecting them to be perfect, but I'm just starting out with swimbaits and am wondering if there's anything I need to understand about them.
  13. Has anyone gotten their hands on this yet? How is it?
  14. If a leader knot passing through a micro guide is your concern then don't use a leader, or don't get micro guides. When in doubt on the type of rod to get go with a MH/F rod in appropriate length.
  15. The baby dbomb is even better!
  16. I've been keeping them in the small sandwich sized freezer bags that have the white strip across them to write the color, length, and type so I know what I'm using. When the bag runs out I refill the bag when I get back home.
  17. I have converted to the River2Sea spittin wa frog. This frog does it all, and well!
  18. I've bought several Swimbaits, a Daiwa zillion reel, and tungsten weights. My list of things to buy still includes a Daiwa PX68 Type R, a few duckett rods, and line.
  19. Alum Creek is a great fishery!
  20. You can rent a jonboat at Mogadore for the day for $60 - with trolling motor. Check out the northern reservoir of Portage lakes. The army Corp of engineers have a facility on Meyers Island and it has a walking path around the island. One side of the path is a murky channel and the other side is wide open water. And a bonus is that you are less than 1 mile from land. big. fish.
  21. I think he's asking for additional clarification from the poster of said ridiculous comment.
  22. Make sure you wet your line with saliva. If you have a smartphone you can download load the knot wars app, too.
  23. Owner has hooks that they sell called jig rig. They have a welded ring already in the hooks eye. All you need to do is add a #2 split ring and the weight.
