  1. Ah. I see. Take the rod in with you. If you get it before of course!
  2. Check out the Shimano Sahara. I have 2 and they are great reels. Some folks on here are Shimano NUTS! I'm not though. If you just match your reel with the rod and go with it. If you purchase the rod and reel at the same time at BPS have a salesperson help you and put the reel on the rod and see how it is balanced. The above reels you mentioned may all feel differently on that rod. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Owasso. I ran buy there about an hour ago. Someone must have goofed. The price was no longer $64.
  4. I even put my closest store in and the only circular I can find is the recent sale they have going on until Feb. 21st. The anticipation is killing me. Although the Classic Expo will have better deals I'm sure so I don't know that BPS will get much money from me this time around!
  5. WOW! That's awesome. I was lucky enough to go to the BASS Nation banquet last month and they honored the OSU fishing team for their championship. 2 great and respectful young men. Very lucky future fisherman.
  6. Score! When I think of Bill Dance his magazine that he published for a while pops in my head. Wal-Mart carried the mag and I was very impressed. I liked how they showed virtual pics of fish holding to cover as they were discussing the topics and techniques. I wish they were still publishing it! I bet I have some of the old ones. I am a magazine junky!
  7. I have to go with the Pond Magic. My only reason is I don't have any SK's. I caught a mis-mark at Wally World. They had the Pond Magic's at a buck a piece! Needless to say they put them on order when I was done!
  8. Keep checking online. They will have an online add that you can flip through before you actually get it in the mail.
  9. I love my PQ's! I have seen them as low as $70 on sale. They have over 600 reviews at 5 stars. I don't know anything about the Extreme but I am sure it is a great product. IMHO
  10. Just went out with my 3 year old little girl yesterday for a bit. She got bored really quick. So we then went to the playground equipment to swing and slide. I have a 13 year old son also. I just started really getting back into fishing this last year. I have taken him some in the past but not near enough. When it warms more I hope to find a little john boat to trick out and we can go more. We have hunted our tales off though. He has proved to deadlier than I with a rifle in hand. The best thing I could pass on to my children is a love for the outdoors my pops and my uncle's instilled in me when I was their age.
  11. I always browse the fishing section every time I go in. At my local store they have the Vendetta 2's at $64. Regular $79.95. Just thought I would let everyone know that likes these rods or are looking to purchase one.. Check your local Wally World!
  12. My shaky heads came in Friday. I can't wait to try them out!

    No prob!
  14. Largemouth, buzzbait, 51F Barely a ripple. It was just gone and I felt pressure. I set the hook and it weighed maybe 2 lbs. It was in flooded timber. We were working a creek channel bend in about 6ft of water and it was dropping to about 13ft.
  15. The weather was perfect yesterday in Oklahoma.
  16. My biggest fish this past year came off of that color!
  17. I like beer. No I love beer! But I do have a problem "if" the pro's like Jimmy Houston choose not to have the sponsor on their boat or jerseys don't get points for qualifying for the big tournaments. That is one reason Jimmy switched to FLW over BASS. They would allow him to fish but he wasn't allowed to accrue points to win AOY or to qualify for the Classic. This is all based on their religion of course.
  18. Flat sided crankbaits have a tighter wobble. They are better in cold water temps and awesome during pre-spawn.
  19. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-rage-tail.html Straight from the creators mouth. You can also go to the rage tail website. Click on the Rage Tail icon and then proceed to their "how to rig" and you can see diagrams of how to rig them. I purchased some rage toads to try this year and some hollow body frogs as well. I will have a dedicated rod and reel with me every tournament this year to do some froggin!
  20. I love the Vibra King and SK coffee tubes. BUT man those MEGAstrike tubes look great!

  22. Spro, LC, #5 and #7 shad rap. The shad rap is hard to beat. I always have one tied on in the early spring.
