School Me On Lew's Reels
I have not tried their spinning reels but I can guarantee their baitcasters are top notch.

Pond Fishing
This. Throw it in and let is sink. Watch your line. If they are in there, you will see that line move and you just cross their eyes! Caught fish in the dead of winter like this.

Bass Pictures
I am having a hard time believing he caught a redear that big, but there is still no way that is bigger than a 5lb bass.

Jig Fishing May Not Be For Me.........
This! I threw a swimbait about a mile and backlashed my reel on my FIRST cast this Sunday. I put down my reel and grabbed another with a jig. Caught 6 in about 4 hours on the river. Not monster numbers but water was about 44 degrees.

New Rod And Reel Combo
I bought one Cherrywood and it lasted a month. It snapped on a hook set. I would go with an amp or lightning if bass fishing. Just my thoughts.

School Me On Lew's Reels
I love Lew's. I believe they offer a great reel in all price points. They put their best foot forward in trying to build the client base that Shimano and Abu have worked so hard to get. I believe their recent popularity could also be due to Shimano continually putting out inferior versions of supposedly the same reel each generation. Abu seems to have really done well with the new revos and rods. I am not a loyal fan by any means, but I do own two team lews and they are pretty sweet. Light, durable, built great, and cast like dreams.

Is It Just Me Or......
I am on the Team Lew's and Shimano Bandwagon. Both fill different needs for me and both are awesome!

New Finesse Fishing Set-Up
That is tough. I use a Pflueger MG with a Veritas and it destroys, so I know any of those setups would do the same. I have found that line makes all the difference. I use an 8lb flouro and throw 1/8 to 1/4oz jigs and absolutely clean up! Best of luck as I do not think you will make a bad choice with those options.

Spinnerbait Vs. Squarebill
This past summer, I used both religiously. The squarebill while nice just does not feel as good as a spinner to me. I use both but I can cast a spinnerbait further do not have to worry about treble hooks and tend to get bigger fish in my area.

Hello guys! Anyone have any feedback on the Depth Finders? We are looking at the Lowrance Elite's but do not have much experience with them.
