  1. Texas Rigged Beaver. Can catch them anywhere with it.
  2. Bwahahahaha this is pretty much true.
  3. Dick's has had sweet beavers on sale the past two times I have went. They were $1.99 a pack. I bought every d**n bag at that price. It must have been a discontinued color for them or something (magic craw swirl- my favorite). I usually only buy craws and beavers. Worms work every now and then, but I have so much more luck with Jigs (craws) and t-rigged beavers. Be open to brands as they will all go on sale at academy. Rage craws were a $1.99 a couple weeks ago so I bought them. Then next week it was havoc products so I bough the pit boss. If you are open to all brands, you can really save some money and get a chance to fish different baits with different actions.
  4. I can throw weightless senkos on almost anything. You probably have your line a little too heavy though.
  5. Tie between the Missile Baits Dbomb or Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver. Number two would be the havoc pit boss! Those three baits will catch some serious fish.
  6. What reel will throw a shad rap size 5? Spinning only?
  7. An NRX and Steez will put you there. Any two Megabass combos outside the Orochi XX. My most expensive set up is a DX744 with a Team Lew's Pro. Love that thing.
  8. I use a zip tie. Wrap it the same way. Your way is reusable and I like it.
  9. I use Braid with a flouro leader. Braid casts better, sits on the spool easier, and gives me more sensitivity when fishing with bottom baits. I use Flouro for all moving baits though.
  10. That may be, but I would bet you a ton of money I can tell the difference in MY Chronarch E series and the Curado G series. I can tell a difference between the Curado E series and the Chronarch.
  11. Beaver first! It flips much easier with a smaller weight. I also find it to pull through weeds easier. Crawdad second as these are what most other baits try to mimic. Then, the creature (ie Brush hog or the like).
  12. How do the Zillions handle? I am thinking about getting one for Flipping.
  13. Sweet Beaver outfishes them all. My buddy and me fished this weekend and I caught wayyyy more fish. 2 to 1 ratio.
  14. Yep. That is the teardrop. *** throwing out the stops to be on the forefront of some markets.
  15. PQ is a good entry level reel. The Ethos/Mettle Combo at Academy is a good one too.
  16. The rod construction is great and is by far one of the better rods in that price range. I just know compared to my Irod, it does not hold a candle, but then again maybe it shouldn't. I would love to try an ***.
  17. The *** is not as sensitive as I would like it to be. Great rod though.
  18. Hell I am trying to get my wife to upgrade to a spinning reel.
  19. I have an ***. It is a great rod in terms of build and quality, but it is not as sensitive as I would like. My Irod Air and Dobyn's both blow it away. To be honest, my Abu Garcia Villain does too. Now these are all more expensive rods, but I am just giving you my honest opinion. They are build very very well and would make great reaction rods.
  20. I too would love to try some new flick sticks. Let us know when they are available.
  21. Went to Lowes this weekend and bought (2) three packs of clear shoe totes. Plastic bags fit well inside (except for big worms 10") and they were only like 3.99 for 3 of them.
  22. Dave did a better job promoting it. Dave is great except for his laugh.
  23. Three loops over the two and the knot will not give. I have had a palomar give a couple of times, but the Jansik has not. Palomar still has its place and is good. I just like to test out new things.
  24. I like Braid with a leader simply because I pitch into heavy cover. Flouro also has too much stretch for me.
  25. Braid- Sufix 832 or PP/ Jansik Special Knot...beats the palomar by a mile in terms of strength and just as easy to tie to me. Yo-zuri- San Diego Jam Seaguar invizx- San Diego Jam
