  1. I use a mettle as my frog reel. Mainly because it is dispensable as I have several just sitting on the shelf if need be. I can throw a frog further than most my friends with 65lb braid on it!
  2. BP PQ hands down! Best reel for that price range no question.
  3. I picked some up during the BPS spring classic too. Caught four fish on the Hart jig with that trailer this weekend. Quit using it because they ripped off my arms ha ha. They work!
  4. Someone let me know if the Menace is available online.
  5. Jigs and weedless plastics work for me.
  6. I graduated to a baitcaster a month after seriously starting to fish. I now have 10 baitcasters and only three spinning setups.
  7. I ordered like 40 Jigs the other day ha ha. I love them! I have been catching ten fish a day on them for the past couple weeks!
  8. Love Rage products. Have not tried many havoc products. Bite it baits have been good to me.
  9. Strike King for Spinners mainly because it is all I have used. I like the burner series. Siebert Outdoors for jigs (a sponsor here). My favorite plastic would easily have to be some sort of craw. Rage craw or net bait paca craw work good for me.
  10. I will try to help anyone. I am not a professional but if I am on the fish, I want others to experience the same. Especially those who are new or not as experienced.
  11. Mike does a great job. Which is why I placed a large order and recommend him to all my friends.
  12. Ordered three from Siebert today. I tend to like the wire tired spinners like War Eagle or Siebert.
  13. I have used both Seaguar Kanzen and Power Pro and I think I like the Kanzen better. I like Sufix 832 a tad better than those though.
  14. I use a small finesse jig with a baby paca craw trailer. I work on a slack line and just hop it for a second then let it sit. My line will take off and ready set hooK! Caught a 1.5lb fish off a bank in 2 feet of water yesterday doing this. Only fished for 30 minutes. Obviously I would love more but a fish is a fish when it is cold.
  15. I would fish private ponds and lakes if I had some. It is much easier to catch big fish on less pressured waters. I think a big bass out of a lake or river is much more of an accomplishment, but I would fish wherever I could.
  16. Smallie wins this hands down.
  17. Shimano Curado 50e on Dobyn's 744 CH Extreme. Glistens in the sun.
  18. Man that is a nice dicks there. Seriously we only have a hand full of lures on the shelf almost all the time. I honestly love Academy. They always have their stuff stocked here. Could just be the management.
  19. I am confused why Lew's would not put the BB1 Technology in all of their upper tier reels. Give the customer the best product and they will keep coming back. Again just my opinion.
  20. RW: How much of a leader do you use with moving baits?
  21. This absolutely kills me. Dicks is terrible. Never have stock of anything, only carry a select select few decent rods and reels, and they have zero knowledge. Don't shop at Dicks. Buy local or at a good online vendor.
  22. Either use a wacko rig or an octopus hook with an actual Yamamoto Senko. Use light line and always work with a slack line. You will see the line move and just sent the hook. Easy way to catch tons of fish.
  23. Sounds awesome! St. Croix is a great brand. I do not own any but I give credit where it is due.
