  1. I didn't have a fishfinder all last season from my canoe. To find potential deep areas I keep it simple 1 - Look around the shoreline for any very steep banks. If they are that steep then generally the continue down into the water like that. 2 - Points. A tapering point is textbook. Fish all around the point from deep to shallow. After that I tackle it using the Top/Middle/Bottom technique. Top - Spinnerbait generally. Jerkbait works well too. Trying to get the aggressive ones to come up and strike. Middle - Drop shot. Trying to hit the lethargic suspended ones. Bottom - It's a slow process but I use a 1/2oz Football jig dragged along the bottom. When I feel something I pause, hop, twitch it until I get bit. Notice how my presentation slows as I go deeper. If that isn't successful move on to the next spot. Good luck!
  2. Awesome ... I love the perch one ... almost jumped at my screen to bite it.
  3. I go with 15 Seaguar Invizx FC. I fish generally 1/2 oz spinners.
  4. I was out in Sacramento, CA and was able to scrounge up an hour to fish each day. Sometimes it's not about the catching :-) I will be in Dallas, TX this weekend and you bet I will be taking the MegaStrike on my trip! I expect to catch bass there. :-)
  5. I tend to gravitate towards finesse first. As pressured as our lakes are up here it's the only way to get a bite sometimes.
  6. 7 year old Marley actually catching the fish https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10200328096237658 Marley kissing the fish https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10200328322683319
  7. "One minute of silence in meditation contains infinite information." - You don't need to be Zen to take this advice. The next time you find yourself overwhelmed with something (fishing or otherwise) try this. Take one minute to slowly breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Concentrate on the breaths and nothing else. It's amazing how that stress relief exercise can help you through a sticking point.
  8. Wont know until you try it. You can always cut off the tip a bit to tighten up the profile. It should work.
  9. I will be there this coming weekend. Finally away from the frozen lakes of Upstate NY. Can anyone point me to places where I can fish from the bank? Any tips, advice etc. would be appreciated.
  10. Get him on Zona's show and watch things start to change. LOL
  11. Between the original and garlic it's a toss up. The craw have amino acids from crawfish shells. If I were to buy just one it would be original. Two would be original and craw. I have all 4 just because. :-)
  12. Just posted about this including pics on your other post. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/114353-does-megastrike-really-work-hmmm-made-some-believers-this-weekend/
  13. Last but not least ... As you can see MegaStrike won the percentage battle on my wallet this weekend. LOL
  14. This set is the best. Jim Mayberry helped this girl catch her first ever bass. The smile on her face was priceless. 1) Get ready to set the hook 2) We got her 3) Now you have to kiss it. LOL
  15. Here's the pictures I promised ... Pictures of my Crew and the MegaStrike crew and one pic with a person who I think you will recognize. :-)
  16. I met Bobby and crew at the show. I need to upload some awesome pics from the event. I watched as each workshop came and went. The fish were semi active and while some of them struck lures they were not very aggressive in general. They would take some lures but spit them out quite quickly. Then comes the mega strike demo. Started with the spinnerbaits with some nippers but nothing to write home about. Then came the swim bait with Mega put on. All of a sudden the fish would not let go. It was clearly a difference from the way they took lures all day. I saw one fish fight like hell to keep that d**n swim bait in its mouth. The coolest demo was with the drop shot. Bobby lubed the lure and the sinker. The fish were attacking both of them as aggressively as the swim bait. It was a blast to see it in person. Needless to say I stocked up for the season. Great meeting you Bobby and thanks for making such an awesome product!
  17. Mike Iaconelli this weekend.
  18. I say hell yes. I wish there was a better way to authorize a record rather than killing the fish. In golf you don't need a pga representative to witness your course record or hole in one.
  19. What options do I have for using a 7:1 reel? Looking for inspiration for a new setup. All my setups are 6.4:1. Thanks.
  20. Pm me. I have something that might help.

  22. Awesome bait! Awesome deal! Great on a shakey head, wacky drop shot, T-Rigged or Carolina rigged.
  23. Had the best time at the Suffern, NY show with the Megastrike crew led by Bobby, Mike Iaconelli and my fishing crew from upstate New York. Pictures to come soon.
