Personal Best And No Proof!
Absolutely!

Fishing In A Cast...
If you are going to fish I would suggest finesse ... namely light wire hooks and finesse baits. This makes the hookset easier. As much as it would pain me I might sit it out though.

Best Scent?
I am partial to Megastrike. I find scent in general works best in colder waters. Hard to see a difference between Late Spring and Early Fall.

Personal Best And No Proof!
I made a joke to my friend that my P.B. will grow with time. It's 23" inches the day we measured it. By the time I am 50 it will be the size of a large Striped Bass and a World Record which I missed out on. LOL

Personal Best And No Proof!
Has anyone ever caught a genuine lunker or personal best just to realize you camera is in the car. Happened on Sunday to me. Caught a chunky 23" bass on a drop shot from my canoe. My canoe buddy was witness but neither of us brought our phones. Kills me that I don't have a pic of that beast!

Fishing As An "out"
It's definitely my out! Just being on or near water does it for me!

Senko On Constant Slow Retreive
I actually have tried the following "non-standard" senko approaches with marginal success 1) Weightless T-Rig as topwater. Reel just fast enough to form a wake. Done this through lilly pads. Had some strikes but not much. 2) Weighted T-Rig dragging along the bottom. Keep bottom contact keep it moving. Much more successful than #1 3) Weightless twitched like a fluke. I let the senko sink to the bottom, wait a sec or 2, twitch it up and let it sink again. Caught a good amount of bass doing this. This is besides the typical stuff you do with a senko (wacky, etc.) It's all up to your imagination IMO. I like to experiment with all my baits. If it works then you have a new "trick" if not then move on to something else.

Whats Your Hottest Lure?
Finesse worm - trig, mojo, wacky, drop shot. The only thing I haven't done is use it as a trailer.

What Is Your Preferred Gear When Fishing Smallies?
If they are aggressive then a baitcast reel and power fishing techniques. Otherwise it's spinning gear and finesse all the way!

Spinnerbait Help
After some experimentation it turned out to be the trailer hook which was causing it to turn over. I rigged it with a rigid trailer. In other words plastic over the loop of the trailer hook and then pushed through the main hook. I fished it without the trailer hook and it tracked perfectly at high speeds. Need to try the "loose" trailer hook to see if it will still track straight. I didn't have any to test this.

M Or Mh For Finesse Spinning Application
I have a 6'6" I have used for all those techniques. Not ideal for all but for fun fishing I have been able to make it work.

Double Uni Knot - How Many Loops?
I am curious about how many loops you use on either end of a double uni knot. Assume 10lb braid with an 8lb leader.

The Bait Monkey Has Me By The...
Lol. Now that's funny!

Scatter Rap Spiraling On Retrieve
I was using 10lb braid with an 8lb Fc leader. It was the countdown model.

Joe I am learning the same thing bud.

The Mojo Rig
I just finished a tournament on Lake Champlain where I ended up fishing the MOJO rig almost exclusively. I placed 6th which is the best I have ever done in my league. Thank you Glenn!!!

Best Line For Spinning Gear...
Another vote for PowerPro and a leader. Seaguar Invizx for me.

Scatter Rap Spiraling On Retrieve
I will try that next time I am out.

Scatter Rap Spiraling On Retrieve
Guys, I was fishing a Scatter Rap and on the retrieve it would spiral on me. Like a plane doing coils. The retrieve was moderate. Slowing it down eliminated it but it also eliminated the action. Anyone else experience this?

Strike King Premier Pro Model Jig
I am a big fan of these jigs. While Swim jigs do a better job of swimming through the weeds you can also get away with swimming these. Try it. Caught 2 large bass in a tournament this year using the black/blue with a rage craw trailer.

What's A Good Multi-Purpose Rod?
I am partial to Abu Garcia stuff. They have an ORRA S combo which should fit your needs for a beginner rod/reel.

Drop Shotting Dirty Water
In dirty water I up size the hook and lure. My favorite right now is a 3/0 EWG with a trick worm. For something with more action may I suggest a Recon worm (ribbon tail) and slowly reel it back consistently. Also 4" Keitech shads

How Many Rods Do You Use.
For any given tournament I use 6 rods. 1 - jig/punchy stuff 2 - trig plastic 3 - top water 4 - drop shot 5 - weightless plastic 6 - spinnerbait
