Big Bass Commentary
I thought it was originally 1:4 and 1:8 as the comparison. That's a big difference. From the article: About one in eight to one in four trophy bass were caught by anglers in the state each year.

Big Bass Commentary
I agree. Doesn't that also mean that 3:4 and 7:8 are smaller fish, thus making trophy bass more elusive. Pretty weird study.

Big Bass Commentary
Look at the statistics from the BPT event on Kissimmee earlier in the year, I think that tells the real story.

Why Aren't Spare Spools Available
I know the internet is tough to navigate sometimes, but you can literally type in "Daiwa tatula ct spool" in google and have a bunch of results in less than a second.

Why Aren't Spare Spools Available
Well you can buy spare spools. If you are asking why they aren't included, it would mean the $200 reel would cost $250 and people like myself wouldn't buy it because I don't need an extra spool. No sense in throwing in extras and having to charge more.

General World Championship (spoiler alert)
Just got around to watching it today. Wow, Wheeler put on a display. That being said, I was disgusted by the way Tak, A-Mart, and Ike basically went and fished the same water in period 2. Tak was within a few feet of him at times. I would have been livid. In fact, I don't think Jacob was very happy about it. Pretty poor sportsmanship in my eyes. Aaron even threw shade at Jacob on camera calling him arrogant. Well he has every right to be, since he literally destroyed him by 40 lbs. I lost a lot of respect for those guys after watching that.

zoom super flukes
I have dipped the white pearl and rainbow shad in Spike-It and it seems to work well. The markers might work good too.

Starting Striper fishing
One of the most effective ways I have caught stripers is on flu flu jigs. A double set-up with a foam bobber in early mornings can be killer. You may have to play around with depth depending on where you are fishing. Much like LMB a lipless or deep diving crankbait work well. Although I haven't had much success, I know a lot of guess can jig a spoon and catch them. Also there are swim baits and sassy shads on heavy jig heads. Good luck, I love catching them.

Line question for two reels.
It's kind of like shampoo and conditioner, everyone has different opinions.

Line question for two reels.
I have, but I know some people would advise against it.

Line question for two reels.
Sure! I usually fish stained water so I am not worried about line shy fish. That being said, if I am on a clear lake and notice my partner hooking up more than me then I will throw a leader on. I will also tie a leader on when fishing a rocky lake or area of the lake.

Line question for two reels.
I use green on moving baits because I don't watch my line. I use yellow sufix on bottom contact because I watch my line like a hawk.

Why I fish but do not hunt since age 12.
I fish and I kill things. I love doing both.

Lures for hybrid striped bass
A-rig, chrome lipless, swimbait, chrome spoons, any top water if you see them busting shad in the morning or evening. In the morning you can look for the birds first to see if the are on bait fish, the hybirds/stripers will be near by.

Hospital Lures
Never happened to me, but I was fishing with a buddy and he ripped an XR 50 out of some reeds and it stuck in the pad of his hand. Probably should have went to the ER but it was a tourney so I used the needle nose and cutters to get it out.
